How does this questline affect your companions? I've been with NCR up until now w/ Boone as a companion, but this quest essentially has me joining my own side. Will Boone leave/threaten to leave if the quest goes far enough? Thanks!

Im fairly sure Boone will only leave you if you join up with Caesar's legion - he says he wont work with you if you work for Caesar's legion after all, although I cant say for sure as I haven't tried it. I did this with Lily as a companion and she was fine.

Boone will only leave you if you have negative reputation with the NCR. You must have mixed repution with the NCR, like Wild Child or Soft-Hearted Devil, in order to get Boone to stay with you.
