Background[]
One night, Colton Pickins was found by the local police standing on the roof of his shack, naked and yelling incoherently. Pickins was restrained by four deputies and was found to have a high blood alcohol level. After Pickins regained his senses, he testified to Deputy D.B. Walton that he last remembered taking out the trash behind Hillfolk Hotdogs before he saw the Flatwoods monster, which told him to follow it onto its spaceship. Pickins claimed that it experimented on him and was the reason for his intoxication. Walton did not believe Pickins and had him arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct and indecent exposure.[1]
