The Nuka-grenade is a weapon added with the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Gun Runners' Arsenal.

Characteristics

An extremely powerful improvised explosive that incorporates the radioactive properties of a relatively rare Nuka-Cola variant to produce an enhanced plasma blast. Upon detonation, the target area also becomes irradiated for a short time afterward. It is considered a holdout weapon.

Crafting

This weapon cannot be found in the game, it can only be crafted which requires taking the Mad Bomber perk. The recipe requires Nuka-Cola Quartz, which has a finite amount of fixed locations in-game, meaning only a small number of these grenades can be created unless one also takes the Nuka Chemist perk which grants the recipe to make more Quartz.

Notes

• Additional samples of Quartz can be found in the Old World Blues and Lonesome Road add-ons.
• The Vault Boy image differs from that used for the Fallout 3 variant.
• It is the most powerful thrown explosive weapon available without the Wild Wasteland trait, whereas with it, the Holy Frag Grenade is more powerful.
• It retains the unique blue detonation seen in Fallout 3.
