The Charleston landfill is a location in the Forest region of Appalachia. It is a public workshop with claim and defend event quests.

Background

This vast junkyard on the outskirts of Charleston was once the central dump for the city. What was once a source of refuse is now a strategic resource for survivors, who can benefit from the junk cornucopia.

Layout

The Charleston landfill is a dump on the western edge of Charleston, near the AVR Medical Center. It contains many junk piles that can be harvested either by hand or using a junk extractor. An industrial water purifier sits in a small pool of dirty water among the junk piles, near a cooking station and a pile of skeletons.

The workshop workbench is located near two hollowed-out trailers on the western edge of the location. Both trailers contain some generic junk.

The center contains a cooking station and lots of skeletons in the nearby fireplace, a large water purifier that only requires power once the workshop is claimed, and plenty of resources to exploit, including three junk piles for a healthy source of various scrap that is mandatory for building other things.

Available resources include food (6), water (8), junk (3), aluminum (1), copper (1), and steel (1).

Notable loot

Aluminum, copper, junk, and steel deposits can be found near the claimable workshop here.

Appearances

The Charleston landfill appears only in Fallout 76.
