Nathan was the warden for the NCR Correctional Facility in 2281.
Background[]
Nathan was the warden for the NCRCF charged with the security of the rail line repair and prison laborers being used for forced labor. This, however, became more and more a challenge as his troops were being transferred to Hoover Dam from orders by General Lee Oliver.[1][2] Despite seeing the reports on Caesar's Legion, Nathan considered the Legion no more than raiders and further saw the transfers of more and more of his guards as ridiculous as he was left with no guards to keep the prisoners in-line.[3]
It became such a problem that he was going to call in a favor to an old friend of his, James Hsu, to report his complaint to the NCR command for more troops to guard the prison. He knew something was wrong, becoming nervous when all the younger inmates became model prisoners after Samuel Cooke became popular.[4] This, however, was too little, too late; while he was still drafting the letter, he was killed in the NCRCF prison break led by Samuel Cooke.[2]
