The following is based on test content from the Fallout: New Vegas files.

The Dummy Cell VES VEFR Encounters is a test cell in the game files of Fallout: New Vegas.

Layout

A simple hotel lobby with a hallway off to the side leading to some restrooms, and a back room which leads down to a vault door with Vault 3 labeled on it.

In addition, it is populated with various non-player characters, with a group of NCR characters in the main lobby (plus a single nightkin) and a group of Caesar's Legion characters in the back room. All of these characters will not move from their position.

Notes

• The non-player characters held in this cell are those used to spawn for various scripted encounters. These are, as follows:
  • The NCR Ranger who provides the NCR emergency radio, plus a naked dummy version of the same Ranger used for scripting purposes.
  • NCR Rangers and NCR troopers spawned as support via the NCR emergency radio.
  • NCR Ranger hit squads spawned for Don't Tread on the Bear!.
  • The nightkin rancher spawned at Brooks tumbleweed ranch during Wind-Brahmin Wrangler.
  • The disguised frumentarius spawned for Caesar's Favor and Caesar's Hire.
  • The legionary assassins spawned for Beware the Wrath of Caesar!.
• The clothed NCR Rangers and troopers are all hostile to the naked NCR Ranger.
• Approaching the nightkin will cause him to force conversation, but because he is not in the proper place for the scripts, he will only say a generic nightkin line.
• This cell has the same layout and appearance as 2EOCasLoHotelLobby01, 2EOCasHiHotelLobby01, and Dummy Cell for Scripted XMarkers. 2EOCasLoHotelLobby01 also has the same layout, but uses a different building kit.
  • The building kit used in this cell, 2EOCasHiHotelLobby01, and Dummy Cell for Scripted XMarkers (dungeons\NV_CasinoHi) does not appear anywhere outside of these test cells.
