The piston spear is a melee weapon in Fallout Tactics.
Characteristics
What was once a primitive tribal weapon has now been enhanced with contemporary technology. It uses a metal shaft with the addition of a spring-loaded piston which reacts on impact to increase penetration capabilities up to 30cm further, allowing it to inflict more damage, making it superior to the normal spear, but at a cost of reliability damage-wise. This spear can be used for standard melee attacks but can also be thrown for the potential to inflict significantly more damage.

- Reaver patrols near Bunker Delta wield it.
Notes
This is the heaviest spear in the game weighing in at 8 lbs., heavier than many other more complex weapons.
