Sal Barsconi was the boss of one of the Italian families in Boston. One of the men who worked for him was Johnny Montrano, Jr.[1]
Barsconi and Eddie Winter attempted to improve North and South Side relations, but their efforts resulted in failure. Winter agreed to hire Montrano, a member of Barsconi's crew, for an easy job as a lookout. Montrano failed in his duties, resulting in a bust of Winter's operations. Additionally, Barsconi's crew shot up a theater in Danvers, resulting in the deaths of many innocent civilians. Under the guise of an invitation to meet and talk it out, Eddie Winter's holotape implicates Barsconi in the Danvers murders.[1]
