On the Same Wavelength

Hey SP, I thought I'd let you know that I removed your gallery addition to the on the same wavelength page and I thought I'd let you know why. I removed 'em as I figured having two images of magazines that, while rewards to that quest aren't very special otherwise was unnecessary. Richie9999 (talk) 19:11, June 21, 2013 (UTC)

On a roll

What can I say, sometimes I feel like a bulk edit. The audio project is a lot of effort, sometimes I just like to blast out a large amount of edits quickly. Can't do that with the project. :P
JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 02:19, June 24, 2013 (UTC)

Feel free to join in the audio project if you want, I'll talk you through it a bit tomorrow as it's late here and I'm off to bed. We need all the help we can get, so you're welcome to join in.
JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 02:36, June 24, 2013 (UTC)
You're going to need to extract the files. If you get a program called "Fallout Mod Manager" and open it (you'll be asked if you want to open Fallout 3 or New Vegas, either is fine. A prompt will pop up, clicking yes or no is fine, I usually say no.) then click on "tools" in the top bar and chose BSA browser. Click "open" and then chose "Voices 1". Wait for it all to load up in the window and then click "extract all".
Once it has extracted you can access the files all you want. You'll need a player that can work .ogg files (I use VLC player). The folders are organized by voice actor. The naming system is a little complex and difficult to grasp some of the time, but you should be able to figure it out for the most part.
There are other ways to access the files, using the GECK for example, but I don't know this system. If you'd rather use it (from what I've heard it's much easier to use anyway.
I don't know how to get to the Fallouts 1, 2 and tactics files myself, but if you asked Scarface I'm sure he;d be able to tell you.
Once you have the files, and find the ones matching the written quotes on the wiki you just need to uploaded them. Sometimes you may need to trim the file (if the quote is "hello there" and the audio says "hey. hello there" you'll need to cut off the "hey"). You can use most sound editing programs to do this, I use Audacity. You may also need to piece together a couple of files, if the on-wiki quote is longer than the audio file (if the on wiki quote says "hello there, courier. My name is Arcade" and the audio files are split in to two, one saying "hello there, courier" and the other saying "my name is Arcade", you'll just need to stick them in to one file) again, most sound editing programs can do this.
You'll also need to put them in to the correct categories, so add [[Category:<fallout game> audio dialogs]] to the summery when you upload.
When uploading to the wiki, make sure you stick to the naming convetion of "File:<game abbreviation><NPC name><few words from the quote>".ogg" for example; "File:NVArcadeGannonHelloThere.ogg" or "File:FNV Arcade Gannon Hello There.ogg".
When you add to a page you'll need to use two templates;
  • When the quote is at the top of the page uses [[File:<file name>.ogg|noicon|135px|center]] (for example [[File:NVArcadeGannonHelloThere.ogg|noicon|135px|center]]
  • When the file is in the notable quotes section you use {{Inline quote|<quote>|sound=<filename>.ogg}(for example <nowiki> {{Inline quote|Hello there, courier, my name is Arcaded|sound=NVArcadeGannonHelloThere.ogg}}
If my explanation was a bit confusing, you should be able to work it out for yourself by looking at previously done pages.
Once you've uploaded all quotes on a character's page, don't forget to tick it off on the project page tables (tick and sign the first two columns if you feel you have done them correctly, someone will fill in the last two).

Page Edits

I've noticed that many of your edits are grammatically incorrect, contain incorrect spelling, and sometimes contain unneeded/unnecessary information. Don't take this the wrong way; it's great whenever anyone adds info to articles, provided that it's correct; however, it isn't so great if the spelling, syntax, or grammar has to be changed so many times, like it is in your case. A few minutes on Google to check your grammar saves others from having to correct your edits. I know this sounds very dry, but I'm only trying to help, for your edits would be so much more helpful if they were grammatically correct more of the time. 69.125.134.190 03:47, June 27, 2013 (UTC)

Since you're not interested in my advise, I'm just going to revert your incorrect edits. If you want to put them back, put them back correctly. 69.125.134.190 06:15, June 27, 2013 (UTC)
I've been given a name already, and I've already earned respect. I apologize if I've upset you by correcting your edits; however, I wished only to improve the content of articles on this wiki. 69.125.134.190 06:50, June 27, 2013 (UTC)
To be fair, you've done a great job correcting a lot of the first-person in some articles. 69.125.134.190 06:52, June 27, 2013 (UTC)
Before I leave for the night, I again just want to apologize for offending you. And by the way, I'm not a stalker. I saw your edits begging reverted when I checked the recent wiki activity, and I looked into it. From there, I realized that some of your edits had problems, but like I said before, there were a lot of your edits that helped eliminate first-person in articles. And, if you were begging completely serious on my talk page, I do respect your immense efforts for edits. Obviously, I only looked at more recent ones because I saw that they were getting reverted, but it seems like you put a lot of effort into editing the pages, and that counts a lot. Lastly, I actually enjoy the "anonymity" because it removes any focus from myself and puts more onto the information I'm putting into this wiki because at the end of the day, the content and information is what matters which is why I even contacted you in the first place. 69.125.134.190 07:48, June 27, 2013 (UTC)

If he doesn't want to create an account he doesn't have to. Personally if would have left your comment on my talkpage but I can understand why he removed it because he read it as sort of an insult ("you do not care enough to be remembered", "you are just random code unworthy of the respect I have shown"). Featured articles

Hey SaintPain. The first step of our featured articles process is to assess the articles already in the rotation. The list can be found here. Please assess the articles in the rotation, based on the criteria here as well as any objective personal criteria. Please suggest additions/revisions to the criteria by posting in the section labelled "comments/suggestions" on the page. If you believe an article is in good standing and should qualify to be a featured article, please insert {{Yes}} ~~~ in the corresponding box in the third column. Users who are not the first to assess a particular article should use <br /> to allow a line break between assessments/signatures. Similarly, use {{No}} ~~~ to indicate disapproval of an article, and {{Neutral}} ~~~ if you cannot decide either way. There are 365 articles to review, so please take your time, but looking over a few each day should provide us with quick progress. --Skire (talk) 01:20, July 9, 2013 (UTC)

Of course. Assess as you see fit and to the best of your abilities. The criteria is just a guideline, but ultimately the question to be answered is, "Should this article qualify to be a featured article on Nukapedia?" --Skire (talk) 15:52, July 9, 2013 (UTC)
Perfect. That's exactly what we need to do. --Skire (talk) 17:44, July 9, 2013 (UTC)

Do You Mind

Can you try a little harder to be grammatically correct while editing? This isn't your best, and it's not fun cleaning up after you. 69.l25 (talk) 05:15, July 10, 2013 (UTC)

I'm cleaning up because I care about the content being put into articles. You can't just invent spellings of words and sprinkle in commas whenever you want. "Nore" and "reponce" for example are not words. 69.125.134.190 19:57, July 10, 2013 (UTC)
Saint, go easy on 69I25. He doesn't know of your (dyslexia) history and responds (in a friendly way) like for example I have done in the past. It seems that you consider him a new user and you have less tolerance for his remarks than mine. I understand these grammar remarks are getting to you by now, but it does require others to doublecheck and cause extra work, which we'd rather not do. Past few days I browsed your edits too, but I know you do your best so I tend to let it go. I expect you can see things from our side too. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 22:43, July 10, 2013 (UTC)
Just to clarify Saint... anon 69 did indeed create an account. He's no longer an anon. His account name just happens to comprise of numbers is all. ForGaroux Some Assembly Required! 23:23, July 10, 2013 (UTC)

( He's not an anonymous user anymore, he has made and account now. 69.125.134.190 is now known as 69.l25. That can be a bit confusing because this accountname is very similar to the anonymous account but it is a regular one. So he is a full fledged member now of our community, and a skilled one too. He's made a name for himself, most people know him and refer to him as the GeckAnon. He was just looking out for our content with that post he sent you. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 23:29, July 10, 2013 (UTC)

I again apologize for offending you. As you have never informed me, I was unaware that you have dyslexia, and I was unaware that I was angering you to this degree. I just want the content to be better from you. You've made a lot of edits, and you continue to flourish with effort, but this is easily overshadowed by grammatical mistakes. I hope you understand that it isn't personal. I don't hate you, nor do I think you're a terrible person.

As I've said before, my main focus is content, and I try my best to have correct content put into this wiki. When I saw many grammatical errors were attributed to you, I figured I'd maybe just try to get you to be a little more aware of your edits. Obviously, you didn't take this too well, and I'm very sorry that what I said has offended you.

I'm not the only guilty one here. You responded to the first message I sent you in "Page Edits" with some rather hurtful comments, so please understand that I am offended by you contacting the admins as though you were unjustly victimized.

In the end, I don't mean to bother you, and I'm very sorry that I've hurt you, but neither one of us is innocent. I won't contact you if you put in extra time to double check your edits. That's really the only solution. 69.125.134.190 02:16, July 11, 2013 (UTC)

Second person

Hey Sp. Just thought I'd drop you a note to let you know that second person in the Bugs section of articles is allowed as it allows for the content to be more easily understood and stuff. Richie9999 (talk) 01:22, July 11, 2013 (UTC)

I don't mean to raise a conflict, I simply wished to inform you that the policy regarding perspective included in it a section regarding notable exceptions which includes Bugs sections, In-game quotes/Developer commentary, and Transcripts. Which can be found here: Fallout Wiki:Editing guideline#Perspective. I get what you were saying about wanting to make the articles uniform and such but I thought I'd pass along this bit of info, if it weren't part of the policy I never would have brought it up. Richie9999 (talk) 02:32, July 11, 2013 (UTC)

Re:Featured articles

We don't have to improve articles so they meet the criteria. It is however encouraged if the article is only lacking or substandard in one simple area that can easily be fixed. Also, consider the very subject of an article and whether it would interesting for a featured article. We should have everyone vote on every page at the end. You're doing great work, keep it up! =) --Skire (talk) 14:28, July 11, 2013 (UTC)

Springvale Boss

I know I'm sounding kind of lawyer-ish, and I apologize; however the character is an in-game NPC that appears in Fallout 3. I did not just take the notes and make my own character. If you wish to withdraw your objections to the page, please let me know. I'm getting tired, so I don't really want to hang around my computer for too much longer, so I'm sorry if I'm acting too hastily. 69.125.134.190 04:03, July 14, 2013 (UTC)

I appreciate the response. I know I have offended you in the past, so it means something that you put that aside.

The character does appear in the game. It's not fluff, it's fact. The images I used are from the G.E.C.K.. The note has been covered, but the leader really has not. 69.125.134.190 04:28, July 14, 2013 (UTC)

You're arguing against facts. The character appears in-game. I'm not simply pulling everything from a note. 69.125.134.190 04:36, July 14, 2013 (UTC)

Just to add in here. Pain, there is an NPC with the GECK ID "SprinvaleElemBoss" that does spawn within the Springvale school. The boss is not just mentioned in the terminal. Here's an image for convenience. Paladin117>>iff bored; 04:52, July 14, 2013 (UTC) SpringvaleProof

SaintPain TinySaintPainJust here to help." 05:02, July 14, 2013 (UTC)

What justice? Please tell me. Your opinion deserves to be expressed so long as you recognize that this as an in-game NPC. The stats, daily schedule, and images, among other info, do not "already appear". 69.125.134.190 05:08, July 14, 2013 (UTC)

That doesn't solve anything. I do not have a free pass. You have the right to protest that article, but you also have the right to admit that you were wrong. Face it. It appears in game, has a unique ID and inventory, background information, and other unique attributes. There's no shame in apologizing. I'm sorry if you feel I've wasted time. Are you? 69.125.134.190 05:21, July 14, 2013 (UTC)

A: The character appears in-game. He or she is simply called "raider". This is a fact.

B: Even if it did not appear in game, it would be worth mention on a mentioned only character page such as Cheryl, Myles, Henry, Emmet, Kaya, and Boppo. All of these characters are already covered in note/quest pages but have their own page anyway. No, it would not just be a note. 69.l25 (talk) 15:28, July 14, 2013 (UTC)

GECK

Hey there Pain. I've noticed that you are having an issue with user 69.125.134.190 concerning a page that is valid in the GECK. I noticed your comments on the talk page of the article I assume this is about "GECK DLC is note worthy but no more than that" and "DAMN IT MAN.. The GECK DLC is NOT not NOT in the game" on his user page. I just want to explain to you what the G.E.C.K. is and is not. Yes you do download the G.E.C.K. separately from the game but it is not downloadable content (DLC). DLC's are in-game content. What the G.E.C.K. is is the toolkit that is used to view and edit the game engine for Fallout 3 and Fallout NV. Almost every bit of game mechanics is accessible in that toolkit. Mod makers use it. The developers made it first before the game and now we use it for the wiki. Now onto the next part of why I'm here. I understand that sometimes you may get frustrated (we all can) but the way you ended up saying things like "It would serve your reputation well to remove it your self." and then having the conversation further devolve into stuff like "I am not paid to be here. I will not let one individual ruin my play time. I am tired of this lawyer crap. Enjoy the Free Pass. I have nothing more to say. YOU win." when he or she did not say anything on your talk page that I could find that would upset you. All I ask for is for some tact. This person even though they are an anon is a good user and very active. Thanks Pain.--Kingclyde (talk) 09:51, July 14, 2013 (UTC)

Saint, this user is creating some good pages and adding content I haven't seen in months. He's showing good insight and even competing with me for good images (I haven't seen that since GhostAvatar and that has quite been a while). He's also active which is a commodity these days, good with the GECK as we all by now and is responding proper and kindly. We should all be pleased with such a user. I concur with Clyde's state of showing some tact in your responses to him. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:43, July 14, 2013 (UTC)

Player character

Don't just replace "you" with Lone Wanderer/Courier, put more time and thought reworking the sentence so it runs smooth. Two or three times player character in a sentence doesn't read well and actually makes the content worse in my opinion. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 19:49, July 14, 2013 (UTC)

Graham and God

It's quite obvious that Graham worships God (the Judeo-Christian deity) (he is quoted saying "We have made and kept covenants with our Lord, God, to honor his laws. In exchange, we are promised eternal salvation after this life."). Saying "the Judeo-Christian deity" is awkward pussy footing around the issue. It isn't religiously intolerant to say he worships God (in fact, if someone is so offended by the fact that a fictional character worships a different god than them, they have the problem, not us). To Joshua Graham, God is the one true Lord and Savior and that's all we need to convey to readers. This isn't an argument of religion; it's an argument of clarity. --Kastera (talk) 15:28, July 23, 2013 (UTC)

Katrina

That's stupidity at it's best right there. Why not allow the Armed Forces to keep peoples possessions from being stolen? I remember that it was a very bad problem. I'm sure the FEMA guys had truckloads of stolen keepsakes...bastards. FEMA fu@ked up big time with Katrina. I dearly hope they have learned from their mistakes, or someone else will have to pay for them. I remember one hot day where a helicopter circled over the house, and then landed in one of my family's fields. They had asked us if this was the church, but apparently they had been given the wrong coordinates. They stayed a little while, and even came back again a few days later and let us take a picture. A lot of my memories of Katrina were of the "I wish it had never happened" variety, but that was one of the interesting ones.Leea (talk) 17:18, July 24, 2013 (UTC)

I wasn't personally affected by FEMA's dumb ideas, but we would turn on the generator almost every night and see the stupidity of their ideas at work on the news. I still see it. On the news they still have every so often about flood insurance, and the (to my mind) ridiculous height that the people (by new FEMA law) on the beach have to put their houses on. 20 foot (sometimes higher) concrete pillars. Even a child would know that the ocean could just come up under that and lift the house away, yet FEMA acts as if it's the "best choice". Pffftt.Leea (talk) 17:45, July 24, 2013 (UTC)

I know a lot of people weren't prepared for that sort of thing (who would have thought it would have been that bad?), but me and my mom and dad had lots of food and barrels and barrels of water. In know that some people just don't know what to do about anything, so they will always need help from someone. Quite honestly, I've been fed so many theories about everything, that I don't think I'll ever be able to believe it if someone says "The worlds gonna end tomorrow!" I guess you could say that I'm jaded about the "worlds-gonna-end-at-this-day, time, etc." stuff. But I do have things on hand if a natural disaster happens(because they are going to happen), and I do have a hoarding problem with lip balm, so I suppose that if the world does "end" like all of the theories say it will, at least I won't have chapped lips =PLeea (talk) 18:34, July 24, 2013 (UTC)

(chuckles) I suppose I could do that if it ever came down to bare threads, but I sort of shudder to think of doing that! I don't think that the tinted stuff would work so well in that regard, or the stuff that has to be painted on...=DLeea (talk) 19:09, July 24, 2013 (UTC)

Mind if I ask a question? Are these recipes you're doing going to be separate from what TwoBears is collecting?Leea (talk) 12:32, July 27, 2013 (UTC)

Just curious. Your name is there with GarouxBloodline's on TwoBears' blog, so it sounded like a triple joint project.Leea (talk) 11:27, July 28, 2013 (UTC)

Would you mind if I made a small suggestion?Leea (talk) 11:59, July 28, 2013 (UTC)

It's about the deathclaw drop soup. I may be wrong, but yeast might not be the best ingredient for soup. That's why bread recipes with yeast in the ingredients rise; it's the yeast. If you're looking for a creamy texture for the soup, flour or Brahmin milk would be better.Leea (talk) 12:40, July 28, 2013 (UTC)

You strike me as one of those people who go to the International foods stores and come out with cartloads of stuff. It's not like I've never done it myself...I have...It's too cool to find things that don't appear at one's regular supermarket. Heh heh.Leea (talk) 13:45, July 28, 2013 (UTC)

I have posted on your blog.Leea (talk) 16:15, July 28, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for the help

I just wanted to say thanks. If I have any questions, I'll be sure to point them your way. I look forward to adding to the community and gaining knowledge. Also, on a side note, Major Tom with a deathclaw head was a nice touch. :P MountHail (talk) 09:50, July 28, 2013 (UTC)

You're 49? That ain't old. Not by my standards of "old", anyway. =PLeea (talk) 11:41, July 29, 2013 (UTC)

40s is certainly not old. Nor 50s. 60s aren't really that old, either. Most of the people I've known in my lifetime so far are/were these ages.

  • What has happened that you would have disagreed with me at some other time? Or is that none of my business, and I deserve a slap to the face instead? =S

Leea (talk) 12:22, July 29, 2013 (UTC)

70s is getting old. But then again, I have a friend in England that is...I think he's 71...but he's so hyper, and when he's happy or excited you can practically see him jumping up and down. 80s and 90s is old.

  • I've never been to college. I know, I know, what am I thinking, I'm 23 and I should have, right? If you go to college, what sort of course would you take?Leea (talk) 13:03, July 29, 2013 (UTC)

That isn't too bad

Hey, I have my days were I'm typing and my fingers just hover over the keys while I'm thinking "How the hell do you spell that? It's so easy to say! How do you spell it!?"

  • Really? You do art? What kind? I like to bead. Usually necklaces and such. When I'm in town, people sometimes come up to me and ask where I got my jewelry, and I get to have the (small) pride and say "I made it."Leea (talk) 17:37, July 29, 2013 (UTC)

You have quite the artists' portfolio! I have done/still do most of what you have mentioned, except for the metal etching and clay modeling. Have you ever done mosaics or stained glass? Both are pretty easy to do, but with the mosaics, one has to watch out for sharp edges on the pottery or glass. Do you make pottery, or just artistic shapes?

  • I had thought about selling my jewelry, and there happens to be an antique shop and consignment store in town, if I ever do make up my mind. I suppose the real problem would be how to accurately price them so they would sell, but at the same time make enough money to beat the booth rental price.
  • Have you ever sold any of your works?Leea (talk) 11:25, July 30, 2013 (UTC)

(chuckles) Of course it does. I did something similar, when I went to the community school 10 years ago. My dad also helped remodel, so I got to take art and language classes there for free.

  • Are you a black belt, or is it more of a hobby? Leea (talk) 12:06, July 30, 2013 (UTC)

I was but in good faith I can no longer claim that rank as I have not seriously practiced in years and so my level of fitness has likewise been victimized by age and limitations brought on by service related injuries.

Once upon a time I studied Tae Kwon Do, Shaolin Kempo and multiple weapons styles of booth east and western cultures but sadly that was a long time ago.

My dad has something he calls "Katrina shoulder"; he spent so much time with the chainsaw cleaning up the fallen trees, that his right shoulder hurts all the time. Though I'm sure I'm making an unfair compairision.Leea (talk) 12:41, July 30, 2013 (UTC)

I hope you caught him. It would have been (more) miserable to not have.

  • It's interesting how that seems to work. In a totally unrelated-to-storm-injuries incedent, I remember a few years back that I was walking through a field for some time, just enjoying the Fall weather. After a while I looked down (I don't remember why I did) and saw that my big toenail was half torn off. I was wearing sandals, so it must have gotten caught on a stump of a shrub. But as soon as I discovered it; boom! It hurt like crazy! It seems when someone is focused on something, pain doesn't get figured in until afterwards.Leea (talk) 13:09, July 30, 2013 (UTC)

Did you get any of the leader's members? The gang members, I mean..

  • I suppose one of the worst things after Katrina was the heat! Mississippi usually doesn't have that type of dry, baking heat on the menu for summer. I definately learned not to wear long pants in the summer after that...but here it is again! I'm being inconsiderate! You wore full military gear! What a fool I am...Leea (talk) 16:07, July 30, 2013 (UTC)

Duty uniform? What's that? Just pants and shirt? That would be better than the stuff I've seen guys in the military on newsreels wear. But no doubt you've worn that type of stuff too.Leea (talk) 17:32, July 30, 2013 (UTC)

That sounds like torture

I had read a (would you call it a memoir?)book by...what was his name..Paul Rieckhoff, who was a Leiutenant in the Iraq war when it was still "new". He said that being in Iraq with full gear was like (paraphrasing here) "Wearing a wool uniform and strapping 100 pounds of rocks on both sides of your body and then running up and down mountains." and being in forts was like (more paraphrasing) "Putting on a black football uniform, getting into a black car with tinted windows on a parking lot on a 100 degree day and turning on the heater."Leea (talk) 18:33, July 30, 2013 (UTC) I can also see that over time the "pattern" of camo suits has gotten more of a, like, "digitalized" look.Leea (talk) 18:39, July 30, 2013 (UTC)

The color black is supposed to get hotter faster than the other colors...or maybe that's just what it feels like...am I talking to you too much? I don't want to scare you away.Leea (talk) 19:15, July 30, 2013 (UTC)

Whew

Whew

(Wipes forehead) I was worried. I was thinking "Damn. You went and talked him away."

  • In totally unrelated thoughts, I got so totally sick of the "new age" music that mom wanted me to listen to, that I put in a CD of Mozart that I got quite by chance in the mail(I thought it was junk mail, certainly shows you to open up all mail) and downloaded the files into the computer... It's beautiful. Especially the two with choirs. But then again, you might like "new age" music, and I'll be treading on thin ice...Leea (talk) 20:08, July 30, 2013 (UTC)

Damn! I've created a double headline! Oh well...Leea (talk) 20:10, July 30, 2013 (UTC)

Sorry for the delay. It had rained, and I was taking pictures of flowers with water droplets on their petals. They are pretty anyway, but water on flowers is just too pretty. Anyway...

  • Heh heh heh. You and I share a common taste in music. Every so often, one of my neighbors (next door, too) plays what I like to call "New York coffee shop jazz", and it drives me crazy. I also can't stand "Bee-Bop", where there is no tune, they just say what would have been the tunes and instruments. There is one of the "songs" in one of my games, and it drives me up the wall and through the roof. Big-band, rock, jazz and classical music is a strange combination, but hey, thats me!Leea (talk) 22:09, July 30, 2013 (UTC)

Said neighbor also like to play drums. Sometimes he goes way into the night and then some. Same beat, too. All the time! Never any different beats! But, very lucky, this neighbor has a trucking job. He drives a semi, so he's gone for long periods of time. Whew! Though his sons (they're basically the same age as me) and friends like to "peel" out of their driveways and then some. I guess they like the sound of gravel flying and that certain sound of rubber grating at high speed on pavement. Whatever it is, I don't like the sound. I got to taste sweet revenge one day, though! I was sitting in the yard, and one of them peeled out of their driveway, when there was a thumping sound. His tire went flat! I guess he burnt too much rubber on the road. Hehehe...=DLeea (talk) 11:35, July 31, 2013 (UTC)

We have not been next door neighbors for very long. I barely knew him and his family, but then two years ago, he moves like..right across the street. I guess he figured that we would be the type of neighbors "that would come over to borrow a cup of sugar" thing, but he's been the most bossy person I have ever met. When he first moved in, he kept telling us our mailbox was in the way of his driveway, because he had a plan to park his semi there...but our mailbox wasn't even close to his driveway...we moved it so many times, yet he always said the same thing. Finally the mailbox just ended up all the way at the other side of the yard. I had plenty of "fantasies" of putting sharp pinecones in his mailbox...but never went through with it, as no doubt he would have found out who did it. I guess if there is enough good in a neighbor (like yours) you can try to overlook their other annoying habbits, but if the neighbor is like mine, I suppose that only thing to do is just to ignore him to the best of one's abilities.Leea (talk) 13:35, July 31, 2013 (UTC)

I know. It seems like I'm surrounded by jerks, so sometimes I listen to rock songs really loud (via headphones) to cope, or if dad's planning on doing some target practice in the back yard, I imagine the neighbor's face there on the target and fill it with lead. Or load up Fallout 3 at the end of the day and slice and dice the raiders....Oh no! What am I doing...I am loading my troubles on you...that should not have happened...facepalm facepalm facepalm!Leea (talk) 17:27, July 31, 2013 (UTC)

I see this file has a cursor on it. I assume you were to add it to an article, so could you make it without the cursor? Energy X 14:45, July 31, 2013 (UTC)

Better late than never

Kimber Sapphire Ultra II
You have been given Kimber Sapphire.
Your efforts and diligence have not gone unnoticed, and you have been given a small token of appreciation.
Better late than never. Happy (very) belated birthday! Leea (talk) 17:42, July 31, 2013 (UTC)

I wish I knew how to change the picture, otherwise I'd give you something else than just a Cola..=PLeea (talk) 17:42, July 31, 2013 (UTC)

J gave me a few pointers. I hope it worked out. I gave you a picture of a gun I always wanted. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it...but the price tag was waaay to high for me...so I settled for a picture of it =PLeea (talk) 19:45, July 31, 2013 (UTC)

Of course not. The gun is a Kimber Sapphire Ultra II 9mm sub-compact 1911. It was in a gun store on the coast about a year ago, called "Dad's super pawn". Though they sell lots of new guns too. I just fell in love with the absolutely beautiful color scheme. The grip was also a shimmer-y blue that changed blue and black colors, depending what angle it was looked at. The blue details on the gun just shined, and there was lovely laser engraving on the slide. The picture doesn't really do the gun justice, but I didn't have the 2,995 dollars to buy it, so a picture was what I'd have to settle for.

  • I wrote you an apology for unloading my "neighbor troubles" on you, it ended up above Energy's note.Leea (talk) 11:19, August 1, 2013 (UTC)

Thank you

Thank you. And I love Art Deco, too... =)

  • The gun is certainly a thing of beauty. But if I did ever find one again, and did have the cash, it would end up staying in the case all the time, because I would be scared I might scratch the finish! =PLeea (talk) 22:20, August 1, 2013 (UTC)

Hehehe. Hopefully my birthday will come first, as a zombie apocalypse right now would be kinda fast, don't you think? Reminds me of a shirt I saw for sale: "I laugh at your claims to bravely stand a zombie apocalypse when most of you can't stand up to a spider." Lucky I've never been afraid of them! Heh heh...

  • I think my Xbox broke last night. I wish mom had told me there were dark clouds coming, or I would have turned it off and saved the trouble! Before I knew it, I heard thunder and there was a brown-out and it gave me the "Red ring of death". And the warranty ran out two years ago.. There is a place that fixes consoles in Texas, so I have to contact them. But if they end up being a "sham" and I never get my Xbox back, I guess I have no other choice than to buy a new one at WalMart. (sigh..) I really would have been in a jam if the brown-out had burnt out the computer, as I only have about a month left till I get the "edit every day for a year" badge!Leea (talk) 11:21, August 2, 2013 (UTC)Edit: I turned it on later this morning, and it appears to still work...for now, at least. If I was connected to power, and was programed to turn back on if the power goes out (like a console), and 10 brown-outs happened in a 30 second time frame, I would probably feel unwell, too.
  • I minced some skullcap today. And no, I'm not talking about the top of someone's head! =P It's an herb that promotes relaxation, or if one has trouble falling asleep.Leea (talk) 16:01, August 2, 2013 (UTC)

Question

Didn't you read my last note? I had said that I had turned it on later this morning and it worked. So far.

  • Out of curiosity, what was the first thing you thought when I said I was a vegetarian? People usually don't react well when I tell them (for some reason), so your minimal reaction was a surprise.Leea (talk) 19:42, August 2, 2013 (UTC)

Heh heh. Whatever way you want to look at it, it's fine with me. You find anymore inspiration for your recipe blog?Leea (talk) 20:11, August 2, 2013 (UTC)

Well, if I remember correctly, you were asking about sugar or sugar syrup on TwoBears' blog. And since me and my dad make syrup every fall, I though I could give you some ideas if you would like.Leea (talk) 21:57, August 2, 2013 (UTC)

Sure thing. I've read that Native Americans living in the area of Nevada used to make a sugar-y substance from the honey mesquite pods. Apparently they could be eaten fresh or dried, and when they were dried they were often ground to a powder and added to breads to make them sweeter. The resinous gum from the tree is also high in sugar. It could be eaten in a "raw" state, but it became sweeter when it was boiled to a syrup. Since the pods are also supposed to be a "lemon-y" flavor, I suppose that they could be used as a post-apocalyptic Lemon-flavoring, too.Leea (talk) 11:28, August 3, 2013 (UTC)

You mean like SPECIAL attributes? I suppose the lemon flavor would have an effect on the player character's breath, and a +1 Charisma because of it...

  • I have some info about yucca, maize, cacti and "coffee substitutes", too, if you want to hear them.Leea (talk) 17:19, August 3, 2013 (UTC)

You mean post them in the comments?Leea (talk) 18:55, August 3, 2013 (UTC)

Done

It is done. Is it up to specs?Leea (talk) 19:38, August 3, 2013 (UTC)

Forgot to add about agave syrup. I see it in stores. There must be a way they get it out of the plant, like the leaves or something. Maybe they get it from the juice of the leaves and boil it down? It could also be used as a sugar replacement, along with the honey mesquite. I remember now that the Indians also beat the ripe mesquite pods into a pulp, then let it ferment until it was a sweet beer. The mesquite flowers themselves were also eaten, because they were sweet too. It's a sugar tree! =PLeea (talk) 22:08, August 3, 2013 (UTC)

Idea

Of course we are. You have not seen that I put your present on my page? =) Tomorrow (Sunday) is Friendship Day, I'll see if I can make you a witty present. =D I'll try to write to the best of my ability about something I know little about (the agave syrup) on the blog. I also had an idea for a "consumable" item: yucca roots. They're not edible to my knowledge, but when crushed they produce a soapy substance. When used, a notice would come up on the screen: "You have just washed with yucca roots. You are now cleaner and more presentable." and there would be a +3 Charisma boost. =P It certainly would get dirty in the wasteland, would it not?Leea (talk) 22:50, August 3, 2013 (UTC)

What respectable restaurant would not like clean customers ~BD That is excellent. I am sure Bloodline will give that a notable mention. Needs a time limit though.. What maybe 8 hours ? It is a hot dirty hell hole.

Friendship Day? Is that every Sunday?

  • I Once had a friend we talked to on Sunday but we had a difference of opinion some time back. Life, it is a bitch.

SaintPain TinySaintPainJust here to help." 23:06, August 3, 2013 (UTC)

The best in-game time limit for the effects would probably be 6-8 hours. Then if you wanted the Charisma boost again, you'd have to take another bath, maybe even for another boost chew on some honey mesquite for the breath freshener. =D

  • Friendship Day is not every Sunday, it's a yearly thing, like Labor Day or Christmas.

I have had so many fake friends that used me for what they wanted, then tossed me away, it's not even funny. Or they tried to mold me into their own image.Leea (talk) 12:27, August 4, 2013 (UTC)

A gift

Here is your gift, as promised:

FO3 Dock
You have been given a harbor.
Your efforts and diligence have not gone unnoticed, and you have been given a small token of appreciation.
Because true friends are a safe harbor in the waters of life. Leea (talk) 12:36, August 4, 2013 (UTC)

I hope you get the meaning behind it. You can, if you want, call me by my true name; Kishori. If you still want to call me Leea, that is OK, too. =) Leea (talk) 12:36, August 4, 2013 (UTC)

No. I'm white with bloodlines of German and Norwegian and a little Swede. Mom was reading literature from India, and she picked my name that way.Leea (talk) 20:01, August 4, 2013 (UTC)

You're making me feel bad...You uploaded a special picture, and all I did was use a picture of a harbor from the Fallout 3 World Objects page!...though I did write the metaphor...does that count in not making me a cheap bastard? =P Leea (talk) 20:22, August 4, 2013 (UTC)

Ugh. I knew I was being a cheap bastard...You don't think any less of me, do you? I hope not..

  • I was playing Fallout 3 this afternoon, and my armor was almost broken, so I took it off and ran back to town to buy a repair item. It made me think about how the player can run around in the wasteland in their underwear and not have any penalties. That's something I'd like to see in Fallout 4: a penalty for not wearing clothes. Maybe text will appear onscreen: "Oh no! You are not wearing any clothes!" and there would be like a +2 Agility bonus, but no one would talk to you, you might even end up in a jail. What do you think?Leea (talk) 20:42, August 4, 2013 (UTC)

Heh heh. I do play female characters most of the time (duh), but some times I play a male character, like with this playthrough. Have you ever done that? A different gender character?Leea (talk) 21:09, August 4, 2013 (UTC)

Characters

Does that mean you have blond hair?

I had tried to model my character this time after one of my favorite video characters; Point Man from F.E.A.R. 3. It mostly worked out, I even tagged skills I though he would use in the wasteland, but the player in Fallout 3 has conversations with people and yells when they're hurt, and, well, Point Man says nothing. Either he's got absolutely nothing to say, or he is a mute. So I've got a character that looks like Point Man but yells when he's being shot at...oh well..Leea (talk) 21:46, August 4, 2013 (UTC)

You even have the same haircut as your character...I was expecting the "sarge" haircut, due to you being in the military.

F.E.A.R. does not equal Resident Evil. There are no zombies in the F.E.A.R. games, only some (very powerful) ghosts. You don't get to create a character, you play out the story of Point Man (mostly) and his journey for truth in the games. He's the main protagonist, and appears as such in three of the games (there were two spin-offs and three canon games).Leea (talk) 22:17, August 4, 2013 (UTC)

Maybe you'd like F.E.A.R.... If you like...what's the name of that drug...the one in New Vegas where you slow down time, and the implant for it too. In the F.E.A.R. games, it's (except for F.E.A.R. 2, in the beginning, I'm told) a part of the character, so there's no wearing off of the drug or paying for an implant. In F.E.A.R. 2 and F.E.A.R. 3 you even get to commandeer what's called Power Armor. I can tell you it's nothing like the power armor in the Fallout series. It's more like a giant robot you get to hop inside of and control. And totally destroy everything in your path! Hehehe. Leea (talk) 11:29, August 5, 2013 (UTC)

No. In F.E.A.R. (first game), everything about where you came (and who you really are) from is shrouded in mystery, and you get backstory of your mission throughout the game with scattered around voicemails and laptops. Only in the end does one figure out what's happened.Leea (talk) 12:20, August 5, 2013 (UTC)

Have you ever played...

Have you ever played the game Bioshock?Leea (talk) 13:07, August 5, 2013 (UTC)

Then you are missing out. There is no real character customization, but you do get to pick and choose what combat abilities you will use. I just loved the architecture, music and feel of the place. The sequel, Bioshock 2, is just as good.

When is this cooking blog coming out?Leea (talk) 11:18, August 6, 2013 (UTC)

Where do you live? You have used "y'all" a few times, which is generally a term used in southern states, so either you're in a southern state, or you picked it up here.

If you ever want me to quit talking, just say something, and I'll do my best. I suppose the real problem is no one in my neighborhood wants to talk to me, so I could get overzealous.Leea (talk) 17:30, August 6, 2013 (UTC)

(chuckle) There is nothing wrong with that. You can use any USA-regional terms you like.

It is the neighbors' loss. It was them not me, although for years I didn't believe that. The girls round here wanted to shape me into their own image, I went along with it at first, because I didn't want to be by myself. But their image was romantic comedies, major makeup, and boys I didn't care for. They used to be tomboys like me, but as they got older, they wanted to go out on dates when I still liked playing video games and Cops and Robbers. Eventually they dumped me for the fickle reasons of me not knowing what movies they were talking about, or just plain ditched me at parties, or played cruel jokes on me. One even said over the phone (I overheard the conversation on another line) that I was "... always in the way. Why does she always have to be in the way? We can never do anything because of her." At the time I was blown away, but now I would probably yell "I'm right here b!tch!" After they dumped me, I went through a "mourning period", but in retrospect, they did not deserve that. Surprisingly, a few years ago they all just moved away. At least I don't have to see them anymore. So today, I am not what they wanted me to be, just myself, Horror movies, video games, target practice and strange combination of music be damned!Leea (talk) 18:13, August 6, 2013 (UTC)

Input

I have done as you asked. They are guesses at best, because I have never played New Vegas, or hardcore.

Thank you for listening to me. If you ever have a bad day, you can talk to me and I'll see if I can make you feel better. =) Leea (talk) 21:38, August 6, 2013 (UTC)

It's the least I can do. You listened while I talked about "The neighbors from Hell", so it would only be proper and fitting if I would be able to try to listen to any troubles you may be having. =) Leea (talk) 11:52, August 7, 2013 (UTC)

I was wondering, should I put the additional info about the mesquite that I wrote about on your talk page onto your blog?Leea (talk) 17:18, August 7, 2013 (UTC)

B) <-- Does that mean sunglasses? You use it quite often, and though I do know most "icons", I 'm afraid I don't know that one.Leea (talk) 11:39, August 8, 2013 (UTC)

Bookends

They look pretty nice - as usual. Where would I put them, though? Hmm.

Funny story

I had taken a nap this morning (soo tired), and when I woke up, there was something in my eye. No matter how much I rubbed it, it just wouldn't come out, so I went to the mirror and rubbed my eye till whatever it was was at the corner and got it out. I looked at it and...and... it was a cat hair! I had a cat hair in my eye. All my cats live outside, so how did it get in my bed, or more to the point, in my eye? It's one of those things that may be disgusting at the time, but you can laugh at them latter..hahahaLeea (talk) 22:32, August 8, 2013 (UTC)

I have three cats. They are all from the same litter; a brother and two sisters. They were born early last year. Their mom was alot like the cat you know, except (remember the friend I mentioned who's from England?) my friend was here...he's more like dad's friend...but anyways..he was here and..it's some miracle what a 70 year old man who likes cats and a gallon of milk can do. She went from being much like your cat to being a cat you could walk up to and pet. She had her kittens, stayed around for a while, then just disappeared. I still don't know where she went. Maybe someday the cat at your place will allow you to pet her. =) Leea (talk) 11:25, August 9, 2013 (UTC)

I suppose that's true. Having any animal around (even a squirrel in the backyard) can squelch loneliness, even if it's a cat who only shows up for grub. Assuming you live alone, of course.Leea (talk) 17:53, August 9, 2013 (UTC)

Helping others

If you think that makes you sound pathetic (not that you are), then I am worse. I've captured crickets and such and put them in a jar and kept them around when I was younger, because we didn't have any pets at the time.

I feed out the leftovers to the neighborhood cats. A next door neighbor (not the a$$hole) has kids in Picayune that drop off a new cat at her place every so often. She can't really feed them all, so they (the cats) share the food plate with our cats.Leea (talk) 19:13, August 9, 2013 (UTC)

Heh heh. Though I do know that my cats like me...sometimes I can hear them talking in through the door when they want me to come outside. Although there is a difference between Love and Worship. I was in a store some time back and there was some books on sale. One of them caught my eye, and it was about yoga you could perform on your dog. I though "Seriously? People actually do this junk? The dogs wouldn't need the yoga if they would let them run and play in a yard!"Leea (talk) 20:46, August 9, 2013 (UTC)

Talon Company Merc

The image you posted in the article shows the merc affected by the pale face bug. I just checked his model to make sure, and his face should be way darker. If you want, I can tell you how to fix the pale face bug so you can get another image yourself, or I can just get one by myself. What do you want to do? 69.125.134.190 19:22, August 9, 2013 (UTC)

The new image is great! The pale face bug affects a wide variety of NPCs though, almost all of the Talon Company Mercs, so I don't think it should be noted on the Sat Com page, as it's not specific to that location. 69.125.134.190 20:03, August 9, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, I agree. We should keep the new one. 69.125.134.190 20:12, August 9, 2013 (UTC)

APC

I had a dream last night that I was driving an APC. Except instead of having wheels, it had six short robotic legs. It also had a cannon mounted on the roof. That thing was fun to drive! Have you ever driven one of those?Leea (talk) 16:58, August 10, 2013 (UTC)

The one in the dream also had a helmet that I put on to drive it. I didn't do anything with a control panel, the APC was driven by thought. They actually do have a type of the technology, there are headsets that one can buy for your computer and play computer games that way, by thoughts. The headset actually maps out the electrical pulses the brain puts out and translates it into movement on the screen. Although they do come with a hefty price.Leea (talk) 19:04, August 10, 2013 (UTC) You said being in an APC was like being in a combination "Oven and paint mixer". Am I to take it that you were jostled around inside? You said it so perfectly that there was a little movie playing in my head, I couldn't help but laugh. Though I'm sure the ones nowadays have air-conditioning.Leea (talk) 22:24, August 10, 2013 (UTC)

Sounds as if it was built without shocks.

Have you ever piloted a helicopter, or is that Air Force only?Leea (talk) 11:21, August 11, 2013 (UTC)

Hmmm. I'm afraid I don't quite know what being a Paratrooper means, other than that one jumps from a helicopter or plane and there are parachutes involved (duh! If someone jumps from an airborne plane or chopper, they better have one!). The closest I've ever been to a Army helicopter was the one I told you about, after Katrina. And I see those huge grey Army planes fly over my house..what..maybe every other week? The kind of plane I think they use to transport tanks and such. But why they fly up from the coast and over my house back back to the coast again is beyond me.Leea (talk) 18:10, August 11, 2013 (UTC)

There is Keesler Air Force base. I think it's in Gulfport, thought I'm not quite sure. Actually, Keesler has it's own credit union, and there is a branch in Picayune, the nearest town. As soon as the planes fly overhead, they make a big turn and fly back. And there's the SeaBee base on the coast. It's got lots of big buildings and equipment outside the buildings. Sometimes, when we drive by it, me and my dad ask each other "I wonder what's in them buildings?" Heh heh.. There's also Camp Shelby. It's supposedly the largest training camp in the US. Mississippi is (if I remember correctly) supposed to have the most bases of all the states. I wonder why?Leea (talk) 19:53, August 11, 2013 (UTC)

I forgot about the National Guard. They have a small base in Picayune.

Mom was reading an email flyer from a sports catalog we order from, and they had a "sale" on .22LR ammo. at 50 rounds for the "low low" price of..$9.97. They think that's cheap? We bought some boxes of the same ammo at Picayune for 5 bucks a box, and a sporting store in Gulfport for 2 dollars! Ammunition prices have just gone through the roof, not to mention if you can even get the stuff. Can barely go target shooting anymore, and I love to target practice... =( Do you shoot for fun?Leea (talk) 11:26, August 12, 2013 (UTC)

What calibers have you shot? I shot 12, 20 and .410 shotshells, .22 Magnum, LR and shorts, .223, .25 auto, .32 H&R Magnum and .32 S&W Long, .38 special and .357 magnum, 9mm and 7.62x39. I'm still trying to get dad to let me shoot a 30-06.Leea (talk) 18:13, August 12, 2013 (UTC)

Gun nut

Never shot one of those. The casing of the .50BMG round itself is long, can't imagine how much powder is in there, assuming you are talking about that round in particular. Did shoot a 12 gauge 3 inch magnum though. Without a recoil pad. Dumb idea! I figured that I might not as well be scared of the recoil...but it felt as if a muscle man had hit my right shoulder with a baseball bat. I could barely stand upright for a few minutes. It was loud too. Can't imagine what it would have been without the earplugs! =D Leea (talk) 11:32, August 13, 2013 (UTC)

Heh heh heh. I had something like that happen a couple years ago. There was this dead tree, about 3 and 1/2 inches thick, that me and dad propped the cardboard target up against. I was shooting .357 magnums at the target, and after three shots, there was a cracking sound, and I got out of the way just as the tree fell over! I had cut down a tree with bullets...that was cool. I've also blown off 1/2 inch tree limbs with .22LR shots. Hahaha...=D Leea (talk) 12:52, August 13, 2013 (UTC)

I probably would, if I could afford the bullets...and the gun. I saw one for sale awhile back at a gun store for $10,000. Unfortunately, I don't have that kind of change just hanging around in my pocket! =P Shooting at rotten old oak trees with 20 gauge shells is fun, too. The wood chunks spray out everywhere! Hahaha. Have you ever tried out those "exploding" targets?Leea (talk) 18:10, August 13, 2013 (UTC)

Never shot at water. Maybe I'll do that someday. What do you think about guns that have pink and purple stocks or highlights on them?Leea (talk) 21:57, August 13, 2013 (UTC)

Huh? What was that supposed to mean? Nevermind, I don't wanna know the answer...=P

  • I (personally) can't stand pink or purple guns. That goes for shooting supplies, too. I know they they are "meant" for women who like to shoot, but honestly, I just can't stand a girly gun. Or girly shooting stuff. Gimme a black gun or plain wood stock and I'll be a happy lady. Heh, I remember looking at a counter full of handguns with my dad, and one of the guns had a pink pearlized grip. I had said "Ew, gross. Pink gun.", and a guy next to me laughed. I guess it was unexpected. Leea (talk) 11:14, August 14, 2013 (UTC)

You wanna elaborate on that comment, mon? =P Leea (talk) 20:18, August 14, 2013 (UTC)

I think the proper term would be "tomboy". =D But I do love patterns, colors and dresses...just don't put those colors on my gun...

  • I went shooting this afternoon with dad in an attempt to scare off the deer, as they are starting to come further and further into the yard. I also got hit by some sort of ricochet. Either it was a piece of wood or a piece of lead shot. It stung for a short while, but the skin wasn't broken. Note to self: don't shoot at lighterpine anymore, your shots may come back to get you! Was still fun anyways...=D Leea (talk) 22:45, August 14, 2013 (UTC)

I am happy to hear you are uninjured. Fragmentation is a bitch. I have never been shot but bullets have came so close to my head the medic later had to pull tiny bits of cinder block out of my face. I was lucky not to loose an eye and even more so that it was a humid climate so I healed quick enough to leave no scar. Oddly though my right cheek some times itches as if to remind me how I dodged a bullet ~;p

SaintPain TinySaintPainJust here to help."

It was 7 1/2 shot.

  • I have been shot at before, though, when I was younger. It was the neighborhood bully, he was up in a "friend's" treehouse, and he was shooting BBs at me. They stung, and I remember hearing them ricochet of the tree limbs. I went and told said friend, but she didn't want to do anything about it, 'cause he was her friend. That, as you can imagine, made me (with full sarcasm) feel great! So I went and told her parents. It was at this point that I started to be called a "tattle-tale". What's wrong with telling the "authorities" (parents) that someone was shooting at me, or that they broke the law (vandalism, parent's rules, etc.)? I didn't care. If it felt wrong, I told the parents about it. I see nothing wrong with that.Leea (talk) 11:50, August 15, 2013 (UTC)

He was a bully. I remember walking around with a "friend" during a community gathering long time ago, and said bully started throwing large, fist sized rocks at us. I had tried to block her from the onslaught, when finally an adult came over to see what was going on. The bully said that I had done something to him (I don't remember what he accused me of), and threw rocks at him. The person belived the bully, and my "friend" did nothing to back my story up. I was the one who got in trouble, even though I had done nothing. Imagine what kind of damage a fist-sized rock could do!Leea (talk) 13:04, August 15, 2013 (UTC)

Ugh. I've talked too much about my painful past. Lets talk about something else!

  • I can't believe how much a 410 shotgun kicks. In my opinion, it kicks even more than a 20 gauge. Actually, I remember reading that the pressure when firing a 410 shotshell is 13,000 psi, whilst a 12 gauge 3 inch magnum is only 12,000. Why so much? The 410 is a much smaller round than 12 gauge!Leea (talk) 11:17, August 16, 2013 (UTC)

Dad says it "really kicks" too. Maybe because it's got a shorter barrel than usual. It also could "really kick" because it is one of the few rifle/shotguns we have that doesn't have a rubbery recoil pad. It seems to kick more than a "combat" (no stock) 410 that we have. Though with the "combat" type of shotgun, there is no "real" aiming: you can't aim down the sights. Well, you could try to aim down the sights of a hip-shot-shotgun, I did a couple years ago, and you'll get the back of the gun to the face. It was about a foot away from my face, and it hit me in the front teeth. It nicked my lip, but that was it. Won't do that again...Leea (talk) 19:12, August 16, 2013 (UTC)

Have you ever used grenades?Leea (talk) 19:34, August 16, 2013 (UTC)

Hahahaha....I laughed at your description of grenades. It probably would be a "WHOOO!!" moment. =) Something tells me you like the grenade machinegun in New Vegas. =D The only "explosives" I've been around are firecrackers. =D Leea (talk) 20:01, August 16, 2013 (UTC)

I can see that you really loved it, because why else would you count how many you've fired off? =D The ones in-game are fun, I can only imagine what the real ones are like. Were all the grenades you shot just practice, or were you shooting at something/someone in particular?Leea (talk) 21:56, August 16, 2013 (UTC)

  • Have you used any other explosive weaponry other than grenades?Leea (talk) 11:37, August 17, 2013 (UTC)

Is that Anti-tank weapon shoulder or vehicle mounted? Something tells me that the recoil of a real-life missile launcher would be more than it is in-game. I remember being in a gun shop, and they had deactivated missiles on sale. One of them was about a foot or so long. I picked it up, and the clerk (as a joke) told me "We have a gun that fires that." =)Leea (talk) 17:23, August 17, 2013 (UTC)

Have you ever fired grenades and/or missiles at an enemy in your missions?Leea (talk) 17:49, August 17, 2013 (UTC)

What is it exactly that the Military Police does? I wouldn't think that the Army would need police.Leea (talk) 18:16, August 17, 2013 (UTC)

What's "mechanized" infantry? Light tanks? I don't think that we have access to Power Armor yet....Leea (talk) 11:36, August 18, 2013 (UTC)

New Topic

Oh, OK. I was unaware that that sort of dialog may have been uncomfortable for you. I'm sorry.

  • It's been beautiful weather for the past couple of days. A cold front came through, and instead of 95 degrees, it is a supreme 70-75 degrees. Practically unheard of in the summer! And breezy too. I love breezy days. And it has been mostly cloudy the past two days, also. I love cloudy days, too. There is just something about the lighting of a cloudy day. Don't get me wrong, I do like sunny days, just not in the summer. My favorite sunny days (and time of the year, too) are in the Fall. Perfect temperature, and I love the way the sun looks. What's your favorite time of the year? Do you like cloudy days?Leea (talk) 11:22, August 19, 2013 (UTC)

I also have a special place in my heart for rainy days. I'm not talking about those rains where it seems like it's raining (as an old saying goes) "hammer and hammer handles", but rather the type that is gentle. I suppose this feeling might come from too many classic books about Old England with the cobblestones and horse-and-buggies and men in top hats with walking sticks.Leea (talk) 22:27, August 19, 2013 (UTC)

I looked up my name today, out of curiosity as to what I would find. (sigh) I am not as invisible as I thought I was. 'Course, then again, it is the Internet, and with me having a unique name, what did I expect? "Peoplefinders.com" sure found me, along with a Google map to my place! I sure didn't expect to get that.Leea (talk) 19:35, August 20, 2013 (UTC)

Of course I don't want every shmoe on the Internet to know where I live. And the Google map for the location of my home was so precise, I think the color must have drained from my face. I only told you my real name and that I live in Mississippi because you're not every shmoe =)

  • Do you know about Numerology? Leea (talk) 11:05, August 21, 2013 (UTC)

Whoa! I wasn't expecting that one! I expected maybe some sort of sarcasm about "new age" stuff, but not that!

  • Well, the reason I asked about it is because I can do Numerology charts, and I always wanted to do a chart for someone that wasn't mom or dad. Gets kinda "same old-same old" doing charts for mom and dad again and again. =P I'd like to do your chart, if that's OK with you?Leea (talk) 11:32, August 22, 2013 (UTC)

I can do a lot with the date and time (it's about half of the chart), but I will also need your full birth name to do the whole chart. One's name covers 7 or so sections of the chart, so if I do one without a name, it leaves out some of the most important things, like the Personality Number and the Destiny Number.Leea (talk) 11:19, August 23, 2013 (UTC)

Alrighty, here's your chart:

Your Chart:

Your Destiny Number is a 1, which has the positive aspects of a "make it happen" attitude and an inherent ambition which will allow you to the most out of any opportunities that may come your way. You have determination, independence, and self-confidence that can mark you as a leader. If the negative aspects are allowed to flourish, then there could be a fear of routine, as well as a risk of egotism, aggression, and of becoming self-centered.

Your Life Path Number is a 4, and the positive aspects are practicality, organizational abilities, and dedication. These traits could be used a senior management or administration role. However, should the negative aspects be allowed to dominate, then one may well become obsessive and entrenched, and this will significantly alter both the path and destination of life's journey.

Your Birth Day Number is 19, which has many of the traits in common with your Destiny Number, along with the traits of being an original.

Your Personal Year Number is 8, which denotes a year of personal inner strength, and from this you will have the potential for many significant acheivements. But in order for them to come to fruition, you must recognize them when the opportunities appear, and act on them in a positive manner.

Your Soul Urge Number is 5, and it shows that you need to be in charge of your own destiny, and that any blocks on the path will generate frustration. You feel your best when you are free.

Your Personality Number is a 5, and fives are witty, strong-minded, and innovative, as a result, they are often seen as being inspirational, and they are usually socially popular.

Your Maturity Number is 5, which denotes that you have experienced many adventures in your life. Those who have learned from their travels and adventures will enjoy their mature years in peace and satisfaction. On the flip side, if one has made the most out of their life early, then their later years will likely end up being bored and resentful.

Your Pinnacles are: first pinnacle 2; second pinnacle 3; third pinnacle 5 and the fourth pinnacle is 5. The first pinnacle is usually considered to take place between the ages of 27-35, when afterwards the second pinnacle takes over for nine years, then afterwards the third pinnacle comes in for nine years more. The fourth pinnacle lasts until death. (did I lose you with the description yet? =P) So, your first pinnacle was a 2, which meant sensitivity, being highly strung and not a good communicator. Your second pinnacle was a 3, which meant that there was creativity, art, and compassion in your life. Your third pinnacle is a 5, and it means that there is a need for independence, but you are adaptable, and there is a desire for material success. Your fourth pinnacle is a 5, which means that there is some sort of material success in mind, you will still have drive, and organization.

Your Friendship Number is 1, which shares many traits with your Destiny Number, in addition to being generous and sensitive.

  • No, I'm not the person to sell your name for money. =) Don't worry about that. Your Destiny, Friendship, Soul Urge, Personality and Maturity Numbers come from your birth name, while the Life Path, Birth Day (duh), Personal Year, Maturity and Pinnacles come from your birth month/day/year. The Maturity Number comes from adding your birth date with your name. My Friendship number is a 6, which combined with yours means I'm supposed to help you "take it easy". =D Note that everything here comes from a book, I have not made anything up. So if you get mad at something in the chart, well, I only add up everything. =) Leea (talk) 22:49, August 23, 2013 (UTC)

Really? You're the first person I've done a chart for other than me, mom and dad. I'm glad you thought it sounded professional. Did you find out anything new about yourself? Numerology is for me mostly belief, the rest is study. Too bad I can't get a look at your hands, I've studied Palmistry too.Leea (talk) 12:20, August 24, 2013 (UTC)
