Abandoned military vehicle[]

"There is a abandoned military vehicle right of Sanctuary Hills, with a fusion core. "

What does "right of Sanctuary Hills" mean? To the east? East of what? The bridge? 80.12.81.14 10:51, November 16, 2015 (UTC)

Prima Games Description[]

What's the wikia policy on quotes for pages like this? My Vault Dweller's Survival Guide from Prima gives a nice little description of Sanctuary Hills. Problem is, I don't know how much is Bethesda, who I assume just had their name stamped on the cover, and how much are the writers at Prima. Still...

"Growing from the ruins of Sanctuary Hills, the prewar neighborhood your family used to call home, is a new settlement, a beacon of hope for the downtrodden and the new base of operations for the Minutemen." -VDSG

You can use it as a guideline, read it to get ideas and general information, but then use your own words to create some original content I think. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 01:58, November 17, 2015 (UTC)

Capitalization of "war"[]

I believe that all instances of a capitalized expression like "pre-War" in this article should be written as "pre-war" (See Oxford Dictionaries [1]) or "prewar" as suggested on dictionary.com [2].
I am aware of the capitalization of words in the case of certain events like the Second World War (in this case the Great War), but this definition [3] states that "pre-war" is written uncapitalized, even if referring to happenings before the Second World War. This means that this term should also be written as "pre-war" if we are referring to the Great War.
Please post some links referring to discussions concerning this topic, if there have been any (since I'm new here, I did search the wiki). I do realize that this way of writing has already spread through this whole wiki, but if this is not logically backed in any way, I will change the term to "pre-war", at least in this article.

Also, in the mission "Dangerous Minds" (example, since I'm currently in that mission), the subtitles show "pre-War" written as "prewar". Youtube: [4]

Changing the article title Sanctuary Hills to Sanctuary[]

I believe the title should be Sanctuary because that is what the location is actually called in Commonwealth and also on the map. Sanctuary Hill refers to the pre-war name and not the actual name in the aftermath of the Great War. --Worlds Apart (talk) 03:24, December 22, 2015 (UTC)

But Sanctuary is the name of an achievement as well. We need some way to distinguish them, and thus this one gets to be called Hills. --Xernoc (talk) 03:23, December 22, 2015 (UTC)

I understand that but when I type in Sanctuary into the wiki expecting to come up with the article of the location it instead comes up as a quest which is really bothersome. I feel like we could put (Achievement) in the title of the Sanctuary achievement which might make it less confusing? --Worlds Apart (talk) 03:26, December 22, 2015 (UTC)

Maybe like this: Tenpenny Tower & Tenpenny Tower (quest), so "Sanctuary" and "Sanctuary (quest)"?

Greyed out "build" option[]

Someone deleted the following:

Xbox OneXbox One The build function doesn't work inside Sanctuary (the button to build is "grayed out" (grey in color, and unable to be selected), even if you have all materials and the skills to build any/all products), even after you rescue the Concord survivors and resettle them in Sanctuary.

On the one hand, the bug is not restricted to Sanctuary, so it probably doesn't belong here. However, I can verify I've had the bug on PC. It appears to be related to having either a supply shipment or some junk that the build menu counts towards your available materials, but the game won't actually break down so you can use said materials. I haven't tested it thoroughly, but I could consistently use the console to directly add the missing material, open/close the workshop, then build the item until I needed to break the supply shipment down again, at which point it would stop letting me build despite claiming I had the materials. --162.252.201.32 08:18, February 4, 2016 (UTC)

New edit(s)?[]

Hmm, not sure I agree with all the new edits done by Retsonine. Here is the edit differences: [Sanctuary Hills edits by Retsonine] For instance, he inserted "a small footbridge" ("a larger bridge" was already present). I don't know of any such footbridge, if the larger bridge is not the aforementioned footbridge. What do you think? HalloweenWeed (talk) 17:38, February 16, 2016 (UTC)

I presume that's the small footbridge on the northwest side you have to cross right at the start of the game to get to Vault 111, as opposed to the larger bridge on the southeast side which leads to Concord. Aya42 (talk) 17:18, February 18, 2016 (UTC)
There were more things in his edit that I didn't quite agree with, but they were in kind of a grey area. So I asked for the opinion of others. HalloweenWeed (talk) 17:12, February 19, 2016 (UTC)
Well. Some changes were reasonable, but others look a bit dubious, e.g. "cul-de-sac" to "culdesac". I doubt anyone would've objected to reverting that edit, but it's a bit late now, since subsequent edits conflict. Aya42 (talk) 18:08, February 19, 2016 (UTC)

Vertibird Crash Near Sanctuary Hills[]

I can confirm the Vertibird crash near Sanctuary Hills, as it happened in my game (I'm on PC). I'm not sure this should be listed as a bug, though; it could be another random event. Gator Country (talk) 22:32, May 14, 2016 (UTC)
