A mutated fern is a world object in Fallout 76.
Characteristics[]
Found throughout several parts of Appalachia, including the Mire, Toxic Valley, and Cranberry Bog. The plants grow flowers that can be harvested.
Blast zone[]
When affected by a blast zone, the ferns change in appearance. The flowers mutate into flash ferns, yielding raw violet flux when harvested.

- Several throughout the Toxic Valley.
- Several between Sunrise Field and Drop Site V9.
- At the hunter's shack.
- At Southhampton Estate.
- At Highland Marsh.
- At Thunder Mountain substation TM-01.
- Scattered on the hill west of Woods Estate.
- Six are present due west of Dolly Sods Wilderness, along a streambank.
