Giant rats are creatures found in the Midwest, and are seen during the year 2197.

Background[]

Giant rats are puppy-sized rodents that inhabit the wastes. Having managed to survive the atomic bombs of the Great War and continue to multiply, these rats were mutated dramatically and now plague the wastes. Even after the Great War, the people of the wastes see them as vermin, and they are considered easy prey by human trappers, as their meat is commonplace in most markets. All rats run in packs, but they are not usually very dangerous.

Characteristics[]

Biology[]

Giant rats appear to simply be larger versions of normal pre-War rats. Giant rats sport incredibly mangy and ragged fur, and, like normal rats, appear to have very large incisors.

Gameplay attributes[]

Giant rats travel and live in large packs, and are usually encountered in large groups.

Variants[]

Rats are very diminutive rodents who pose only an incredibly minor threat to most wastelanders. They are small, fast, and they have got a mean streak.
