Maybe the NCR, but I'm more intelligent and reliable than any faction, so I killed everyone in control and ran Vegas by myself.

i would side with the brotherhood of steel they got the guns, the teck, and the skill.

Mr. House, all the way. He's a genius, he's got a plan and he's already got all the hard part done. He is the best chance to bring back the glory of the pre-war golden age. Plus, he pays best.

HelenaHanbazkt 02:32, April 23, 2011 (UTC)HelenaHanbazkt

I can't tell you why exactly but I don't like the Brotherhood. Perhaps it's because none of the fools in the Citadel knew my PC was a female? Perhaps it's because their directive is to scour for tech and damn the locals? Perhaps I just don't like seeing cookie-cutter enemies/friendlies? At any rate I'm siding with NCR. I'm going to fuck the brotherhood's shit up, something I always wanted to do in Fallout 3 but never did on account of how it broke the game for me. Personaly I would side with the NCR. They have high number, decent weaponry, and ties to the original Vault Dweller although so does the Brotherhood. Just something about how they put tech first rubs me the wrong way."VaultTec X 22:48, August 2, 2010 (UTC)"

I would go with the Legion all the time if two things happened: 1. Caesar died. 2. They treated women better. Only because they treat people fairly (Most of the time.) and they keep their citizens protected. --LegionSniper569 04:02, June 4, 2011 (UTC)

im going with the BOS i think there the best. i like that thay only do whats good for them and dose not get involved in other peoples problems MrDot01 00:16, August 3, 2010 (UTC)

I'm going to try and stick with the NCR but I'm also going to try and keep the Brotherhood of Steel friendly because I usually use Energy Weapons near the end of the game. I want Ceaser's Legion dead!!!. Overall I will be the Charismatic, Intellectual, Agile, and noble wastelander hanging out in the New Vegas "strip clubs"

Silent 14411 8/2/2010 [UTC] I vote for the Brotherhood. They are cool and are only looking for technology, so I should be able to hang out in a casino and not piss off House while still helping the BoS. I also hate Ceaser's Legion, so what they "united all of the tribes who were just killing each other." Now they're all killing other people. The NCR is probably the best bet for rebuilding the world so I'll help them as long as they don't make me piss off the BoS. But the NCR isn't all good, they are holding back the water and power to people they think deserve (I bet you that they get bribes from all over the strip) Yum Brahmin 19:11, August 4, 2010 (UTC)

Me and the BoS don't mix, never have never will. Also with my evil roleplaying of Vault Villains im not gunna side with these guys am I? Besides i like to "Stick it to da man!"

JaspertheViking :D? 19:14, August 4, 2010 (UTC)

These BoS are self-centered tech gatherers.

West Coast <> East Coast

Cares only about self <> Plays well with others

Wants technology <> Wants world peace

Cool <> Not

They are better than the East Coast.

Yum Brahmin 15:17, August 5, 2010 (UTC)

i like to call it being neutral to everyones problems but there own and there is nothing rong with being neutral. i dont think there beter because when it comes down to it thay are the same there the BoS MrDot01 17:08, August 5, 2010 (UTC)

Ok let me rephrase that, I don't mix well with anyone. I'm not a bad guy as such, I just love killing stuff. JaspertheViking :D? 18:03, August 5, 2010 (UTC)

Hey BoS *bang*, hey there NCR *bang*, hey there Ceaser *bang bang bang* tough bastard. I get your drift "Exterminator" ;)Yum Brahmin 03:02, August 7, 2010 (UTC)

NCR I dislike for west coast BoS sending me to that death trap in fallout but I dont hate them they are neutral not evil but not good . Knight Captain Kerr 20:43, 16, August, 2010 (UTC)

I'm not gunna side with anyone i'll just play them off against each other. I'll pretend to be nice to them just to get what I want.BLACK LENNY 06:19, August 18, 2010 (UTC)

They've said in several Developer interviews that at first it seems like NCR is good and Ceasar's Legion is evil but you get a more in-depth look at both factions. NCR does its fair share of nasty things and apparently Ceasar's Legion isn't all bad. @ all you haters, the BoS is preserving the tech we once had so that it isn't lost forever and we're snet back to the stone age. Eventually, when there's nothing left to scavenge, the BoS will still be around.Lx MALEX xl 19:30, August 19, 2010 (UTC)

so it looks like NV will be a big gray area, you pick wich is good and bad based on what you think. whats with the fighting over the BOS west and east, ones not beter then the other yes the west is stronger and the east is nicer but thay are still the same BOS 174.55.54.63 23:27, August 19, 2010 (UTC)

Why do all these faction questions end up being "BOS or NCR??????"? I'm siding with Omerta, and anyone who disagrees will sleep wit the fishes. So fuggedabout it. Capiche? RadRuler 01:37, August 21, 2010 (UTC)

At some point, I'm going to try to get the NCR and the BOS to work together. I don't like Ceaser's Legion or the Great Khans. My biggest issue with Ceaser's Legion is that their going around, passing judgment wastelanders, and then killing them. Look at what they did to Camp Searchlight. They irradiated a whole town just to wipe out the NCR. I'm certain that the NCR does a bad thing or two, but not nearly as bad as what Ceaser's Legion does. The BOS are cool. They've got the coolest weapons and the coolest armor.--Ryker6118:43, April 9, 2011 (UTC)~ 11:42am 04/09/2011

Mr House, because New Vegas is a vibrant form of excapism for the people of the mojave and it should stay that way, without the NCR's taxes and bullying, thats what started the war in the first place, they keep the area reletivly safe but thats the only good they do, and the legion just run around killing people and destroying things just because they can, and i allways found the brotherhood to be zenophobic and hypocrites (apart from the Lyons/capital wastland detachment, excluding the Outcasts.) Besides, being the aprentice/protege of Mr House sounds promising. LeviLauson 04:54, April 10, 2011 (UTC)

Honestly, there isn't one "major" faction I'd join. NCR is basically the same government that drove the country into the ground, Caesar's Legion tries to break violence with violence, Mr. House has plans for New Vegas only, and the Brotherhood are more interested in tech than anything else. The rest of the factions have too little influence to do anything productive. Great Khans are nothing more than drug dealers and petty thieves, Boomers are xenophobes with little common sense, and the Families all have their issues (cannibalism, drugs, and inner struggle). The only faction that has their stuff together is the Followers. All they lack is a suitable armed force. I'd probably join the Followers and try to build them an army so they could take action against all the other factions vying for power. If the Followers had major influence over the Mojave, things would change drastically. Thedarkscythe 01:07, April 10, 2011 (UTC)

I allied myself with all of the factions, except the Legion, Mr. House, NCR, Gun Runners, Crimson Caravan, Van Graffs, Powder Gangers, Fiends, Scorpions, Greasers, Vipers, Jackals, and the Thorn. 67.169.175.134 04:08, April 10, 2011 (UTC)

House and the Legion suffer from the same flaw, one man imposing their vision on the rest of the world and screw anyone who doesn't fit into their plan, that doesn't work for me. The NCR I could back if I thought there was a good chance of a leader emerging who would play the various power groups off against each other for the benefit of the NCR instead of the current situation of infighting - I see no evidence one way or the other in the game so I have to reserve judgement on the NCR. BOS forget about it, their interest in the world beyond their bunker is limited to keeping the keeping high tech out the hands of anyone else, not that I want to destroy them or anything, but I cannot throw in with them. Khans, Kings, Westsiders, Jacobstown & such I would side with if they had more power but they are too weak to be effective alone. I have to go with Yes Man to form a coalition of the smaller groups, and count on myself to walk-away from power instead of becoming a new House (although I would keep Archimides as a back-up if Yes Man became a problem), it would probably wind up being the NCR writ smaller.75.67.224.12 17:29, April 10, 2011 (UTC)

I usually side with the NCR because they have the most quest lines and more rewards, yes man once, and im now doing my first legion play through. i think after you completed the NCR quest line a legion play through is worth the trait of quests for more hostiles to kill. siding with the brotherhood would be a good strategy for the energy weapons build, you would have easy access to energy weapons. with the brotherhood as a main faction there would be tons more energy weapons in the game too. -JoshGDC

I'd side with NCR simply because I hate hate hate the legion, and NCR has most forces to deal with the wankers in skirts. NCR is deffinately the biggest, most accesible faction, and they seem to have more troops than the legion has bullets..

I dont like the brotherhood, they attacked me on site. They're meant to be big and tough but one solitary courier with a ibot is such a threat?! Bullies!

I'd consdier Followers of the Apocalypse, if they count. But they have no weapons. They're cool and generous but essentially just newage hippies. Bekked 02:09, April 13, 2011 (UTC)

I would have to say the NCR, as much as i like the brotherhood and such, Because they are a fixed governmental power with laws and punishment. They remind me of the roman empire more than Caesers legion, as they are spread out far across the wasteland, but are too spread out alike the romans and that will end in their downfall as it has with many other nations. But i would side with them as they in the end would help alot of people in the wastes reach order and restore the wasteland to a true governemnt. Vampire hunter D 13:22, April 24, 2011 (UTC)

It's all for me baby. I take no sides and I take no prisoners. I'll float along with whichever faction is offering the best reward and then I'll turn right around and fight for the other side. I'm an honest to goodness merc. Zac hemker 21:51, June 2, 2011 (UTC)

I am basically good with anyone but Caeser's legion, but the family would be Followers of Apocalyse. They are the only faction who truly care about people in need in the waste.

Of course I myself, I would like to form a mojave confederacy with boomer, bos, great khan, dead horse a i as the strip. the bos is dangerous but useful. I would let them patrol the road before the tech form adams air force base arrive. the boomer become the air force , and it's just okay to let them remain there.the great khan who absorbed powder ganger and the dead horse who lead the sorrow become the army, under the training of Joshua Graham and khans fighting style, they will be just like ncr trooper and legion recurit, they can absorb tribe lke 80s and fiend.Great khan can be under courier once i finish we are legion and kill papa khan.Khan can also produce valuable medical supply. Boomer and great khan have the ability to produce weapon, and we can give them the informtion of gunner to improve them. courier can also use the databank of mr house to create energy weapon after dealing with the bos.WE have the eletricity form hoover dam and helios one, and ede also provide some tech for renewable energy. Colorado provide unlimited water, we don't need to afraid caesar pollute the source since theit capital is in the lower colorado. vault 22 provide a great tech for planting, sloan provide concrete.we gain our profit form gambling caravan and selling water, eletricity and supply to ncr.we may even push our force to utah , to the home of Joshua Graham. Ionly worry about yse man and Joshua Graham , will they betray me. I even any one make a mod for the development of the mojave (Vvardenfell 10:49, June 6, 2011 (UTC))

For me it would be a toss up, the NCR has good intentions but seems to lack resources and strong effective leadership. So if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. User:Scout Sniper 7 6:43, June 7, 2011

I'm siding with Mr House. As HelenaHanbazkt said, he's got a plan and the means to back it up if the Courier helps him achieve victory at the Hoover Dam. He is also a true genius and knows excatly what needs to be done and is pragmatic and ruthless enough to attain his goals. Caesers Legion is a real step backwards for humanity and I always take delight in trashing them. The NCR is a poor shadow of pre war US goverment with none of the real virtues that the US republic had. Yes Man is probably my 2nd choice. I suspect that his ending is the canon one however, even if he wins, I suspect that Mr House had left something behind in his mainframe, like a code virus which will be a copy of his neural pathways thus allowing himself to upload his mind into Yes Man therefore ensuring that the HOUSE ALWAYS WINS! Mr House was a real genius and there is no doubt he would have calculated the possibility of the couriers betrayel and as such, planned a contingency for it. {addendum} As LevinLauson as pointed out, being Mr. Houses' protoge has a hell of a lot going for it than getting a medal and a hearty well done son from the NCR or a gold coin minted with the couriers likeness on it from the Legion. House has access to longevity technology thus he could grant virtual imortality to the courier in a couple of decades. I do think that the Followers are the only other faction that seem to have a plan to rebuild humanity although they appear to be struggling and are more of a charity/help organisation than a true force of change. The BoS are a dead end as as much as I liked them as a faction, they ar their own worst enemey with their blind adherance to their codex which forbids them to make the necessary changes which will enable them to survive. This is evident in Veronica's quest line and she herself lamments the BoS's lack of flexibility and knows that they are doomed. The Kings are the most fun faction and I always enjoyed helping them out. The 3 families are nothing more than parasites, with the Tops mob being the least offensive of all of them. At least once Benny is eliminated they are mostly into providing entertainment. The Omerta's and the sicko's at the UltraLux get the death sentance if I allow YesMan to win. The Boomers have a chance of changing as they recognise that they need to interact with the outside world if the Courier has been kind to them. The Khans and PowderGangers are just thugs and jumped up raiders and the Fiends just need to be put down like rabid dogs. I usually help the Khans though due to their rough treatment from the NCR & the Bittersprings massacre. I think that telling Papa Khan to hightail if out of thr Mojave and head to Wisconsin is the best for them as it finally gives them & the followers a real chance to build an alternate society that thrives. 124.169.229.35 01:38, June 8, 2011 (UTC)

House, he has the resources, the ingenuity, the expierince. I would probably use my substantial pull with him to integrate the remamining Followers, as a way to peacefully anex the suronding towns and cities, we would stop around Novac, and more or less create a new NCR, with less corruption. Mr. House Probably has a long term plan, meaning that eventually society will be restored. ToestheUnwholy 13:53, June 8, 2011 (UTC)

I skimmed through this, so this may be incorrect, but not ONE of you wants to side with the Enclave? The organization, with the best tech, and the fantastic goal of re civilizing, the wastes and turning America back into the powerhouse it used to be?

I would without a doubt join the Enclave.

---Autumn- 13:21, June 10, 2011 (UTC)

And the genocide, don't forget thatToestheUnwholy 14:48, June 10, 2011 (UTC)

I didn't see you mention the Brotherhood of Steel's merciless campaign to slaughter every sentient ghoul in the wasteland, Their genocide is pretty bad too -I'd Imagine.

Yep, and the fact that the Enclave have been cowering in bunkers for 200 years, despite having loads of power armour, vertibirds and other lethal toys of death, yeah, they are a real bunch of can do guys! Pfftt. The Enclave probably initiated the Great War anyway and are a bunch of sicko losers that let their arses get kicked by a tribal & a lone Vault guy so they don't really seem to me at least, poster boys for the win, Seriously, if you're a paramilitary fascist organisation that spends all its time plotting and lurking but not doing anything, then they have no right to be the rulers of postapocalytia. Even the raiders have more get up and go than the Enclave, more show of initiative and even dare I say, a plan? [go forth, rape pillage, cause chaos vs the Enclave sit still with thumb inserted into a$$] The Enclave while cast as this ulitmate bogey man evil is really quite powerless. Its also really poorly writen as a plot device. Come on...these guys knew the war was coming and had prepared for it but what did they do for over 100 odd year after the mirth was over? Nothing! If theree was ever a time to go out and stand on the neck of wasteland America, they certainly missed their chance after most of the Rads had disipated. That would have been a year or so after the war. Nah...the Enclave are not a faction worth hitching your fortune to. Captain Taipan 00:58, June 11, 2011 (UTC)

First, the word "cowering" is a bit inappropriate for description of the Enclave. Biding your time, would be a better description, If you had enough food, people resources, etc, I think you would want to remain safe, no matter where you where. Not only that, the tribal and the vault dweller are not really good examples, as you where never really given the choice to assist the Enclave anyway, your godlike abilities, are forced into the hands of the "good" people, who are really just care about themselves (brotherhood of steel, huboligists, etc...) And the Enclave has done quite a bit, (converting a massive oil rig situated above the ocean as a HQ, Sustaining a massive fleet of Vertibirds, the ONLY mechanized vehicle that works in the whole wasteland, Has access, to a deadly Orbital Ordinance delivery system, The mobile base crawler, Superior armor, weapons, etc...) Not only that the Enclave has never had access to someone with such godlike skill, and when they did in Fallout 3 (FEV Strand) they easily accomplished their goals.Just like the Brotherhood of Steel, who used the Player character in nearly EVERY game to date to accomplish their means.

If I come off as rude, forgive me just defending my side.

Also,If you want to continue this discussion, I'd suggest we do it on my, or your, talk page, as it seems we are fouling up the thread here.

-Autumn- 01:30, June 11, 2011 (UTC)

If it weren't for the whole "evil shadow government" deal, I'd work for the Enclave. The NCR is far too corrupt in their practices, and Mr.House only wants a world of Pre-War glory. The Brotherhood is too concerned collecting weaponry. The Khans are nothing but drug-peddalars. The Fiends are....f**ked up. I'd work with the Followers. At least they give a crap about the citizens of New Vegas. (You're probably wondering why I didn't mention the Legion. A slaver army; following the every whim of one man who prevents them from learning basic skills in favor of machete hacking? Good luck.) - Whiskey

I would ally with House pretty much every time, he has a plan to fix the wasteland and recreate society, and he also has the tech and the money. But the problem with that is that I think House is an elitist asshole and I also dislike his methods so I would probably want to kill the guy and take over myself. Frobrosho 14:21, June 12, 2011 (UTC)
