Sheila Brandice was the wife of William Brandice and mother of Will Brandice, who lived in the Brandice's house in Grayditch.[1]
Background[]
Sheila's husband William was a former Enclave member who deserted from Camp Navarro. She journeyed across the continent with him and their son Will, hopping from settlement to settlement in fear that the Enclave could be in pursuit. By October 2276, they settled down in Grayditch, hoping it would be for good. They quickly ingratiated themselves with their neighbors, Fred Wilks and his son Bryan.[2] Bryan remembers Sheila as a nice but quiet person who took care of him and his dad whenever they visited the Brandice family. Bryan noted that she always seemed sad when hearing that his mother was dead.[3]
Things did not end well for Sheila or her family, or anyone else in Grayditch for that matter. Giant ants had always infested the surrounding area, but they initially did not pose a threat. However, following the arrival of Doctor Lesko in Grayditch in Novemember 2276, they began growing more and more aggressive and even turned into fire ants.[4][5] With their safety growing more and more at risk, in February 2277, William began teaching Sheila and Will how to wield firearms so that they could protect themselves in case of emergency.[6] In the end, it did not help. By June 2277, Sheila and her family were trapped inside their house by the ants, unable to reach any of the others in the settlement.[7] Ultimately, William made his way into Marigold station and died there, while Sheila and Will simply disappeared from the settlement and are nowhere to be found.
