Ok, this is the first time I've posted here, so I hope I'm doing this right...
Firstly, let me say I'm playing New Vegas on the xbox, so using the console is out of the question.
I'm looking to acquire all the mods for the hunting rifle, and can't seem to find them for sale anywhere. According to the wikis on the various mods, they're all available from the Vendotron, Alexander and the Arms Merchant at Route 188, Blake at the Crimson Caravan, and some guy at the Fort (and maybe one other I can't remember at the moment). I've visited all these merchants except the guy at the fort because I'm vilified by the Legion, and no one has any hunting rifle mods for sale.
So, my question is, what's up with that? Do I have to reach a certain level for them to be available? Is there anywhere I can find them just lying around, or are they available as random loot at all?
- I'd just hang around outside of Gun Runners and wait 3 days until they have them in stock.

I did some stuff for the King and then waited 3 days, still nothin' doin'. I hope I'm not SOL...
Don't know if the merchant restock bug works on xbox, but you might give it a try. save in front of merchant, exit game to the startup screen. reload and if the bug works the merchant will have a complete new inventory. 75.67.224.12 21:35, September 4, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for the answers. I have that bug a try, and still nothin' doin'. I think I might indeed be SOL. I'll see if I have any old saves to try, but they'd be really old and I don't know if I want to redo that much stuff....
Keep trying the wait thing. The same thing happened to me.
