High-tech gun case

A high-tech gun case is a container found in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Lonesome Road.

Characteristics[]

As the name suggests, it's a weapon case that holds non-conventional and high-end weapons and ammunition, such as mini nukes, Gatling lasers, and Tesla cannons (not only guns). There are two variants of the case, one with energy weapons and guns (type 01), and the other with explosives (type 02).

Locations[]

Three at Dry Wells, one near the dock, in a ruined house (type 01); the others further down the road, in a destroyed brick building near ground zero (one type 01, one type 02).
Three at the Long 15, one near the highway pillar directly ahead of the gate to the Mojave Outpost (type 01), the other two further to the west under an overturned military truck (one type 01, one type 02).
Three are found at The Courier's Mile, one left of the map center (type 01), the other two to the southeast (one type 01, one type 02).

Type 01[]

One Tier 5 energy weapon at varying condition, with leveled amounts of ammo and/or drained ammo:

One Tier 5 explosive weapon:
- Fat Man at 50% condition, no ammo¹
- Grenade machinegun at varying condition, with leveled amount of 25mm grenades
One Tier 5 melee weapon at varying condition (50% chance):
Up to five mini nukes (75% chance per count)¹
Five grenades of the same type:

¹ Unlike all other weapons on the list, the chance for the Fat Man is calculated separately from the chance for mini nukes. It is possible to get the Fat Man but no mini nukes, or some mini nukes but no Fat Man.
