Stokes was one of the researchers trapped inside Cambridge Polymer Labs when the Great War struck and Jon Elwood placed the laboratory on lockdown. Stokes sent Elwood a message, cursing at him for his actions.[1] Ultimately, they perished alongside the rest of the team in the locked lab.
