Seth McCaughey is a developer who worked at Obsidian Entertainment on Fallout: New Vegas as an animator.
Career[]
Work on the Fallout series[]
McCaughey worked on almost all of the first-person weapon animations for the base game. Looping reloads for weapons was a significant challenge for the team that they worked on for a long time.[1] He also created the Gojira hidden in the game's files, as a fun way to terrorize Camp McCarran during the game's development.[2]
McCaughey also worked on the game's add-ons: for Honest Hearts, he created Joshua Graham's gun reloading animation; for Old World Blues, he did the animations for the think tanks; and for Lonesome Road, he did all the animations for ED-E and brainstormed the shoulder mounted machine gun.[3]

Joshua Sawyer: "We had a number of people that worked on first-person anims for the game. Seth McCaughey worked on... Seth did almost all the first-person weapon anims. The biggest issues that we really had were with looping reloads, looping reloads were very weirdly buggy for a long time. It took a long, long time to get them working properly." - ↑ Joshua Sawyer on Formspring
