This isn't in any way fallout related. But I think there's a few people around who could use it. I wrote it at the time I was begining to beat some deamons, and I think its one of the best things I've ever written.
Its called Flying Free, and if you need it, I hope it helps. Its supposed to sound Simon and Garfunkel-y but alas, I have no musical talent to put the music part down.
Deep within these prison walls
Footsteps echo through the halls
In a cellblock lives a man
who always seems to have a plan
never fixed upon the goal
so it was, his future stole
the present from beneith his nose
and its from this his darkness grows
his crime is long forgot to he
the road ahead is hard to see
its not a single point gone wrong
so he begins his lonely song
When freedom does return to me
I'll be flying hight for all to see

You'll soon regret you doubted me
when I'm running, Jumping, Climbing, Flying
Flying, Flying Free......................
For soon I will be flying free
Outside the world has gone to hell
within his heart, you cannot tell
despite the fact they go nowhere
all his hopes and dreams are there
untouched by his stalled career
no matter what, it is his year
his eyes are drawn up to the sky
fellow prisoners ask him why
commitment is his lofty goal
to take back, what future stole
if he can do this, if he can soar
who knows what else might be in store
My freedom will return to me
I'll be flying high for all to see

the clouds are just the place to be

yes soon, I will be flying free.
So he returns back to his cage
reading words of some rich sage
who managed to do what he must do
he needs no answer, just a clue
of how to make the dream appear
and how he should avoid the fear
of another dream that wizzes past
he wonders can he make it last?
A prison of the mind you see
Is a prison all the same to he
There is a difference, can he see?
He is the Jailer, he has the key.
