Then along comes the most peculiar-looking fellow, all decked out in a yellow radiation suit, of which he was proud all out of proportion. The man outright asked if I had anything radioactive for sale - imagine that! But he paid handsome for that jar of goop.Old Lady Gibson

Mr. RADical[1] (named scavenger in-game) was a scavenger in 2281.

Background

Mr. RADical found a radiation suit and tested it by going to the irradiated Yucca Mountain. When he found out how well it worked, he started testing it in more dangerous places. He even purchased a batch of isotope-239 igniting agent from Old Lady Gibson to dump on himself.

Though his journal indicates he may have been suffering from the onset of radiation poisoning, he dismissed it as food poisoning and continued his experiments.

Mr. RADical met his end at Clark Field, where he never had the chance to dump the isotope on himself. His remains can be found in the roadway on the north side of the location.

If this happens, the only way to complete the quest Come Fly With Me is to get five rocket souvenirs or taking the isotope jar from the pack brahmin found dead near the southern entrance of Clark Field.
