After dropping off some gear at the Lucky 38 (and randomly gaining fame with the strip), she randomly approached me and asked if I would reconsider her offer to bug the network, as if I had already spoken to her. Very strange indeed. --Saphireking65 00:34, November 7, 2010 (UTC)
Lamest 500XP ever![]
Why the fuck does this quest award the player with 500XP? It's literally walk in, use computer, walk out and get a shit load of XP. This could hardly be called a quest, it's just a favor for the Disciples. It's not challenging in any way at all. It doesn't require ANY SKILLS WHATSOEVER, no minimum knowledge of Science, Lockpick, Guns, you don't have to kill anyone, anything, go really far, achieve something difficult, get experience with the game system, with VATS, with dialogue, maybe set someone an ambush, eavesdrop on a conversation, repair or spike a Securitron, etc.
Let's think about another side-quest for a moment: Return to Sender. We arrive in camp Forlorn Hope to help out and one of the many things the camp needs to get it's head out of the shit is update the radio codes. The player really has to go all across the map to visit the Ranger radio stations and deliver them. By doing so, think of all the places we can discover when doing that. All the NPCs. All the new enemies. That's when I first came across Cazadores and realized it was time to retire my 9mm pistol and update my gear. That's when I found the Combat Armor Mark II that I'm wearing right now. When I was done with this quest, I had gone up at least two levels, found caves, that huge ass scorpions nest, Salsaparilla Star Caps, I had learned to use my guns better, I had learned the importance of carrying/making some repair kits for emergencies, same with doctors' bags, I found Helios One and made a pit stop there to complete the quest, I opened up conversation options with mah boy Boone and with ED-E, I found out that the chief of the base was delivering wrong messages on purpose for what he thought was a good reason and in the end he blew his brains out, I stole his revolver, I sold his clothing for 3 caps, I could even go so far as to say that I grew as a human being, I meditated about life and death and our choices and old age and knowing when to admit that one must make room for other people... the list goes on and on. And in the end, after all of that and more, I gladly received 500XP. I thought it was fair reward for the things I had done to Forlorn Hope, to NCR and even for myself.
Back to this half-baked "quest" on the Strip. Leaving the 38 some non-descript biatch asks me to bug a computer, which as mentioned before is RIDICULOUSLY EASY EVEN FOR A LEVEL 3 CHARACTER. Then you walk out and she says "This thing you did that took an entire 14 seconds and ZERO brain activity to accomplish didn't even work. Oh well, nevermind"

This shouldn't be a quest, it shouldn't even award XP and if it did it should be something equivalent to killing a bloatfly or a rat, like 10XP maximum. I'm loving New Vegas even with all the bugs and crashes, but this is simply LAME. Now if you'll excuse me I'm off to find the Brotherhood of Steel to see if I can get trained in using power armor beacuse it's badass :) Assassinador 13:13, October 30, 2011 (UTC)

Barter check[]
It says in the article that the barter check is one of the few times your character's name is mentioned, but all I got was 'will I be getting any sort of... reward for doing this?'or something along those lines, but as far as I know, my character name is not will, I, be, getting, any, sort, of, reward, for, doing or this. --Level80Duckfish 20:10, November 3, 2011 (UTC)Me
I just went through this, with a high enough barter to make the check.
It said "Dr. Sinister Game notices a lack of mentioning caps" or something.
