New power cables are a quest item and junk item in Fallout 4.
Characteristics[]
A yellow spool with grey power cables spun around it, meant for replacing the damaged electric wiring inside the USS Constitution. If the cables are not used during the quest they can be salvaged afterwards for some copper and steel.
