Is there a particular reason why the more comprehensible 5 + .5*st + .5*ag edit was instantly reverted? (216.21.38.170 17:37, January 5, 2012 (UTC))

the edit was done in line with someone else's suggestion on the talk page. currently the math is needlessly convoluted and unintuitive for what is essentially just half a point per agility and strength. fallout 3/new vegas is a bit better if only because they also provide tables.

More to the point, a lot of the formulas for fallout/2 are convoluted for unnecessary multiplication, like the (1% * some maths). Nowhere in any science that I can think of do you do something like that (i.e. 1 gram * some maths). The units are provided already in the left hand side of the initial formula, so the unit is implied. Adding redundancy in the example just adds more unnecessary information and slows comprehension. Just intuitively, which is easier to quickly read/calculate? 1% * (5 + 5)/2 or .5 * 5 + .5 * 5? or if decimals are too unfriendly, 5/2 + 5/2? (216.21.38.170 18:00, January 5, 2012 (UTC))

Images

Uhh... I can only say that I can zoom-in by clicking the right button and to remove the sub-titles I enter tm, as you explained. I will see in future what to do with images. As for the refID's, don't you need a G.E.C.K. for them (as I don't have a one)?

That includes the mess hall quests, Pvt Morales's quest, the discount from Dr. Kemp and some of Contreras's quests. I looked at the associated script and I can't tell what conditions there are for them to appear. Then again, I suck at reading scripts. Maybe you just have to start any of those quests for the script to start running. Also, here's a bunch of lines I pulled from the geck. Some might make a few decent quotes:

Question regarding blogpost

Hi Js! Since I'm not an able wiki editor, I was wondering what the reason for you to edit my blog post's videos was. One of them is now missing btw, so it's actually effecting the content even though I don't see what the codingchange does.

Btw. There seems to be an issue with the recent blog post page not showing latest updates and only going as far as december 2011, whereas the blog category page does indeed update properly. Can something be done about this?

Grrrrrr! This would've been great knowledge before I had already updated over 20 pages. I'm on Google Chrome so I don't have that, and I'm sure most people don't use Internet Explorer, at least in the States. I think for the space issue it's only for the Atomic Cocktail page, considering "Energy Resistance" and "Fire Resistance" are longer than the typical SPECIAL stat boosts. J, you need to get into the debate on the logos. They want to make the entire wiki bright red, and I know that won't sit well with you. Why are you not saying something? I obviously screwed up my new sig

Well, I guess that I thought I made my new signature properly, but I see that after I edited the new logo forum page the recent activity log shows that I added the actual graphic in my sig to the page. What the heck did I do wrong? It looks correct on the page, but I obviously screwed something up. I've think got the formatting for the sig in my sandbox if you could maybe take a look at it and see what I did wrong? Or direct me to someone who can do this better than I. Masterman467

That edit I reverted by him wasn't intentional vandalism. Some folks (including me) were discussing the seemingly incorrect crit% chance number in the infobox and he took it upon himself to try to get it to read what the geck number was. He shouldda waited until we figured out why the number was different, but he didn't mean harm. You may take that into account on his ban if you so desire. The Gunny 02:21, January 11, 2012 (UTC)

hay, the thing with the cz57 avenger, what happened was some one in chat was trying to find the right number to make the crit.% right.
