Sylvia Cooper was a denizen of University Point.
Background[]
In her daily life, Sylvia was part of University Point's town council and also farmed wheat (razorgrain) in the settlement.[1]
When Sylvia's terminal network port began to act up, Jacqueline Spencer offered to work on it.[2] While searching for a replacement, Jacqueline found a hard disk that contained pre-War research on reactor efficiency.[3] This caused conflict with the Institute, who soon sent agents to acquire the data. Sylvia was one of the first people to hear about the visit by way of an emergency meeting called by Bert Strickland, and was terrified that they had caught the Institute's attention.[1]
Sylvia loved Jacqueline like her own granddaughter and suggested to her father, Gerald, to flee the city and the Commonwealth before the Institute returned, but they did not follow Sylvia's advice.[4] While others in the settlement lashed out against Jacqueline for bringing the Institute's attention onto them, Sylvia instead sent an email as a consolation attempt, though it was instead deleted.[5]
Appearances[]
Sylvia Cooper is mentioned only in Fallout 4.

Note: Per dialogue script notes, Sylvia's mention of wheat was a mistake and should have been corrected to razorgrain. In-game, razorgrain can be found growing in University Point. - ↑ Sedgwick Hall terminal entries; Jacq's terminal, Mom's Birthday
