According to one video game news blog a source "close to Bethesda Softworks" spoke to journalists on condition of anonymity, saying that four DLC's other than Dead Money were in development as of December 2010, with two others being considered, which if approved would make for a total of seven add-ons for release over the next two years. Of the four DLC's planned for release after Dead Money, the source was said to have stated that the Courier has a "relationship" with Ulysses and that the nature of the relationship would surprise players. He also said that a future DLC would add an area to the game that players "likely thought they would never see", as well as "a personality from Fallout 3".

Any guesses? I think it might be Canada or Mexico. --GaussRifle 03:32, March 11, 2011 (UTC)

My guess is that it's the CommonWealth. The main CommonWealth "base" is located not far from New Vegas. And the other thing the "source close to Bethesda" said was that also appearing in the DLC would be "a personality from Fallout 3". My money is on Harkness because if he was turned in to Dr. Zimmer he was brought back to the CommonWealth on the east coast. From there maybe they send him to the CW base and he needs your help to escape or overthrow them or somehting. But I'm just speculating. -Kade Britt aka FalloutNINJA10

the commonwealth is in Massachusetts... how is that close to New Vegas? Philly wasteland 04:48, March 11, 2011 (UTC)

Okay, this idea may be a long shot, but what about Hawaii. I know it would be hard to get to but if Herold could get from the Hub to the Oasis with a tree growing out of his head then we should be able to get to Hawaii. It would have probably been hit with nukes because it is so close to China. The environment would be so original. --Coolkid9753 03:57, April 15, 2011 (UTC)

What about the likes of Arizona state? anything interesting there? I am not from the US and don't know much about the areas but there is something called death valley on the US map of Nevada. Then there is Virginia and Carson. I still want an insight into Europe and how it is looking after the war.

I would be suprised but also happy if Flagstaff was a location in a DLC just cause I want to see what Legion society really looks like --Ramallah 09:53, March 20, 2011 (UTC)

From the looks of it, there will only be three additional DLC packs. ZeniMax has trademarked the names of Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, and Lonesome Road---if they're planning more, they haven't breathed a word to anyone about them. SimuLord 10:55, March 20, 2011 (UTC)

i think that one of the dlc will take us to the big easy

You mean Big Empty unless you mean New Orleans but yeah as far as we know Old World Blues will take place in the Big Empty --Ramallah 17:54, March 23, 2011 (UTC)

hoping they throw us a curve ball and the "location we thought wed never see" is China. I feel like the Commonwealth is maybe to big for a DLC and would be better suited as stand alone. New Vegas is really far from the Commonwealth too so from the outside it doesen't seem like a viable option. Birchman34 23:09, March 23, 2011 (UTC)

That would be a hell of a curve ball but China is way further away than the Commonwealth so talk about something thats not a viable option. We pretty much know where the the DLC we know about is gonna take place. Honest Hearts-Utah, Old World Blues-Big Empty, Lonesome Road-The Divide.--Ramallah 15:06, March 26, 2011 (UTC)

New Reno? Mafia war anyone?

Yeah, maybe new reno, maybe even vault 13. If anything I personally think its going to be old school fallout. 5t3v0 06:57, March 27, 2011 (UTC)

I really do hope it'll be an old school location. V13, Bakersfield, The Hub, Shady Sands (NCR capital) something like that? xNOKIx 11:14, April 4, 2011 (UTC)

Personally I think it's going to be an Area 51 place. Pete, one of the Boomers at Nellis says their howitzers were found at a place he refers to as "Area 2". I highly doubt it's going to take place too far from the New Vegas area so China, Canada, the Commonwealth, those are out of the question. In Fallout 3 the farthest away any DLC took us was Point Lookout, Maryland, and really it's not too far from D.C.. Even the Pitt is only about a 3 or 4 hour drive from D.C.. I'm willing to make a bet on Area 2.--€;-£ 04:27, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

Area 2 is part of Nellis AFB it's just a good days walk from the area inhabitted by the Boomers. Area 51 would be a bit dodgey at best. I'd be interested to see more Aliens like in Zeta, but I think in the Fallout Universe placed like Mariposa were favored over Area 51. I think it would be great despite this. I honestly beleive that the Lone Wanderer will make an appearence as the Vault Dweller did in BOS. As for location, I honestly want New Reno or somewhere where F1 and F2 took place to get some canon established for F2 since thats all up in the air. Perhaps New Mexico will be included. We are already known to be visiting other locations from Van Buren. I'd be interested to see the Reservation and the Born Ghouls who exist there. TractionEra 05:18, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

I believe Fawkes will be the personality from fallout 3. He would describe the lone wanderer just as Marcus described the chosen one. Fawkes is the character most likely to travel out west out of all the characters from fallout 3. No matter what decision you made in the story, Fawkes's fate remains the same (unkillable). Also, consider the possibility they won't have a save file transfer. My other guess is Doctor Li. Anyone who would be appearing from fallout 3 would have a static role across any play through. For example, don't expect Harold, since there are 3 different outcomes for his fate. Don't expect Sarah Lyons, as she has two different endings. Don't expect riley's rangers. DO NOT expect the lone wanderer. Fawkes and doctor Li are the only characters I can think of that have the same fate across any playthrough.Kwayzar 05:54, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

Fawkes is boring. He's a flat, one dimensional cardboard cut out, whose Zen quotes are often mistaken for depth of character. He has nothing to add to the game. Madison Li is even worse - she's a stuck up, combat-impaired woman with no real depth or interesting history to go with her. Personally, I'd like to see Colonel Autumn make a return. He's the only interesting person in the game with any kind of depth. http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/0/08/Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 11:46, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

Unkillable? Theres an option to kill him with the terminal outside the room he's locked in while in the Vault. So he could be killed by the PC without him ever having left the Vault that sounds like an option that could prevent Fawkes from making an appearence. Anyhow, he said "personality" not exactly how I'd describe Fawkes. Three Dog is the only major personality, but he wouldn't have any reason to leave after the events of FO3. Colonel Autumn died at the purifier at the hands of the Lone Wanderer so he's out as well. Li's useless in most every way. I'd like to see some of the Outcasts or the Brotherhood. Preferably the Outcasts so we can get back some of the Brotherhoods old "charm". I don't remember any option to kill them outside storming their base and lightin' 'em up like a book of matches. I assume they consider Broken Steel canon so the Brotherhood faction led by Lyons is out as well (since you ain't makin any appearence after being nuked). Whoever it is will probly seem to fly entirely out of left field and knock us down. If I was a betting man, who had money, I'd wager that it'll be the Lone Wanderer. He/She would have no reason to stay in the Capital Wasteland after FO3 and I could imagine him/her moving west after hearing the stories Edler Lyons told. TractionEra 12:04, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

Not really. Autumn can be convinced to leave and he's the only really interesting character. As much as I'd like to see the Outcasts return, Henry Casdin isn't really a deep character. They also have very little to bring to the table. The Lone Wanderer is not going to appear - he's a player character with mutable looks. Note that outside of FO:PoS, previous games have defined very little about preceding PCs and none of them (again, with the exception of FO:PoS) featured previous games' protagonists. http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/0/08/Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 12:22, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

are all you guys blind? its gonna be the maxson boy from the citadel, by now he's grown up and coming from the dc wasteland with a detatchment of BOS paladins and most likely have come because of " word of the courier vs. courier as-kicking contest foretold at the divide"

Grown up? Squire Maxson would be 13 or 14 years in FO:NV. xNOKIx 17:47, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

Personality? Well that could include President Eden, and no big stretch for Eden's personality to have traveled cross continent. Vault 13 maybe? Everyone is expecting the Grand Canyon, so that's out. 75.67.224.12 04:50, April 15, 2011 (UTC)

Squire Maxson would make a good candidate. Nothing stopping the add-on from adding a few years to the game. It could even be Desmond Lockheart from Point Lookout. He mentionded traveling until his eemes were dead. And the added location might even be Texas.

50 bucks says its Area 51, personally I Hate the alien presence in the Fallout universe I hope it isn't - Rattigan 1:52 am EST May 8th

Hmmmm... what about skynet? 5t3v0 12:39, May 8, 2011 (UTC)

Skynet was fallout 2, unless there was some appearance I didn't see or notice lol BrotherhoodStealthPaladin 13:09, May 8, 2011 (UTC)

Desmond, anyone? or maybe The President survived and was rebuilt in old world blues?

Desmond was heading North, so no, And the President rebuilt and survived? How is that even logical? Trolly Polly 14:14, May 8, 2011

new vegas takes place years later, and in honest hearts takes place in utah so maybe he travels there, and perhaps when raven rock was being destroyed the president was still functioning under the the debris and was taken by the enclave to be rebuilt.

No. That will never happen. The Brotherhood by canon took over the wasteland. The Enclave could not transport a ZAX terminal because it is built there. It can't be moved, and Raven Rock is under BOS control and guard.

Also, rebuilding a character is an extremely overused, unoriginal, unimaginative, and boring cliche. It basically makes the previous game pointless. Trolly Polly 17:17, May 8, 2011 (UTC)

Guys the only characters that will come back are the few immortal ones from FO3. No maxson, you could blow up this citidel. I doubt any of the children. You could kill desomond. Unfortanently there are only 3 i can think of off the top of my head: Dr. Li (most boring human alive), harkness and the lone wander himself. There might be more, havent played in a good while, but those are really the only ones that make sense. Zion115 20:45, May 8, 2011 (UTC) Oh i swear if the enclave comes back AGAIN i will be so angry. I killed all of them twice. TWICE.

Agh crap... wrong thread... I meant with the character... this is about locations 5t3v0 10:24, May 9, 2011 (UTC)
