It might be an issue with the browser you're using or the resolution of your screen if the problem is still there. Wanted pages

Ahh, it glads my heart to see we have less than 500 number of pages! However, there are some links on pages (user talk, forums) where the link leads on a page that seems... strange. It appears it is like deleted (instead of edit there is the start button), yet it is still a page. Do you have any ideas on how to fix this or should we ignore them? Pointless edits

J, I know that you are our premier editor and want to stay on top and to get the highest edit count you can, but sometimes I must say your edits are questionable. I think that edits like this one are very hypocritical of you bearing in mind you are the admin who hands out the most bans for achievement boosting, and if someone else did this I would be in no doubt that you would warn them. κηδεμόνας ^[~μιλώ~] 21:49, February 14, 2012 (UTC)

No, I read that, but why change it so many times? You need only have worked out what categories needed to be attached before you created it as to avoid so many changes within such a short time. To me, it looks very much like 'unintentional' mistakes to boost your category adding count. I've seen edits like these since I got here, and I'm not trying to argue with or annoy you, but I think it's about time this kind of editing stops. κηδεμόνας ^[~μιλώ~] 22:02, February 14, 2012 (UTC)

That seems reasonable as an excuse, but I don't think that anyone should be exluded from bannable offenses no matter how much work they do. MERCH1.MSG and MERCHRD1.MSG

So I finished playing org. Fallout and I'm trying to add more info where stub is. However, the most strangest thing are the characters from those dialouge files. I never enountered them, yet they seem to be in Hub, Water Merchants. I think they are all cut, though I would like to remove all image needed and stub templates as we don't know anything else. What do you think?

Pro item

It appears only the Military Base Security code is only page I can add. The rest of the links (excluding Vault Records and Granite-Inc., I can't seem to find the Vault Records and about the Granite-Inc. I don't know much) can be deleted, they aren't much of worth of a page (at least I can say so).

I see the previous edits, only the tool board and M.B. security code remain. However, some images, like Fo1 readhair model - the girl with red hair needs to be cut like other character models. Also, the waterpump image could be cut (the Pip-Boy part) so you could replace it on Fix the Necropolis water pump. Would you do it? Re:NCR Veteran Rangers

Very well then. I don't really have a problem with it staying, I just didn't feel like it was really a "Behind the scenes" note, perhaps just a regular note. And I don't think it really matters who added these notes, as long as they are good they can stay. At least that's how it is for me. Take a look at this one. Actually, I really don't have a problem with translations too, especially Latin ones. I don't feel like those one or two sentences really cause any harm. I've been removing some recently mostly to keep consistency and because Leon has been doing so. If I may butt-in, I've been removing translations because both KingClyde and Garoux have been removing Latin and Spanish translations. Personally, I think they should all stay, as they do add a lot to the articles. But I do not agree with selective retaining this or that translation while removing others, if only for the sake of consistency. Stub tag policy

Just for clarification, is it okay to remove the stub tag from cut content, or abandoned projects like Van Buren? After all the stub tag implies there are still actually things we can do, while most time we've obviously already done all we could we the information available. If you don't mind, I'd like to say something here. The thing is, this wiki isn't 100% complete when it comes to older games. You'll still find red links when it comes to the games that were released.

That's not very relevant, but Van Buren in particular was a very big project when it got cancelled, and there were PLENTY of design documents. If you check out this over on NMA, you'll see what I'm talking about. There really is a lot of information on the game, we're talking more than a dozen different documents with again dozens of pages of information, and there's a big chance there's more information in those pages that we haven't added to the wiki. I don't think we should remove stubs from anything, as you never know whether or not there actually is information out there on it, if there will be in the future, or if it actually is all that there is to it.

I can also recommend some of these design documents if you want some light fun reading. It's really interesting, Van Buren would've been an absolutely amazing game. RIP. -=KAG=-^{My Pride} 04:00, February 17, 2012 (UTC)

Developer bios etc.

Hi, I just had a quick question I wanted to ask.

The pages for the developers on this wiki are rather short and contain little to no information on the different people. Was just wondering what you thought of this? I seem to remember Ausir talking about it not being necessary for us to focus on expanding these articles, as it didn't really relate much to Fallout apart from the fact that these people made it, and I agreed with him on that. Hmm, it seems to want to add that category no matter how I try to remove it. I'll talk to some technical staff about whether it can be removed. In the mean time you can create Category:BlogListingPage with the content __HIDDENCAT__ which will hide the category for most users viewing the list until it can be removed. Never got around to answering this fully. Yeah I did the Van Buren images using some extracting software I found on NMA. But it only works for the VB tech ddemo, since it uses the Jefferson engine. The best persons to ask about FO1/2 would be Ita and Ghouly, since they where doing the majority of the work before they left. Ghouly is still around somewhere, editing on other Wikia wikis I believe, but I cant remember which ones he is active on. Catfish mirelurk or Giant catfish?

I've been working on adding pieces of concept art and making pages for the content found in the concept art that was cut from the final product (Fallout 3), and came across more CA of the Catfish mirelurk. Now, I see there's a page called Giant catfish, and there's a section on Mirelurk that mentions the same creature, but named "Catfish mirelurk". The only reason it would be called a "Giant catfish" is that there's a character in Fallout 1 that mentions giant catfish. I'm not entirely sure what to do here, but I'd say we move the Giant catfish article to Catfish mirelurk. I don't wanted to do this without getting another opinion on it though. In that case, pretty much all the information on the Giant catfish page will be removed, with no images. There's basically no point in keeping it if it's supposed to only be about the creature mentioned by an NPC in Fallout. Yup, I couldn't make it look right with the gamebryo one, and I remembered we had something else back in the day which was easier to manipulate, so I found it on the Mason jar mine article and used it on the Air hammer gun to make it look good. Respectfully, Jspoel, I have full freedom to express myself as long as I break no guidelines - which I in no way did. You might think that "fuck" is a horrid word.

It's called expletive intonation and I think that I should have all right to use this method of writing to express myself any which I way I choose to, as long as no guidelines are broken. "No words for an admin"? So the moment you reach adminship all cursing should immediately cease? Why, if I may ask? I think it's rather silly to restrict myself like that because I'm in a place of authority. I got the position because I was and spoke a certain way, and I'm not changing the way I express myself simply because you think it looks "off colour" in some way. Well, yeah, that's the thing. They can say it. There are no regulations against expletives, and there shouldn't be. This is a wiki for adult games, with adult content and the users who come here should be assumed to be adult. It's entirely fine to use expletives because, and stay with me here, it's not against any rules, and neither is it necessarily bad. I added it in to really emphasise that it did not matter at all, and that I couldn't care less. I'd like to refer to Stephen Fry on this. Click this plox.

Also, I did mean administrator because I was referring to myself - or indeed anyone who steps up to a place of authority -, and not you. When it comes to your application I didn't vote because I didn't really care, needed to or remembered at all. It was obvious that you'd make it in a heartbeat, so did you really need my vote? Messages

The 'You have new messages' on such-and-such wiki? That happened to me with the WWII wiki a couple of weeks ago. I had to go to Community Central and clear my messages from the word-wall app thing. (top right corner with numbers displayed) ^Message 23:27, February 22, 2012 (UTC)

That's odd. Hasn't been happening to me, but I do remember having the message problem awhile back when they set up the new messaging system at CC. Wouldn't be able to get rid of the message until I actually went to CC and marked the message as read. Quite annoying. ^Skål! 23:27, February 22, 2012 (UTC)

Yes, the text balloon icon at the top right corner. If you have messages on it there should be numbers in a red box showing how many. If there are none there maybe try other wikis that you been on that have the feature? ^Message 23:46, February 22, 2012 (UTC)
