Ingram Mansion was a location in the Savage Divide region of Appalachia in Fallout 76.

With the America's Playground update, this location was revamped and renamed to the Rose Room, and became inhabited by the Russo family. This page covers its appearance prior to its renaming with America's Playground.

Background[]

This mansion was apparently affiliated with an "Ingram" family. Nothing is known about the pre-War owners, nor any owners in the pre-Plague period. Before Wastelanders, this location was inhabited by several hostile robots, including Assaultrons, Mister Gutsies and Robobrains.

In the Wastelanders updates, the Cult of the Mothman converted the mansion into a small settlement, erecting several tents outside, and allowing strange roots to overtake the architecture.

In the Expeditions: Atlantic City update Boardwalk Paradise, it underwent further changes. The cultists and their primitivist structures were cleared out to make room for a new development. The building was sealed and the introduction of the Rose Room was teased with the note Come back soon. The change to the Rose Room was fully implemented with America's Playground.

Layout[]

There was a large courtyard in front of this two-story manor, dominated by twin statues of lions. The courtyard was surrounded by a defensive wall and gate which the Cult of the Mothman shaped from the roots which overtook the area, woven with branches and bones. A fountain here was adorned with eight art deco valkyries. There was a large wooden pathway that can be used to access the second floor. The front doors were boarded up but the building could be accessed through the broken front windows or via a set of stairs in the backyard. There was a weapons workbench at the back of the building, near a garden hose, and some scaffolding.

The first floor contained a kitchen, a living room converted into cultist barracks, and an office. A copy of the October edition of Cryptid Hunters was located in the kitchen. The office could only be accessed via some broken windows at the back of the building. It contained a terminal attached to one of the room's walls.

The second floor could be accessed via a set of outdoor stairs in the backyard which led to a balcony, or by the aforementioned pathway. Only one bedroom was accessible on this floor. The bedroom contained a trunk, a locked wall safe (Picklock 1), and a submachine gun lying in front of a fireplace.

Notable loot[]

  • C.H. Monthly, October - Note, on a counter in the kitchen.
  • Chapter 8 - Holotape, on a dinner table on the first floor of the mansion.
  • Cultist - Mind's Eye - Holotape, on a fireplace next to a green military trunk.
  • One-time keycode - Unique generated keycode, found at a terminal in the office using the Nuka Cola marketing access code.
  • Potential Vault-Tec bobblehead - In the western end of the mansion, in the master bedroom, on the mantle of the stone fireplace.
  • Two potential magazines:
    • In the living room with the two green couches and wicker rug, on the low side coffee table.
    • In the eastern end of the mansion, upstairs in the balcony hallway, on the small painted side dresser.
  • Six clutches of mothman eggs - Inside the house.

Notes[]

76 WL Ingram gate
  • In the cultist iteration of the area, the entryway perfectly framed the Top of the World when viewed from the courtyard.
  • Fallout 76 removed content Similar to most other cultist settlements, there was once a scripted mothman appearance in the courtyard at Ingram. However, the scene was deactivated at an unknown point prior to Boardwalk Paradise.
  • In the Boardwalk Paradise version of the area, the Cult of the Mothman presence was cleared from the grounds. The cultist holotapes were moved to tables surrounding the mansion, and accessing the interior was impossible. A chalkboard by the cliffs was added, advertising a "scenic veiw" In-game spelling, punctuation and/or grammar. The note Come back soon indicated that it is being set up for future content, which became the Rose Room with America's Playground.
    • An all-black banner without a finished texture previously hung above the mansion in the September 28, 2023, version of the PTS, but was removed in the October 3 update.
    • Creating the one-time keycode was also impossible from September 28-October 3, until a desk terminal was added outside of the building.
  • Fallout 76 removed content Ingram Mansion was a key strategic point in the Nuclear Winter gamemode.

Appearances[]

The Ingram Mansion appeared only in Fallout 76. It was replaced by the Rose Room with the America's Playground update.
