Wish List.''

Right, wishes:

  • Co-op
  • Content and quality over graphics.
  • No HUD or hardcore mode with no HUD. For instance compass could be integrated to pipboy and iron sights work for shooting.
  • No quicktravel (or no quicktravel in hardcore mode), instead caravans or other means of transport should be available. Caravan travel (or guard duty) could involve random encounters (Fallout 2 style).
  • Remove VATS for firearms (or return to roots and make Fallout isometric again), shooting skill and perks should affect how much weapons sway, recoil control and reload speed. Possibly even abilities based and heavily affected by skill, for instance better stances, efficient dual wielding (pistols or even heavier weapons) and improved modifications (as in, you just know what would make gun better).
  • No unlimited ammo on NPCs.
  • Ability to customize the entire body of character: Height, mass and mutations. (Imagine slightly deformed sturdy midget with a minigun...now that would be sight to see)
  • Bring back proper doctor & first aid skills! No more magically healing bones after good nights sleep. And speaking of sleep, some sort of sleep deprivation might be nice (sleeping only few hours per week is plain silly).

I only have three words: New York City. ~Abe Froman

I enjoy playing fallout for hours but with New veges, however I can only play for like 20 minutes before it crashes(more common higher the level). I would rather sacrifice a bit of everything for better game play. As for the amount of weapons and mods i think you hit the perfect amount with the added on content from the Gun runners arsenal. so i can't complain there really. Playing as a different race would be an idea i would like to see. as well as possibly a ride able horse(if the dog can remain unaffected by rads why not the horse). how about being able to see multiple weapons on character ie{rifle back, hand guns side, knives on belt, ammo belts, a back pack appearing to carry some of your stuff, having some pork n beans showing a water bottle a rifle but sticking out(got some deep pockets). also a few more normal looking hair styles wouldn't hurt . lastly how about being able to play your own music via the pip boy. Don't get me wrong Dean Martin,Frank Sinatra and the Ink Spots are amazing with the theme and should stay but it would be epic to hunt some death claws to your own costume playlist. P.S and example of the backpack thing look at the book of Eli movie with Denzel Washington.

summery 1. less crashes, more game play ( i will accept some level of sacrifice) 2. keep number of weapons and mods 3. different playable races 4. horse 5. making playable character more customizable ( bandoleers, more visual weapons on char, more hair styles , backpack. 6. playlist?

fallout four should have dirt bikes Harley and sports bike but also cars and all cars should have different fuel rations like a old muscle car should be more than a modern toyota also a multiplayer but seprate diferent leveling but they sholud have npcs costom houses and cars plus guns and when u level up dont get a new gun get level just like in normal mode

Fallout 4: Go back to the roots. Vault born, vault problems, west coast.

My fallout 4 wish list: Optional race/species (I would love play as a ghoul or super mutant) Co-op Some sort of gun that shoots radiation like a radiation ray gun (it's gotta be big, automatic, and look like the gatling laser) More upgrades That's it but especially the radiation gun that would be the coolest gun ever

My only suggestion for Fallout 4 is better graphics. I enjoy the mode and time frame of the game as it is. I would not add any vehicles to this game because it will take away the exploring part of it. I would also limit the types of weapons but the ones that can be used in the game should be able to last a little longer before needing repair. For instance, I usually carry the sniper rifle, assualt rifle, .44 magnum hunting pistol with scope, RCW rifle, 12 gauge shotgun, and any mines and grenades I can get my hands on. The thump-thump definitely comes in handy.

I also enjoy having a companion with me in the game but I would enjoy having more options with the companion so that there is more interaction. For instance, I would like to be able to have him/her flank a position or move ahead toward a target while I flank from another direction. I also would like to be able to tell my companion which weapon they are carrying would work best for a given situation. Stealth would be another great option to use for commands to a companion. Anyway, I'm sure you get the idea where I'm coming from to tweek the game for more realism. By far, Fallout is a terrific game because it can be almost never ending if you really take your time while playing it.

Fallout is amazing and what would make it even better would be an online multi-player type mode. Similar to Fable, where your friends could come and check out your house or just go around slaughtering towns together.

Besides a lot of the obvious stuff mentioned, two things I'd really like to see:

(1) A ghoul based storyline. To date, all of the Fallouts have been a vault dweller or BoS type, but I see a lot of storyline potential revolving around a badass mofo like Charon. Better yet, if the game is expansive enough, the ability to pick between multiple start points and races (a raider in a tribal town, a BoS initiate emerging from his barracks, a ghoul leaving a ravaged Necropolis, an intelligent supermutant trying to make sense of his existence, and, as always, the classic vaultdweller) and have their storylines and sidequests intersect (but give each race their own main quest).

(2) As far as I'm concerned, FO4 should drop fast travel but give access to MULTIPLE vehicles with pros and cons. There doesn't need to be anything airborne like a Vertibird, but, say, the ability to pick between a slow Pack Brahmin that can haul tons of gear; some kind of faster Yao Guai or mutant creature (horse equivalent), and, of course, some kind of superslick Mad Max motorbike that can ONLY be maintained through constant scavenging for HARD to find fuel/parts. 98.111.129.119 22:36, January 13, 2012 (UTC) Walbert

We need better DLC, like weapons from other games (skyrim, killzone, .hack, or gears of war). Also with all the radiation didn't they ever think to give you character abilities like... shooting fireballs from your hands? one last thing, 4 words, BAD-ASS-ARM-OR. i mean armor like the DS2 advanced RIG or Halo master chief armor or even a plain old suit of armor. anyone else agree?Ryusenka16 15:53, January 13, 2012 (UTC)

How about we think of shit within the realm of reason. Also, can we stop asking for more sniper rifles? Love, --Joshua Grahamcracker 17:31, January 12, 2012 (UTC)

I'd be quite happy with it running half decent. Not a 6/10 gameplay and 10/10 sound and artistic merit, for an overall rating of 8 out of 10, but a 10/10 in all areas, gameplay being the most important something always lacking for some reason with the other aspects carrying it.--Carinth 01:36, January 13, 2012 (UTC)

i think that they should drop faction armor, it ruined your ability to wear all the cool armor without annoying the side that you liked (the side that looks cooler always looses) second they should make fast travling more like in Fallout 1&2 to make area spacing more realistic, and last off they should have a large amount of followers like in Fallout 1&2

CO-OP AND VEHICLES!!!! that is all everything else is perfect! maybe have controls and hip shooting like SOCOM U.S. NAVY SEALS

My Fallout 4 Wishlist:

1.vehicles perhaps a motorcross bike or dune buggies like in RAGE let their be attachments like spiked tires or better vehicle armor or gatlin guns on the back

2. more pistols

3. more knives swords and things , i really liked the concept of being able to sneak weapons into casinos and just kill everyone like in New Vegas lol 4.more rifles with scopes , so that i may snipe people from a distance

5. more nuke detonations

1. useable vertabirds

2.squad control

3.freindly fire

4.hijacking vehicles

5.suicide bombs

wishlist:

Dear creators of fallout, I wish that fallout would look to stalker for inspiration on some matters, such as where your character is no better than that poor guy with a shotgun who wants to rob you. I want the game to exist besides the fact that you're there not because of you. A world that seems so much more gruesome and are a lot more random occurances that aren't scripted. All of those neat upgrades you can buy. The list just keeps going on and on. Plus radiation should be a little more of a factor then it is now. Fallout new vegas felt like a cowboy game not a post apocalyptic game. And I'm only saying this because I want you to get better. -Jollytjerry11

1) more customized weapons and armor/clothing. Make the repair skill factor into this. As an example, in Dark Cloud 2 you could take pics of objects and combine proper combos of pics to make an item schematic. This could be done with the repair skill. The higher your skill, the more options you have to make things.

2) More enemies...like the catfish lurk that never made the light of day

3) Have companions be more involved, quest-wise, like the willow mod

4) Bring it to the florida wasteland, a swamp wasteland with different nasties than point lookout i.e. catfishlurk (I'd love to see what radiation would do to alligators in the fallout universe)

5) PLEASE KEEP THE EXP GAINS FROM NEW VEGAS! That made you feel like you were actually experiencing the world...exp for completing part of quests, killing certain types of enemies, using certain weapons, etc.

6) put more depth into unarmed and melee combat (ex. like hitting a certain button when a yao guai swipes at you, causing you to slide under and slashing the stomach with a sword or something (related to the melee skill...the higher the skill, the fancier the counter)

7) allow for modding unique weapons. make mods specifically for unique weapons.

8) allow player to pick up ammo shells after firing. This will allow for a really cool ammo making.

9) allow coop for offline splitscreen and online 2 player.

10) VEHICLES or RIDEABLE ANIMALS ````

Wishlist for New Vegas:

Wish list: 1)Vehicles with or without weapons attached. 2) More variety of guns. 3) More parts of the body that can be equipped with clothing (feet, hands, etc.). 4) Online 5) Co-op mode on same system or online.

1)CO-OP 2)Custom vehicles, gunz n followers 3)Customizable house 4)Gang wars with other people 5)Different looking weapons or let us design them 6)Update quests constantly 7) CANADA!!!

1) Hookers

my wish list: My biggest annoyance? Special Weapons (e.g Xuanlong Assualt Rifle) do not have different models. I would be very happy if Bethesda didn't cut the corners and make cooler looking weapons. I also think that you should be able to create your own gang, do more customization, and deff. a bigger map. I wish there were more like "dungeon diving places" where you can get lost for like an hour. Co-op would be pretty sweet. I also wish there were bigger battles. Like Temple of the Union x4 - Paulwmert

1. a bigger map- sure there were plenty of buildings to search but traveling from one point to another just didn't seem long enough 2. to make up for the larger maps you could put in vehicles. 3. CO-OP mode online or offline 4. more weapons like more types of pistols, machine guns, and energy weapons. 5. when you buy things for your house you can chose where they go 6. you can join a raider crew or something like that. in fallout 3 i always thought you should be able to join raiders or talon company or even the enclave. 7. make your own gng and you can recruit people. 8. more companion types like you could tame Yao Guai)(Paulwmert changed it) or death claws or by a tamed one for like 2,000 caps. 9. perhaps beable to choose a race ( i.e. super mutant, ghoul, or human) and have a different story behind each one.

i want fallout 4 to center around a ghoul. you grow up underground in a milatarized subway system of ghouls in l.a. or something. its like a ghoul metropolis and youve never even been into the wasteland because the brotherhood, enclave, and raiders/slavers hate ghouls. so throughout the game you deal with predjudice as well as the normal fallout violence. but the main thing is along the way you can learn how to create sturdy reinforced humanskin light armor that looks like your a shirtless person from a distance but up close you can see the stitching and stuff.

My wish list:

1. Co-op with people on and offline. 2. more lvls 3. bigger map 4. more sniper rifles 5. more mines 6. more schematic weapons 7. better schematic weapons 8. different enemies 9. schematics for armor 10. a place that is yours, like a vualt or fort, that you can upgrade deffences and stuff. 11. smarter AI 12. have a death claw as a companion :) 13. your companions are smater 14. your companions can do specific things, like disarm traps. 15. you can use a bat to knock grenades back at the enemy, it would be a VATS thing, and you would have a certain percent of hitting it. 16. you can have three companions 17. you can obtain a filter that will reduce rad on your food. 18. you can make your own stimpacks 19. you can get a special diver suit that allows you to breath, and take no radiation, when in the water. 20. You can fly a verta bird, and it has weapons. Stimpack 20:35, October 12, 2009 (UTC)stimpack

Be cool if we could get motorbikes and become leaders of tribes and stuff—Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.17.183.135 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

I think making custom made cars or bikes would be very interesting and having an arena like in the pitt, only theres no radiation barrels and you fight other people over xbox live depending on your level and you don't lose weapons and stuff, just yur dignity if you lose to a 12 year old retard lol. Also being able to mount miniguns or gatling lasers on little turret stands would spice up combat

This, pretty much. In Oblivion we had a horse, why not some kind of transport in Fallout? --71.166.32.253 09:45, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

have armys of slavers and ghouls—Preceding unsigned comment added by Alfie90000 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Fallout 4? Hold your horses, man. Why not a New Vegas wishlist? Anyway, I want to see 100+ new weapons, as well as a ton of old ones. Broeman 10:49, 22 July 2009 (UTC) Cars. First of you have to find one which can be repaired. SECOND you have to get some type of fuel to it (microfusion cells, energy cells like the highway man in FO2), then you have to add to it for example you could add miniguns, gatling lasers, rocket launchers etc

I want to be able to climb over low barriers and large rocks. Oh yeah - and I think a world that has energy weapons could also accommodate compound bow technology. RMH

Seems to me like we need a wishlist for New Vegas and Project v13 before FO4, an as of yet unannounced game, is even contemplated. If either New Vegas or "FOOL" uses the same repair system as FO3, there needs to be a way to repair everything, like using scrap metal and/or fission batteries to repair the T-51b or other rare power armors, fixing unique non-powered armor with something similar to it such as fixing The AntAgonizer's Costume with Combat Armor, and more reliable methods of fixing rare weapons like gatling lasers at high levels. (Although Super Mutant Overlords spawning are a good supplement for gatling lasers, they are not a perfect solution especially considering the ammo investment required to kill them without a Shady Sands Shuffle.)

Beyond that, New Vegas and FOOL need greater involvement with factions. In New Vegas you should be able to join or take over one of several organizations either through quests or via killing a leader and declaring yourself the new boss in the case of nihilistic or "might makes right" groups like raiders and Talon Company. FOOL's guild/clan support should allow a player-run mercenary company, settlement, or gang that's made significant strides in progression to become an actual force on their server, complete with a base, guards, an emblem and other stickers to permanently place on equipment, ranks and other prefixes that can be displayed with one's name (like "Star Paladin <Some Dude's Name Here>") and possibly even randomly encountered patrols for other player factions to kill and loot. FOOL servers need to be something even more mutable and dynamic than any previous Fallout game or anything seen in any MMO previously. When somebody in the near future asks on a forum what FOOL server they should play on, being told "they're all the same just pick one newb" should not be an acceptable answer, in my humble opinion, as all the servers' content should be at least partially player-driven. --DGoose 22:23, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

I demand my West Coast Brotherhood buddies and Mutants. Also, Oblivion-styled leveling system. "Level 20? NO PROBLEM! Punch a guy a billion times to raise your Unarmed skill!" AlbinoTitan 01:25, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

My wish list:

  • More varied environment types. Add-ons alleviated this a bit for FO3, obviously. I just don't see why every industrial basement is identical.
  • As aforementioned, easier and better explained repair. PipBoy 4000 should tell us what can be used to repair what so we don't let our Gatling Laser fall apart, unaware that it can be fixed with Hunting Rifles or whatever. It doesn't make much sense to me why guns that are very similar can't be used to repair eachother either. Laser Pistol/Laser Rifle essentially similar, no? Their appearance suggests so.
  • Unarmed/Melee/Explosives(by and large) are kinda useless after a certain point in the game. Given that deathclaws have no ranged attack, ie, stand right in front of you, I would have expected my Auto Axe to do something. I know they have long arms, all I'm saying is that guns or mines were basically the only option, as it was for anything stronger than say a Super Mutant Master.
  • Speaking of which, a bit more varty between Super Mutant classes would be nice. They're supposed to be at different stages of Super Mutant evolution, right? Given that Super Mutants are created by doing something to captives, it makes sense to me that weaker 'younger' ones would look more like humans. Maybe having them wear ripped clothes like Fawkes and retaining some patches of human flesh would be one way to do it. Maybe a quest could be based on stopping Super Mutant 'procreation'. They mention 'green stuff' if I remember correctly. I imagine helpless captives tied up and covered with clumps of radioactive/HEV-soaked moss or fungus or something. And then there's the huge gulf in size between Behemoths and all other Super Mutants. They growth may as well happen overnight for all we see in FO3.
  • More major divergence in quests based on good/evil choices. What if we really did side with President Eden? Our choices in FO3 seem to mostly come down to a green dialogue box, followed by verbal praise or a scalding. Seemed like a shame to me.
  • Less glitchiness. Seriously. Add-ons shouldn't add on errors. If anything the opposite should be true. Some decent playtesting would have caught most of them. Maybe they should do RCs like Windows do.
  • Half Life 2 had a couple of vehicles. They really livened up the gameplay. In a FPS that's so exploration based and covers such a huge area, maybe finding a working motorbike wouldn't be a bad thing. Give it a sidecar so that we can take companions, and that'd also solve the issue of people taking it where they shouldn't - it'd be too wide.

Just my capsw'th. 90.201.91.94 02:07, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

  • Firstly, some of the shit you people come away with is simply degenerative. I admit many of your point are valid and I totally agree with them but on the other hand, WTF!
  • To the person below me :| Just wow man, "They have like 5,000,000,000 technology". If you struggle with the enclave why dont you knock your game difficulty down a notch, to like Very Easy. And considering the fact Bethesda bought the rights to fallout why should they change important parts of the fallout universe. Would you ask George Lucas to remove The Jedi or sith after the 3rd film?
  • I absolutely agree with DGoose on matters though, Control off certain factions would definately make the game more enjoyable.
  • Im not so sure about vehicles, to be honest you have fast traveling perhaps if the map was bigger then vehicles would be considerably more important. Right now it doesnt take much more than a couple days of game time to traverse the entire map, providing you don't get eaten.
  • I would have liked it more if bethesda and changed some aspects of fallout to resemble oblivion,I understand why they didn't though. As with FO and FO2 the skill points and perks etc... is a part of fallout.
  • I think bosses would have been nice, Super mutant behemoths, Overlords etc... I guess could be put into that class. But all things considered the actual "Bosses" were pretty pathetic, Autumn died with a about 4 headshots from my plasma rifle, And that was on hard I think. And the leaders of factions are also easily dealt with, Jabsco for talon company etc... euology Jones for the slavers.
  • I think if FO3 had online play, it would have to be cleverly devised. and positively huge. I would love if it were possible but it would quite possibly be absolute shit.
  • I feel bethesda should have tooken more time over this game, Ironic considering how long they spent making it but, having player testings to notice the uncountable lists of glitches, would have improved the overall game.
  • I also think there is a few balancing issues with the game. Some things take more damage than they should others deal more than makes sense etc...

Ok ummm dude. Pip-boy 4000. Seriously. Thats just plain stupid. What we want is, no Bos, they suck and apparently require 1 PERSON to kill the whole enclave. They have like 5,000,000,000 technology! Outcast are fine, but no more mutants and enclave. They are old, and a total rip off (atleast in F03). But, like Albino-Titan, west-coast FTW. And Marcus should be brought back, acting as some sort of sheriff (hehe). And a new faction, BETHSEDA-MADE STORYLINE, BETHSEDA-MADE EVIL FACTIONS OR SOMETHING. Not some old rip off. And of course. Freedom. Join this, join that. NOT BEING FORCED TO JOIN A CRAP FACTION.

You're fairly obnoxious, aren't you? The Pip-Boy's model number changes between games. In Fallout 2 you had the Pip-Boy 2000, and 3 had the 3000. It's reasonable to assume a fourth installment might have a Pip-Boy 4000. Also, the Brotherhood is a pretty huge part of the Fallout universe. Unless a Fallout 4 game took place in an area very far removed from the East Coast, West Coast, and Midwest, the Brotherhood would have to have finally finished their decline and died out to no longer be in the game. And, except for the BoS and the Enclave, all of the named factions in FO3 are Bethesda creations. I do agree that Bethesda should make its own villains, though. Talon Company hired by a non-Enclave "President" Eden to help him conquer and bring order to the Wastes could have filled this role with some more development. Jabsco was pretty tough for an optional boss, and would have made a much more challenging final boss than Autumn. I also agree that factions need to be joinable. I shouldn't have to pretend to take over Talon Company by killing Jabsco, equipping myself with Lag-Bolt's Combat Armor, and giving Jericho the Talon Combat Helmet and some matching Talon Combat Armor. The game should really recognize me as their leader, LIKE A BOSS. --DGoose 04:45, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, +1 on choosing your own side/faction. Add even more to the replay value -- it could feel like a completely new game a few times over. Also, no game ending after the final main storyline quest. Had I not gotten in to the game as late as I did (DLC was already available) and I found out that all of a sudden my character was unplayable before my last manual save I would have been pissed. Also, level capping sucks. Even if I don't get anything for it, I want to see the number raise because I'm OCD like that. More weapons of course. For some reason I don't like the idea of vehicles. It might work in another incarnation of the game, but with fast travel available it seems unnecessary. Wvurxgal 04:51, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

I'd have to disagree with AlbinoTitan, I think the Fallout 3 way of leveling is really good. I really dislike the Oblivion way, It's to hard 2 increase the skills you want 2 like lockpick or destruction without either breaking about 1000 locks or killing heaps of people with destruction magic. Also, you can kinda abuse the Oblivion way of leveling as i did like so; Make alteration a major skill, get a lock spell (such as open very-easy locks or The Unwelcome Guest) and just stand infront of a door and repeatedly cast the spell and get levels up really easy. I agree with ^^^^ In that a Pip-Boy 4000 should tell you what you can repair things with and I also agree with everything DGoose said. Silent.Killa78 07:23, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

300 skill cap, lvl 80 or 100 cap. perks every other or every third level, you gain +10HP for every third level aswell. Gabriel Cortez 15:22, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

Wvurxgal, you are so right about at least continuing to gain levels, even if you don't gain anything stat-wise. In fact, I've been waiting for a mod like that to come out for some time. Something else I'd like to see is a return to the original FO2 leveling system, which in my opinion worked much better [but then again, a level 99 cap would make the other leveling change pretty useless]. Broeman 17:27, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

The motorbikes can be fueled by flamer fuel

For New Vegas or what ever the MMO's name was I want a motorcycle or better yet the ability to fly in an enclave Osprey. The Osprey could be fast travel with some sight seeing if that does manage to crash the game I know that's not the real name but that is what it's based off. Of course new weapons and new armors with some of the old stuff added in.Doctalen 20:11, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

Better dialogues AND History, Fallout 3 is sometimes an insult to any average educated person.

  • First the world doesn't appear to be 200 years after the war, is three of four decades the most.
  • The Dunwich Bulding is a perfect exemple of waste of time. The atmosphere is very good, the diary's hints are awesome and the end is simply terrible! Is that it, I find a guy and have to kill him for somewhat reason?
  • A real Karma system. On one ocasion i was heading to Red Racer Factory, when I find some boxes and loot them (the color of them was green, I was not stolen from someone). Then out of nowhere a Scavenger appear with a Yao Guai yelling "this tech is mine" and open fire in me. No need to say I have to kill him and the Guai. Guess what? Yes, I received bad karma! So, people open fire in you and you can't defend yourself, you have to run away? (This is a random encounter you idiot)
  • Oh yes, "we don't wanna cross the line, so children are immortal". So don't put them in the game! Or in the event of a nuclear war do you people really believe that children will be "spared"??? (You have some serious issues dude, the game shows children dying quite a bit you just dont get to commit mass slaughter against minors yourself deal with it you sicko)
  • I really like the world bigger or less crowded, like the Old Honey, Republic of Dave, Greener Pastures Disposal Site and Grisly Dinner cell. If one of the animals, robots or Raiders see each other, they attack each other. I don't buy it having Feral Ghouls in the main metro plataform and Raiders on the railways, living quiettly in piece.
  • I don't have anything against exploding cars, even in real life they can explode. But the explosion is bigger than the Mini Nuke! Some consistency wil be good. - Actually the explosions do seem normal. As the cars in Fallout 3 all have some sort of fuel cell technology. So when they blow up, it's like a small Mini-Nuke.
  • Some difficult levelling up your character. Try this: upon leaving the Vault put 7 in the Intelligence, 6 in Luck and Agility, 6 in Perception (or Strenght, your choice). Since advancing from level 3 to 5 is real easy and fast, you end with 10 Inteligence, the Educated Perk and Comprehenssion just in level 7! Is a piece of cake making a lot of distribute points. The only resort is applying a mod or raising the difficult, wich is too absurd: a simply Raider with a Chinese Pistol can kill you even if you have a Recon Armor.
  • I nuked a town and I'm well received in any other city of the game? It will be OK then if a convicted murder in probation was invited to your house, right? (The wasteland has no system of law and order and how is the other city going to know it was you use common sense you spaz)

And I don't have anything against VATS, like many people, I only wish that the camera was more smart and you could recieve damage while in it(Dude Ive fucking died in V.A.T.S) . Brfritos 09:40, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

If you are a vault dweller who has to leave his/her vault ( most likely wont be) when you do leave the vault you are instantly presented with a bleak, desolate, harsh exsistence for the rest of your life and in the distance you hear gun fire, explosions etc , i mean in FO3 you leave the vault everything seems rather tranquil.

This is so pathetic, I'd love to see a corpse detection device. Something along the lines of a metal detector but for flesh. I'm thinking it would be a lower-level perk. Also, it should only detect corpses that you/your follower killed, plus anyone dying in a battle that you participated in (or watched NPCs be killed.) The bodies could be tracked by placing a marker on the lower left hand compass, so long as it's not red or green of course. The mark would go away when you're pretty much standing on the target or begin to loot it.

Maybe I'm just blind, but I lose track of defeated dudes all the time. Even if it's light out, I've walked up to several small piles of rocks thinking it was someone with heavy armor. I usually just give up, but dang it I'm a hoarder by nature, I love looting anything I can! Wvurxgal 10:57, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Umm...Brfritos, you DO understand the concept of the game, right? I'm referring specifically to your gripe about the cars exploding. The Fallout universe suggests that the Atomic Age came to fruition, thus locking pop culture into the iconic 50's setting while people turned toward making better advancements in technology. Everything was nuclear powered, including the cars. So, it makes sense for the cars to explode in such a manner that it creates a mushroom-cloud =P Hope that makes you enjoy Fallout more, if anything it's something to dislike less than you currently do, if that makes sense. We Are The Archers 11:08, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

But I enjoy the game, I really like Fallout 3! Only because I made some points about things doesn't make me a hater, doesn't? Or we cannot disagree about something? And I agree, since everything is nuclear power moved it makes perfect sense the cars should be it. But I don't think something so dangerous like this explosions will be allowed one day. And what a about eletrical power? I think that make more sense if the cars were moved by eletric power, so when you open one you find microfusion or energy cells. Brfritos 01:17, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

I didn't mean to imply that I thought you hated the game lol otherwise you wouldn't be on the site. You just seemed negative in general in your post. Electric power would make more sense, but again, the whole series is based on the Atomic Age. It's pretty much what people in the 50's thought the future would be like, and they thought everything would be nuclear powered, not electrical. We Are The Archers 01:56, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

LOL...I didn't mean to be aggressive and "hate" was not the best chosen word to describe what I didn't like it in the game. Sorry for that. But Dunwich Bulding really disappoints me. I mean, I enter the building with the Ghoul Mask and I was shiting my pants! :D The atmosphere was great, it really scares you. The noises, the dark, the voices, everything. Finding and searching for the rest of the diarys was very cool. But I feel cheated in the end? That's it, kill a guy? Why not search for something to break the spell or to save him, for example? I think it was a much better ending for that mini-quest. Brfritos 03:08, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

We NEED The Commonwealth and Ronto. It's been mentioned and know needs to be put in there. Vehicles A somewhat Justice system for minor Crimes (Stealing ammo or something results in a fine.)No Jail though. Killing somebody makes everybody hostile. Making settlements and choose what they are like. (Evil Raider hole or a holdout for Slaves.) Bringing in stuff for the town and your town being destroyed if attacked. Being able to join the Raiders. Better Karma System Becoming a Ghoul, which opens a really difficult quest to become De-Ghouled (Somehow and drains your wallet.) Caps not the Currency. Even if Nuka Cola was the country's best drink and all Alcohol had caps on it, there is a limited supply of it. More companions. Like there being Crappy ones, Okay ones and Awesome Ones, they all are all not as good as you. (Example: Dogmeat Surviving a MIRV Fatman Blast at Level 30. Or Fawkes being Virtually unkillable and let him kill everybody without you lifting a finger...at level 30.) Companions that don't level up with you. Killable kids(WTF dude go get help you sicko). But gives you a large amount of loss of Karma, like the Child Killer Reputation which screwes you over through plenty of stuff. Reputations. More then Fallout 2. Maybe 13-20. And good or bad stuff happening when you get them. -[[User:Jake Smith|The Mercenary]

My List:

1. Some sort of faster land or even possibly air transportation. Not saying a car or even like a motorcycle, maybe something like sprinting or a mountain bike. Just something so you don't have to travel for 10 minutes across the map to find a location. 2. Much higher cap level, say 40 and much more innovative perks. I find that i often don't know what perk to get, as none of them were exceptionally good after getting the good ones at level 15. 3. I totally agree with choosing your own faction. It would honestly give the game triple or quadruple the great playing experience. 4. Higher AI intelligence, so they don't get stuck behind a rock every 5 minutes, or stand out in the open and get eaten up by a heavy incinerator. Especially BoS during The American Dream. They hardly do anything ( besides Liberty Prime, duh) except die. 5. Definitely killable kids. The kids in Lamplight were so annoying that icould not help myself but shoot them multiple times, but like the person above me, massive Karma loss and the Child Killer perk that screwes you over. 6.Sneak assassination move if you are within 10 feet undetected of an enemy. This would give a whole new edge to the stealth factor in this game. 7. Defintely more effective melee and unarmed skills. After about lvl 10, they are completely ineffective unless on the easiest difficulty. Say for unarmed, much faster hits than anything else and a with a martial arts perk or training double the damage would be great, and also melee weapons training, like you can do technique styles where speed is key, (agility) or strength where massive haymaker strikes come in to annihilate your foes. Same goes for unarmed. 8. By far the hardest, most innovative, and definitely unlikely; Make your own settlement. Have things where you can make it an open unwalled settlement, or like a post-apocalyptic neighborhood like Canterbury Commons. Or make it walled like Megaton, or innovatively like straight uniformed walls, have customizable skins, like brick or sheet metal or like a sleek black enclave style, and have rules set down, you know, houses for rent or buy, shops so you can have a direct income off it, and if you are extremely rich, make a metro to connect to other metros in the area and in inaccesible areas for more traveling, and hiring guards, a military force, and eventually owning multiple settlements for an empire. However unlikely it is that would make Fallout 4 one of the the top 10 games ever easily.

one of the most irritating things in fallout is you cant sleep in an owned bed even if you kill the owner of the bed you cant sleep their and also even when you are welcome in ta town or city you cant sleep in the sleeping quaters guest rooms barack ect!

What they really need to do is make levelling up characters a much more DIFFICULT choice, I could get all my skills maxed out by level 13 at the earliest and level 18 on a very hard game. Whats the point in it being an RPG if I can max out all my skills? Similarly for the mini-games like lockpick and hacking, there should be a variety of skills allowed such as repair for hacking so you could twist wires and override the system or melee for lockpick so you could break a lock, this also means you will be able to choose more freely what points to distribute when levelling. Also, being evil should have serious advantages, just like being good in Karma, so:

  1. Harder choices when distributing points on level up so you shape your character and NOT make him into a jack-of-all trades
  2. MiniGames should have more skills attached to them
  3. Being evil should have more payoff
  4. Tribes should have more communication between each other
  5. You could be affiliated with certain tribes, this also draws reactions from other tribes, e.g. you could do missions for BOS/Outcast, rise in ranks but if you get caught doing both sides, you get fired etc.
  6. Less repetetive enemies evrywhere I travel (how many radscorpions must I kill?)
  7. Better dialogue/reactions based on YOUR status from NPCs, (can you take me on with my Gatling Laser and T51-B, in your pre-war costume idiot?)
  8. Perhaps scenery should change over time, e.g. BOS fortifying an outpost or Raiders adding their lovely gore to one or even something like enclave getting a metro station ready for train travel...
  9. More use of speech/Barter (diplomat) skills other than their usual uses - e.g. luring out enemies (maybe?)
  10. Settlements should be better equipped, have more people and they should generally be doing stuff-like working/scouting etc.
  11. Harder quests, e.g. not just run-n-gun but sneak-n-speak type thing
  12. Finally enemies should be appropriate to storyline, Hicks should not be easier to kill than fully armoured Enclave soldiers (I know because the DLC was released later but you get my point)
  13. Smarter AI: like flanking/sneaking on you and no suicide rushes (especially companions)
  14. Better Degrade system/Repair system
  15. Better, well thought out perks and much more choice. I know which ones to pick because half are shit and the other half is all thats left - make it harder to choose.
  16. Karma should have more effect and it should be harder to change it than giving water

Fallout 4 should be called something else xD - It probably will. The story shouldn't be a rip-off from the fallout series but Bethesda's own (like in Oblivion). They should improve the 3rd person view camera. I play the game in 1st most of the time but when I am traversing the Wasteland in 3rd person and see a raider, do I really have to switch back to 1st person all the time. (I don't all the time but most of the time xD) Make the game HARDER, MUCH, MUCH HARDER. I play on Very Hard and I kill most things, excluding the Behemoth obviously, in 2-3 shots. Raiders in one and even deathclaws in 3. I should feel like I am struggling to survive using every little aid I can. When I finished the game I ended up with using only 50 stimpak. I mean really ONLY 50. This is with well over 80 hours into the game and all the side quests having been done. I wish the game was LONGER. Oblivion had well over 50 quests and fallout 3 has only half of that (excluding DLC). Honestly, if you had the same time to finish the game (4 years) shouldn't you have the same number of quests at LEAST. Sure the quests have more depth but the game was TOO short. There should be more DLC. A lot more. Sure with Fallout 3, we had a few but why did they stop with Mothership Zeta which is arguably the worst Fallout 3 DLC. When I finish Fallout 4, I will obviously be wanting more. So why not continue with more DLC. Don't just stop with 5 but go to 10, maybe even 15. I mean what's wrong with that? Your still making money, right xD Lastly, the game should have a better ending... Fallout 3's ending wasn't all that great. When I finish a game, I want to feel like I should start the game anew to get the most out of the game. So in simpler terms, the game should have multiple endings like in Mass Effect. One good ending, one bad, and one in between.

I wish Fallout 4 was online. Maybe even an MMORPG, lol. Least have an online part of the game. Just CTF or Team Deathmatch would do. Disable VATS and have a seperate perk system. You should have an incentive to keep going. So a leveling system with ranks and unlockable weapons would be awesome. I'm sure Bethesda would scratch the idea because of the cost to run servers. So why not have a small fee in addition to Fallout 4 (Singleplayer). So basically the online version would be seperate. It could cost 2-5 dollars a month to run or cost 50 dollars to buy. Something along those lines. Not to pricey, I hope. Fallout 4 will be MASSIVE. Twice the size of Oblivion and Fallout 3 combined xD Bethesda should have a much larger team to work on the game. And they should be given as much time as needed. Fallout 3 looks amazing so graphics should look as good as they should 2-4 years from now. Please fix the in game settings for the game. In Fallout 3 V-SYNC was forced on. So the average player didn't know how to turn it off. Performance dramatically affects the playability of a game. I mean look at the PS3 version of Fallout 3, didn't sell as well as the X360 or PC did it. So as I said earlier, give the player the option to turn V-SYNC on or off instead of having to manually set it off. Lastly, I hope the game comes out earlier. I don't want to have to wait 4 years for the game. That's why making the development team larger would make it possible to release the game earlier plus having the ability to put more content into the game. Another upside is that there would be more DLC available. Sure more people mean more money to spend but in the long run with more DLC, you'd be making more money.

What I want! -Better customizable character -Vehicles -Better customizable weapons(scopes, clips, stocks) -Online(Duhhh!) -New York!!!!! -Better story(not the guy who does everything, and in the end gets *The thanks of the Wasteland* WTF? -More weapons(better) -More Clothes/Armor(better) -Able to get 4 followers on purpose ....Well, im done ranting! --FalloutFreek 21:16, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Heres my list i know some of it may be repeats of previous post but w/e more they hear it more they think about it.

  • Transportation
  • clans groups what eve but more things like the family.where you go underground n find a grop/gang of people
  • ability to join that group or kill them
  • group identety ie. style clothing hair styles somthing that just says ohh thats the ________gang.
  • larger citys.they say rivit citys the biggest but when your in there its still doesnt feel as big as they make it sound.
  • ghoulification like the vampirism in oblivion comes with ups and downs both physical and emotional ie.peoples reactions abd no radiation damage maybe even rad healing
  • weather/season im thinkin like maybe there could be dust storms maybe rain (I been in space n looking down on the earth i saw hurricane clouds so it seems possible)
  • greater karmatic reactions.I liked how when i was evil slavers would praise me and give me junk but thats it.
  • more recogintion like in oblivion how people would say stuff like wow the hero of bla bla bla. but yeh more of that from people
  • difference in specail weapons. all the specail weapons olny have differnt name not any visual diffence.
  • more civilizations of non hostiles

I love fallout but now that im done i would like to see these in the new one :)Wastelandzz Finest no.1 04:18, 13 August 2009 (UTC)User:Wastelandzz Finest no.1

The system used to vary facial appearance with sliders was great. It would be nice if they developed a similar one for the bodies. As it is, even the pampered people in Tenpenny and old farts like Arkansas have the same chiseled physique. Either randomizing it, or tying it in to age and SPECIAL stats, would add some realism. Plus, if they could do that, allowing you to vary from a skinny tall guy to a short, fat guy or body builder type, it might be possible to implement the creature bodies the same way. Then you'd be able to see every stage in the supermutant evolution from FEV infected human to grunt to behemoth. 71.141.119.13 08:38, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

I want fat people and little people(midgets) 81.234.140.17 12:50, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

i want weapons that look real and characters and the background look real life as in real...feeling like ur actually in it..... also maybe were u can lvl up to 100 and be hard to kill

FalloutFreek, wait a minute, in one sentence you said give Bethseda as much time as they needed, but then you said you don't want to wait 4 years. WTH make up your mind. About the body changing, i agree but i think a big fat guy should have some stealth disadvantages and smaller, more agile people have disadvantages with say strength, etc. etc. Seasonish 01:11, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Why the fuck is everyone ranting on about stupid transport. It would spoil Fallout, it should always be a RPG, not a bloody driving game. Why the hell would you put a gatling laser on a highwayman for crying out loud, you have to be having a bubble. All they need to do in my opinion is work on the type of game they already have and improve it, make the quests much more depthful and give a hugely customizable player. For example , I have always wanted to join a faction besides the Brotherhood of Steel.I want to be able to discover something I have not known about ever before and do this everytime I play fallout. I don't want an amazing armour that practically makes you invulnerable but I want one that actually competes with something like the Ranger armour and Lag-Bolt's. I don't want new weapons, just maybe unique ones that are not easily stumbled upon or requires a hard quest. Maybe Besthesda or Obsidion could upload new mini encounters and quests in new updates as if it were a apology for the bug/glitch. Also I would like to be able to have a job maybe as a mercenary or an assassin and have a new target in the wasteland every so often. Or even a inside spy working for the Enclave, something creative. :P Consider these thoughts people, its not forza motorsport with 1950s cars.Hazadragon 00:00, September 2, 2009 (UTC)

1. Playtest the next Fallout a LOT more. Fallout 3, as good a try as it was, is riddled so full of glitches, bugs, missing animation, terrain, collision detection, physics engine mistakes... I could go on. Everyone knows what I mean. It ruins the illusion of reality when I walk up on a rock and see it doesn't meet the static terrain mesh, or kill a ghoul only to have it start spinning randomly in the air. Or have object meshes randomly start jittering, or fall through the ground. Fallout 3, all versions, seem very, VERY rushed. Like Bethesda basically was on such a tight deadline they basically said "eff it" and released what they knew was a buggy piece of software.

2. I concur with other posters: we really need smarter AI for allies and enemies. I know I sure don't just run out into the clear firing away while my enemy stays behind cover, picking me off from a distance. Deathclaws show a tad of this ingenuity, running away from you then hiding around a corner. But most mobs will just be like "HAY GAIZ LET'S GET 'EM" once they detect you, and make a Gettysburg charge at you. I don't say this often, but that's RETARDED. The feral ghouls and non-sentient animals can be forgiven for doing this, because of course they are incapable of planning strategic attacks.

3. Make children killable. I mean seriously, this is horsecrap. You put kids in the game, you can shoot at them, the implied violence is already there, Bethesda. Just let us roast 'em. Let the damn parent groups handle it after the fact. I know at least 3 of the little fuckers I want to make eat some .44 rounds in Little Lamplight.

4. Not everyone in the world is an ideal body weight. Another person said body types should be varied, I definitely agree with this. Kind of a gripe I had with Oblivion too. The world has fat people, really thin people (probably more of these in a post-apocalyptic world), muscular people, and just average joes (and janes). All it would take is 4 or 5 separate body models.

5. More varied environments, please. It's not bad when you've only seen a few tunnels and buildings, but after about 20-30 of them, stuff starts to look awfully similar. It feels like I've been running through the SAME train tunnel, and the SAME utility corridors, and the SAME ruined buildings all damn game. I will give credit that Beth made a few special locations unique (Underworld, the museums, the vaults to some extent), but after awhile, I lost the will to explore, because I knew essentially what awaited me.

6. More unique ways to solve problems, and maybe even destructible environments. Because when you think about it, all character interaction boils down to is a few options: a. I convince you to think my way, b. I trick you into doing something, c. I steal your crap, d. I'm your "gopher", or e. I kill you and take what you have. How about some hostage situations? How about some depressed people about to kill themselves, and you have to save them? How about some openly hostile people you can talk down and make peace with, maybe even a raider? How about, instead of finding a key for that door, or picking the lock, you make your own door with a missile launcher or grenade? How about just blowing up that entire building of super mutants instead of going inside to fight them room by room?

7. Just a little final one here that really bugged me: make it so you can sleep on the couches, maybe even chairs. I mean, give me a break here; you can sleep on "makeshift bedding" which is a piece of slimy cardboard on the ground, but you can't sleep on a nice, comfy sofa inside a building? Derpa derp. Same thing with owned beds. Especially if the owner is dead. HE DOESN'T CARE ANYMORE. Even if you're satanically evil, for some reason you still have the morality to not mess up some dead guy's bunk. RETARDED.

Just some thoughts. And remember, don't feed the yao-guai. Nightweaver20xx 04:43, September 2, 2009 (UTC)

I like your list, pretty much summarises a lot of problems that FO3 have. If you want suggestions, I only have two: could I please give 2 steps without bumping into something? Heck, the place is called "Wasteland" for a reason, but you encounter all sorts of things in an very constrited space. Also, Bethesda needs to pay A LOT more attention in the continuity department, there a lot of complains simply because of that (for example, Mr. Crowley says after you discover his real motives for killing his target list, that will pay you the full price if you bring him the keys, no matter if you kill or not the target. But when you give him the keys the old choice is the only available). Brfritos 09:32, September 8, 2009 (UTC)

How could anyone NOT want vehicles???? While fast travel is handy, I would sacrifice it completely for vehicles, it would give the game a much more realistic feel and add a whole new element to gameplay. I agree with another poster here, it would be cool if it was regulated in some way, perhaps needing fuel in the same manner that guns need ammo (that sure would make those random gas stations more interesting, wouldnt it?). Plus, think about how interesting it would be to have fuel as a valuable resource, much like water in FO3? Finally, I leave you with these two images and I challenge anyone to refute their absolute awesomeness:

1. Blasting through the desert on a motorcyle, perhaps even popping a few raiders with a one handed weapon while driving(wouldn't it be GREAT to actually give a one handed weapon some kind of ADVANTAGE over the generally more powerful two handed weapons???) Also think about how cool the first person view of a post apocalypse harley would look.

2. Roaming bands of Mad Max style raiders on converted jeeps, army trucks and bikes, roaring through the desert on a killing spree, taking out towns for fuel, food, and general pillaging.

The Defense rests.

I can't fathom how some of the editors in this thread came to the conclusion that melee/unarmed were not useful after a certain level. On normal difficulty the high-end close-combat weapons such as the Deathclaw Gauntlet, Shishkebab, Super Sledge, Jack, Fisto, and Plunkett's Valid Points can kill almost everything in 2-3 hits if you've got the proper perks like Pyromaniac, Finesse, Better Criticals, Iron Fist, Paralyzing Palm, and Ninja. And this is all just stuff in the base game. Throw in Jingwei's Shocksword, The Dismemberer, Man Opener and The Mauler for those melee'ers who aren't Pyromaniacs. For deadlier melee enemies like the Deathclaw and Albino Radscorpion, there's the mighty block, which reduces a significant amount of melee damage based on your skill, and of course VATS. That's all I really have to contribute. I said my piece on pretty much everything else. Oh, except vehicles would be dumb. Have some patience and run where you can't fast travel, enjoying the random encounters along the way. -Schneidend 02:47, September 15, 2009 (UTC)

Samurai Sword + Better Criticals + Ninja + snider version of Survival Guru put a Super Mutant Brute on the ground in one hit, with skill 80! In level 20!! And without the cheater perks Superior Defender/Ghoul Ecology!!! How anyone can say that melee weapons are bad is beyond me. And you don't need cash for ammo, BTW. ;) Brfritos 17:07, September 21, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks to whomever delete my suggestions. Thanks a lot. LJ Carrion 19:34, October 1, 2009 (UTC)

wasnt me. im new here n my only post is at the top. what were ur ideas? -the_failure

I want my enemies to be more plentiful. I want to sneak up on an encampment/ town and see like 150 raiders. Some things should be very very tough.

Also, it would be cool/ scary if you could get critically hit every once in a while. Some dude sneaks up behind you and blasts you in the head with a combat shotgun? YOU SHOULD DIE, or at least be very near death. I want the game to get tougher as it goes on, not easier.

Character speed should be variable. I don't need a car or motorcycle if I can have a character that can really run. Make encumbrance affect your speed as well.

Give me more clothing options, and a better way to view my character. Make the pip boy high def and have a screen that shows you as you change clothing, armor and weapons. I want my character to look cool as hell, and I want to see it without messing with the camera. And, I really don't care that a high def pip boy doesn't fit into the feel of the game. I have a 56 inch HDTV and I want the best graphics possible, not something that looks like it was made on an Apple IIc. LVTDUDE 00:53, October 2, 2009 (UTC)

I'm not sure if anyone has already said this but I would love to see a different location like China, and a better weapon customization would be nice. I think that being able to make your own drugs, weapons, armour, even vechiles would make the game more realistic. There should also be a wider varity in compaionship choices.I'm not sure if you can already do this online but I think it would be awesome if you could start your own gang and challenge other gangs to fight while also previding you gang with a cool hangout.Skittle 3at3r 22:30, October 6, 2009 (UTC)skittle 3at3r

Beating things to death with your gun would be nice.--Atlas Lied! 06:36, October 9, 2009 (UTC)

how about joining the raiders if you wanna be evil

I like to see more people in fallout 4 because 1000 people is just not right taking the fact that 200 years has passed since the great war and beth can program 750 000 npc's. --Adopted Techno 19:20, October 12, 2009 (UTC)Adopted Techno

... Do you really think that Beth would be able to program 750,000 NPCs into one game. Even if they could, what the hell would be the point? All except a couple of hundred of them would have generic dialogue. Go play Daggerfall if you want to see why that doesn't work. Broeman 03:45, January 11, 2010 (UTC)

i think there should be a hunger thing where if u dont eat or drink for ages u get like all dizzy and weaker(cus u can not eat in that game for years and be fine) as well as being tired if u dont sleep.really just more relestic things.

Having more factions for you to join (ala the guilds in Oblivion and Houses in Morrowind). Setting the game in the UK (london is the obvious choice), the whole world was nuked you know, not just the US. As for the debate on transport, horses didn't mess up the Oblivion gameplay did they?

My wishlist... Hmmm... how abooooouuuuuut... 'VAULT GOD FRIKKIN DAMN 77'!!! So many stories, just no Vault! --Fool out (Nastia) 14:33, October 15, 2009 (UTC)

My wishlist:

Being able to start your own settlements, or at least build your own house. In fallout 3 you could have ONE house. In Fable II, you could have hundreds! Even in Oblivion, you had over 10 houses to buy! Creating your own vault, or taking over Vault 101, or wherever you happen to start the game in would be cool too. The returning hero given control of his home town, or the tyranic dictator comes home and kills then repopulates it. Surely not too hard to do.

All Merchants should have 100 repair skill, or a certain mechanic shop should be able to repair your weapons to 100%. It's stupid that most merchants only have 15 repair skill when your character has 100, and yet you still have to trek around for parts to repair it!

Either take out the scrap metals, and other useless misc. items, or allow them to be used in building something, or repairing something. Scrap metal lying all over the place is stupid when the most you can do with it is trade it to the Ghouls for stimpacks.

You should have the option to embrace the radiation, or to modify your body genetically, like a more stable FEV. I hated the fact that you HAD to play on the side of the "normals". God knows very few gamers are normal! Not enough choice for an RPG.

More imaginative perks, and less of the skill ones. The Mysterious Stranger made no sense, where as the Lawbringer/Contract Killer and the Cannibal/Vampire perks made a lot of sense. After all, the Loner is just trying to get by right? More survival perks, and weapon ones instead of the useless ones like "Here and Now".

Leveling should have no cap. I want to see my skills and perks all gotten! I'm a perfectionist, I NEED to get it all the way. The level system in my opinion is fine if it was made an insy bit harder to get xp. Not as many huge xp rewards for quests.

Shorter, but many quests. Like the Oblivion, but more choice.

Vehicles are a go. Or at least a sprint. You spend so long running around you hardly have time to play, and in the end, most of your stimpacks are spent on super mutants on the way to the location, and you end up sc3wed for the mission.

And perhaps actually integrate the add ons into the game? I'd like to see The pitt coming up on the horizon, and the swamp on the other side of the Basin.

The skills go up differently, part leveling, part hands-on similar to oblvions skill leveling, with fallouts chooseing some during a level up. - RASICTalk 19:51, December 15, 2009 (UTC)

Pack Brahmin. No brainer. Load it up with your stuff, have it wait outside when you raid buildings and such. And a hunger system was mentioned, with ill effects for hunger, yeah, good'un. Differing levels of hunger perhaps, basic hunger, dizziness, that vision blur effect on occasion, general stat loss. And then, if nothing is done, starvation, large stat loss and gradually sapping health. Maybe include thirst, the game refers to it as a tactical choice due to radiation but no one really minds, add thirst and the choice between healthier forms of water such as bottled and worse forms such as puddles really matters depending on availability. Better AI, of course, mainly for followers. Ghoulification sounds intriguing, with benefits like rad resistance and disadvantages like prejudice. Maybe include a tough de-ghoulification quest that involves surgery and chems or something. Weapon repair with basic scrap is a must. Transport is a tricky one, sounds cool, but could ruin gameplay. Easily understandable for enemies and other NPCs though, trucks full of raiders, that would rock. Riding about on mutant animals perhaps, slow Brahmin or big ol' bugs. Remember those mechanical horses? Ah, I joke. Brahmin pulled wagons and caravans sound like fun, rob 'em highwayman style or escort them for cash, maybe ride in one and shoot from inside. Townspeople actually doing jobs would be good, and maybe more characters similar to the player, just wanderers, doing deeds and selling stuff. Visible detriment to damaged clothes and weapons would be nice, rips and tears, bullet holes, burns, rust, that sort o' thing. And I really wanted more big stuff. Bossy type stuff. Maybe random missions in towns could appear to hunt down and kill a particular nasty thats harassing caravans and attacking livestock, like a huge scorpion or a scarred old deathclaw, maybe with collectable trophies. And a big water monster, just for kicks. Maybe its in a quest where some boatsman is getting trouble off a huge mutant croc or a mirelurk alike thing. That would just be cool. (Tim)

Cars with MadMax style fuel: only one place has the fuel, and you have to either pay a lot, help them a lot, or fight a lot (and still pay a lot) to get it. Fuel could be nuclear, gasoline, crude oil, or biomass (brahimin dung, all that food you don't eat)
Morrowind style factions. You have to have the stats to be in the faction, no oblivion bullshit thief-warrior-mage characters unless you're a true jack-of-all-trades. Benefits for being in a faction: custom vehicles for raiders, fuel for cars for the oil pumpers/uranium miners/brahmin farmers, weapons from BoS (like Fallout 1), food from Vaults/Rivet city like settlements.
Deeper storyline. Once again, look at Morrowind, Bethesda! Oblivion was OK, and Fallout was altogether disappointing. I mean, I played the same story in F1 two months later! Morrowind had a deep, complex, and lenghty storyline that the franchise desperately needs, along with tons of side quests.
VARIETY. Morrowind: Vivec, Tel Mora, Bramora, Seda Neen! Oblivions cities were fantastic too! Fallout's were too small and had barely any quests. I want to be a part of F4.
VARIETY V2 I am sick of everything looking the same. Once again, look at the variety of Morrowind and Oblivion and contrast it with fallot.
Finally, I would like to say that Fallout>TES because of nukes and guns. And hopefully cars. I want that detailed Bethesda feel that made it my favorite game studio.JK1464 01:50, December 28, 2009 (UTC)

What the fuck would a bored little teenager do with CTF in a fucking RPG? This isn't Rainbow Six, it isn't Morrowind, and hopefully Bethesda won't slap a new layer of paint on the whole goddamn FO3 engine and call it "The Fourth!" You don't need a car, you just need to move faster. You don't even need to join a faction unless the fucking LONE WANDERER motif is entirely removed in the sequel and you turn into another tribal cunt born into a neo-native refuge in the middle of the endless desert. What's the average length of a video game? 7-8 hours if you even finish it? Well shit, then it doesn't make sense to say a hundred hour game is too short AND expect a release within two years of predecessor's release. 69.180.203.154 14:18, January 3, 2010 (UTC)

MY WISH LIST: (this maybe would suite FOOL better)

1. To begin with NO side quests until the main quests are finished.

2. When the main storyline is completed online co – op is enabled and so are side quests.

3. The side quests are than split up into 2 categories; 1st being co –op quests the second other side quests (NOTE; no side quests are enabled until main story line is completed so that the player gets to play on online co – op sooner) and the 2nd kind of side quest can only be done with people on your “friends list” or by yourself.

4. The online side quest will include quests such E.G.1. the player either dicides guard or attack the caravaners (if you are the one attacking the caravaners then someone else will be guarding them), E.G.2 or taking out a raider base (once again if you are the attacker someone else will be the unsuspecting raider who could at the time be waiting for the other raiders to come back from attacking the caravaners while he or she watches over the base).

5. Other types of side quests can be left like they were in FO3.

6. Also players should be allowed to choose whether to be a ghoul, human or a super mutant.

7. If one chooses to be a super mutant their choices in the game are limited as it should mostly consist of kill and capture humans (capturing humans should allow the super mutant faction to grow stronger as for every human that is captured should be added on the number of AI controlled super mutants in the game). However if one decides to become a ghoul or human, they have the choice of a career such as; raider, mercenary, brotherhood of steel, enclave, trader, hunter, scavenger, slaver and settler (inspired by the settler mod).

8. These careers should be the only main sources of income AND that these are careers that you choose after the main quest and that you can choose another one later e.g. become a raider then decide to join the brother hood of steel (if they except you that is).

9. Transportation should be in the game. However like someone stated above it should only be able to run on fuel such as energy or microwave cells. However functioning cars should be rare and considered extremely valuable since is could be used to transport either supplies or an armed company of players (especially if a truck could be used as it could transport tons of food, water, raw materials and even over a dozen heavily armed players at the same time while covering 10 – 15 miles in just minutes.

10. Considering how valuable transportation would be there is the potential for large scale player battles over just one vehicle.

11. The environment should always be able to be destroyed like exploding a house. But there should also be the option to build houses or shelters with any wood, metal or stones. This would be useful for settlers. (What would be really cool would be if the player had a shovel they with some help could start a tunnel network).

12. Should be able to go to sleep any where that is safe for the moment (don’t know how sleep will work in the game when online).

13. Should be able to die of thirst and hunger.

14. NO - ONE absolutely no - one should be able to carry 15 different weapons on them like in FO3. Everyone at the maximum should only be able to carry 1 melee, one side arm and then the choice of either a type of rifle/shotgun or a big gun (and 2 or 3 grenade things).

15. And finally of course more weapons that can still are used to repair other ones if they are similar kind of weapons.

16. BIGGER MAP!!--MangooseGod 20:26, January 10, 2010 (UTC)

First of all, NO CO-OP. Think about what Fallout 3 would have been like with co-op or multiplayer in general. If you weren't alone, in my opinion, you wouldn't really experience the game as thoroughly as you would if you were. The game wouldn't hit as hard, or stay with you as long. The same goes for a sequel. Borderlands is the closest thing to Fallout with co-op, and while that is a great game, your teammates and the need for teamwork get in the way of the atmosphere. My point is, you wouldn't have as much freedom. Also, I do not want any vehicles: they would keep you from noticing the little things, the beauty of the wasteland, items, sidequests, locations, and easter eggs, because you would be going too fast to notice. Fast travel is enough. Broeman 03:02, January 11, 2010 (UTC)

1.one thing i don't think anyone mentioned that I'd like to see is like an online trading system where players could sell their unwanted loot to other players online kinda like dead frontier kinda system but way better

2.more housing locations

3.every weapon or Armour can be repaired with something

4.also building your own house or buying on would be good should have a edit mode for your house kinda like a halo 3 forge kinda thing

5.alot more side quests and npc to talk to and interact with --User:zombieeater6000 5:40, January 12, 2010 (UTC)

My wish list....

1. A composs that shows what type of place you'll find (settlemant fort etc.)

2. More weapons...I don't mind having special versions of normal guns minor changes would happen over time...

3. a lot more "war zone areas".........like...... where talon companoy is fighting super mutants....

4. Chosing how the past games have effected the game....(Lone Wander didn't put FEV in the water aqua pura is availble)

and of course mod support for ps3 and xbox users

i will continue later my necks getting sore

I would like Linux compatability, it would be very helpful! Metalfrenchtoast 14:17, March 6, 2010 (UTC)

  • Less skill points; Seems like a odd request but Comprehension+ Educated+ Tag+ Intence Training gives you a Character that can do preatty much everything by the lvl cap. No need to specialise or replay. Makes picking perks that don't give raw skill increases foolish.
  • Character traits; It Can be fun to try and work around a traits weakness and utilise the strengths. This rolling up traits in to perks was kind of boring.
  • More Scematics.
  • Makeing repair use scrap metal or a similar item. Utiliseing a salvage/ Dismantle system.
  • Better save system; instead of a list of saves you've made make it so you pick one of your characters out of a list and continue on from that characters progress. This will make it so people with multiple characters don't have to go down a list to find each character (as currently saves that have been over written bug out) This is would be a bit more eficient.

Other then those few points the games perfectly fine gameplay wise.

Some Fun things to add some peopel have mentioned them already.

  • Vehicles; Make it so you can fuel it adds a money sink to the game gives you something to spend those caps on.
  • Epic enemies; Huge radiated enemies randomly encountered in the wasteland big enough to ram your vehicle and turn It or gib you if you arent prepared. Think a Yauo Guia Deathclaw Hybrid thats 15 feet tall.

since things are already in motion (2 days away omg =D) there's only a few things i really want in new vegas for sure, one a viable combat system where it isn't a pain to run and gun without vat's which according to many reviews, there is, 2 id hope for more fairness along the lines of even rewards for being good and evil, like in fallout 3 being evil got you...what, i mean really, a pretty good pistol and the bos trying to ram you through with anything possible, meanwhile u get the crappy enclave as ally's, also a noticeable downside to say, killing a entire city, which i did in fallout 3 one day when i was bored, left the place, gave about 20 gallons of water to the nearest hobo and walked away being the "messiah" yeah...that's not how it works, lol at the very least make guards more attentive of you if you have low or evil karma, and likewise less weary of you if you have good/high karma, and of course there's the evil hide outs where vice/versa still above all i have one request...don't be as glitchy as fallout 3 was when it was released!!!!! i mean my god, it was like 4 to 5 patch's before i was able to play for 10 minutes without freezing, falling through map, having my companions spontaneously combust, or have some other bs dumped on my head, seems like alot but seriously, i just want to be able to play a game without worrying whether or not ill be able to use vat's with the railroad rifle due to its high chance to kill the "world" Toolazytomakeaaccount 08:31, October 17, 2010 (UTC)

The protaganist actually talks? Or perhaps the ability to sprint faster and take cover using a simple cover system, you now like just crouching on cover them simply fire and aim just to make the action more sexier and also a new engine, to have large gun fights you need a good framerate and lets admit, Gamebyro aint the best engine around. Maybe ID Tech or Renderware. Not Unreal, every game uses Unreal tech. Also don't have the next Fallout in USA... Some game sites even said UK or Australia and Canada for Fallout 4! Still getting use to the Forums.

(Mastererium)METALLICA :D 12:15 12:17 AM, October 18, 2010 (AEST)

First off, I think that F3 really turned Fallout upside down. I started with f3, and as its own game it holds up pretty well. BUT when compared with the other games in the series, F 3 seems more like an action-adventure game than an RPG. To me Fallout is not a co-op, vehicle driving action game . I like VATS in F3, but it seems unfinished. Why can't I fight a battle completly in VATS?

I DON'T want co-op, online ,or vehicles (Only 1, akin to the Highwayman in F2)

Gah people stop asking for realism !!! if you want realism , GO AND LIVE YOUR GOD DAMN FUCKING LIFE AND DONT ANNOY GAMERS WITH YOUR STUPID WASTE OF TIME REALISM SIMULATERS !!!! I loved Fallout 3 and i absolutley HATED the rest because of their emphasis on Realism Games were never made to be realistic , they were made to escape real life and enjoy something else , something impossible , But its people like you who have ruined the gaming industry for people like me , We have to deal with your bullshit realistic shooter rubbish , This is what i want in Fallout 4 : 1- a not Forced realism aspect , much like vegas , so that i woudnlt have to deal with it while others could , so hardcore mode is good to go :) 2- Make the game a little more difficult and it will be perfect 3- MENTION FALLOUT 3 SOME PLEASE!!! i have had it with NCR and Caesars leigon , i want to hear about Liberty prime and the super mutant behmoths , i want to know what happened to the BOS outcasts , I want to know what the lone wanderer actually chose to do , instead of hearing the vault dweller and that other guy A hundred times in a row , 4- let bethesda make the game , leave obsidian out of it , 5- side quests like Fallout 3 , instead of doing the same unintresting thing for the same unintresting person the whole , make sidequests be cool , well thought out , and fun to do , instead of new vegas's MILLION BILLION POINTLESS ERRANDS idea 6- Keep the game serious , like how FO 1 And FO3 did it , instead of FO 2 and FO:NV's joking attitude , Nuclear war is not a joke , Fallout 3 took that in and made everybody miserable and desperate , yet A tiny bit hopefull , While new vegas was flashy and stupid and jokey filled with lights , casinos and who knows what , I mean they could have just called the game Vegas , as there is nothing new about it ....

Codysmit

more super mutant behemoths

My Fallout 4 wishlist

No more Radscorpions

Vehicles (Car, motorcycles)

Different species (super mutants, ghouls)

Starter Facton ( Ex. start as Brotherhood of steel)

.:My List:.

1) More custom weapons and custom models for these weapons. 2) More companions and am improved way of handling them. I never felt that they were part of my "party," or team. 3) More depth for melee combat. 4) Keep VATS. Do not destroy it as in Fallout: New Vegas, but tweak it so that you don't become the Wasteland God when it's activated as in Fallout 3. 5) Repairing weapons should create some kind of spare parts, right? 6) Improved weapon mods. 7) A larger, more varied game world. 8) No Co-Op. No. 9) Variety with the Super Mutants. 10) Good and evil choices should have a huge effect on the game. 11) Make joining factions useful. Fallout New: Vegas had the ability to join factions, but I felt that it was drawn out and provided little to no benefit. 12) Bosses. Not just named foes who die with ease, I mean real, difficult bosses with some good loot. 13) The ability to become a ghoul seems to interest many players. Not a person taste of mine but it could be added. You could add a cure or a serum that gives ghouls and/or mutants the ability to reproduce... haha. 14) Improved Third-Person view. 15) More character customization. 16) Give a choice that drastically effects the game. Make it a single choice, many choices, or what-have-you. 17) Improved enemy AI. 18) Cover mechanic...? --98.198.83.12 08:12, January 12, 2012 (UTC)

i want some thing like a continuation from fallout 3 using mothership zeta as a vehicle.the reason for the vehicle being the world is open to u not just some small city or state but the whole country that would be awesome espicially with a carryable teleporter to the ship like fallout new vegas dlc. i like jacks of all trade characters but make it where you dont get them till you reach the level cap.better perks not unusable ones. like others said id like customizable settlements so you can make empires. make the other countries citizens the enemies making whatever the country you choose at the beginning as your home country. make certain npcs able to lead. but mosly like other people said. but online multyplayer with many people like dc universe. but i would also like solo player too.72.216.58.117 13:04, January 12, 2012 (UTC)evilucifer

JT More realistic sneaking, like shadows affect NPC's line of sight, similar to Skyrim. Also, leveling up skills by doing them. EX lockpicking increases lockpick skill. Less spread on guns, and slower condition degrade. Ability to make weapons and armor. Deathclaws need to have some sort of weakness. Ability to sprint. More realistic weight, such as Misc items weigh less. Owned houses. Vehicles to drive. More factions to join. More side quests. Honestly, the next fallout needs to be more like skyrim. Keep vats. Vats is very helpful.

) MY WISH LIST
  1. 1 Get Rid VATS

WHAT ID LIKE TO SEE IS... -ITEMS RESPAWN LIKE THEY DO IN SKYRIM AT SET TIMES OR WHEN RELOADED UP -MORE GUNS/WEAPON MODDING AND BLUEPRINTS LIKE IN FALLOUT AND DEAD ISLAND -GUN ATTACHMENTS LIKE IN BRINK(SCOPES, SILENCERS, GRIPS, AMMO TYPES AND MAGAZINES) -VEHICALS LIKE IN RAGE AS SAID BEFORE BY SOMEONE ELSE WITH MOD LIKE GUNS AND ARMOUR -MULTIPLAYER LIKE IN BORDERLANDS(UPTO 4 MULTI WHERE THE ENEMIES AND ITEMS RESPAWN EVERYTIME YOU SAVE AND RELOAD) -MODDING OF ARMOUR LIKE IN SKYRIM(BUT NOT MAGIC LIKE THICKER/ELECTROED/MAGNETIC) -KEEP THE RADIATION IN IT -MORE WILD ANIMALS/AND ENIMIES TO KILL -KEEP THE VATS SYSTEM IN OR GO MORE REDDEAD REDEMPTION/SKYRIM WITH A SLOW TIME TARGET SYSTEM

my wish list. 1. you can have as many companions as u want & be able to have create your own gang or even fraction. something like opting for independent quest.

2. i hated when playing New Vegas you could opt for a combo of Independent & NCR or Legion. like you control Vegas & earn money from casinos & work with NCR, letting them live & do there business & working with them by letting them use securitrons in battle & such. i think you all get drift of what im saying.

3. your super mutant companion can carry more then any of your other companions, i mean its a super mutant! come on.

4. you can own a store/caravan company, like by restoring an old building & sell items you find savaging at full price instead of going around trading & such.

5. continuous game play between games so u can keep same character & go back & forth between FO3 & New Vegas buy using a virtabird & it could be a quest like the Outcast Brotherhood wants you to reconnect with Brotherhood in West or something. (i understand there 2 diff game companies but its just an example)

6. another good idea would be to completly redo FO1,FO2 & Tactics graphics, adding 1st/3rd person gameplay option then re-release it, dont mess with storyboard or other game play abilities.

7. Multi-player would be nice but playing alone doesnt bother me.

8. vehicles would be nice to like a Truck so u can unload items into it after scavenging.

9. more customization options.

i could honestly keep going & going here. to bad there isn't a way i could work directly with the creation of the game.

Vehicles. Honestly, the horses in Skyrim showed that Bethesda can, actually, do vehicles well. Maybe making your own motorcycle (seriously, they're all over the place, but I can't fix them>? Even though I have motorcycle parts?) that can store some things as well. I don't even need it to go that fast, just faster than my pathetic walking, and it also would make iot so I don't fqast travel everywhere.

Sprint. I loved the sprint function in Skyrim, and it would really help

Vaulting/climbing. It's frustrating when I try to jump up somewhere and the ledge is right in front of me, yet my character can't grab onto it and pull himself up. Something like the system in Crysis 2 or Battlefield 3.

XSpectreGreyX 21:49, January 12, 2012 (UTC)

  • I love Easter Eggs and references toother games and movies, and there should be more. I also think it should connect to the last 2 stories well, like it could have alot to do with the aftermath of 3 and Vegas. Also characters from previous games, more unique weapons, more unique armor, and maybe more customization, like for bases and weapons and such. I think it should be somewhere that the previous games have mentioned, like Ronto, Canada. Canada would have lots of interesting things, like new terrains, new animals (mutant moose?) and enemies (Mutant Mounties?) and Nuclear Winter? Also Canada was ravaged by the war, and didnt the Death-Ray from Zeta hit Canada? And im thinking a descendant of the Vault Dweller or Warrior would be sweet. And maybe your character could be related to or linked somehow to the Courier, since he/she has traveled alot. They never did explain all of his/her backstory, before The Divide. And I always thought the Quaere Verum mentioned in Zeta deserved a better appeaerence, maybe they could be reformed by Enclave deserters, and become the good version of the Enclave, with like siilar outfits and such. And maybe (limited) vehicle use, and the ability to tame animals as companions. And the option to be a ghoul would be cool. In Elder Scolls u can choose species so why not Fallout? And a new species, like some new type of ghoul, would be nice. Or like a human, but like Ulysses with his wierd eyes and skin. AND MORE NUKA! EntertaynMe 22:48, January 12, 2012 (UTC)

WISHLIST

This proably goes against what most everyone else wants, but I'd prefer Fallout 4 to be more of a Fallout Tactics 2 game continuing on that storyline where the Midwest Brotherhood begins to link up with the Capital Wasteland Brotherhood and have the same motives as the first Fallout Tactics game ... Iron-Fisted with a bit of the benevolence of the Capital Wasteland. If people remember, the Midwest Brotherhood had ghouls, Super-Mutants, Reavers, and even Deathclaws so pretty much all races would be playable, and there could be same serious over-arcing story involved. As for weapons, there's no need to get overly creative, but since all the endgame content is always tough as hell, give us some Gauss weapons ... but don't make them crappy.

Some features that would be necessary for this...

Co-Op, craftable ammo, vehicles (not tanks or APCs, just dune buggies and moto's)

My Wishlist.

The amount of guns were fine, but there's always room for more, and it makes it even more enjoyable if you've got even more guns, coz you can just never have enough. Not too sure about vehicles, due to seeming a bit unrealistic and just taking away the exploration side of the game. Graphics could do with a slight improvement, and some physics improvement would be great to see aswell. (Smoother jumping/running, that sort of thing.) Heaps more gun attachments and modifications, as well as more craftable ammunition. Varying map terrain if possible and suitable. Alot more towns, friendly NPCs, and more enemy encampments would be nice. Or they could just forget about Fallout 4, and just work on and release Fallout Online already???

Wishlist

1. Firstly- It is set in 2277, but it looks like everything is untouched- stimpaks in hospitals, ammo in the National Guard building- honestly, if it was 2078 surely that would be the first place any self-respecting survivor would go, not to mention remnant military forces, to get ammo and to see if there were any survivors. It looks as if it is 2150, at a stretch.

2. A bit more variation in clothing. Like the really good uniforms mod- U.S. officer, Marine Dress Uniforms and an RAF officer uniform in the Citadel/Pentagon for example- also any Combat Armour found in Army bases should say Army Combat Armour and have a star and serial number.

3. THE MAJOR POINT- ANCHORAGE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A SEPERATE GAME! I loved Anchorage, absolutely loved it. But when it finished, and I was thrown back into the harsh world of post-Apocalyptia, I was yearning for more- and why stop there? You could make a WHOLE GAME out of it- An Anchorage Campaign (playing as a U.S. Lieutenant), Sino-American War Campaign (playing as a U.S. Power Armour Soldier), a Resource War Campaign (playing as U.K. Mechanised Infantry Officer) and maybe some bonus missions during the food riots or playing as a Canadian partisan.

THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN SOOOOO MUCH BETTER!

4. The dead pilot in Point Lookout should have a flight suit/ flying jacket on- I loved that little scene with the dead soldier and the pilot in the tree, surrounded by the skeletons of the dead hillbilly mob. There should be more pointless but entertaining scenes like this.

Hammerhead's Wishlist

Keep most of the New Vegas equipment, obviously add more guns/ammo/armor, but...

1. As bad as Skyrim was, add some of the functionality from it (sprint, much larger world, useable vehicles/animals, etc.). It almost felt like New Vegas's development was stunted for Skyrim's betterment, but that's just me, the insane conspiracy theorist talking.

2. Add simulations like Anchorage to give more insight into the pre-War insanity and espionage, maybe even something in Europe, or something the day of the War. For that matter, change the setting to New York. I'm surprised that The Big Apple was not Black Isle's first choice.

3. Make energy weapons they badass collectors items they truly are. Make them nigh-OP guns that are difficult to find, difficult to use, and incredibly rewarding to master. Also, more (and better) alien weapons. Find a better way to work them in than that goddawful Mothership Zeta.

4. Multiple paths, multiple ending, playable after ending. Is it really too much to ask for? Vegas was the first game in the series to allow different paths, the good (NCR), the neutral (House) and the bad (Legion), and, although it was cool, you didn't know what became of the denizens of the Mojave. Factions must be mutually exclusive and have equal yet different bonuses (i.e., Legion give you a Strength point, while siding with BoS gives you ten extra Energy Weapons points).

5. Finetune Hardcore. There's a fine line between challenging yet fun and challenging and painful. Lessen ammo weights slightly, make more realistic sleep requirements (sleep at normal hours, length determines speed of tiredness), make medicine weaker (Rad-x/Away, Jet, etc.). You're supposed to have the various counters barking at the back of your mind, not juggling them constantly. And make the "Survivalist" concept more integral in Casual.

6. 3 and Vegas may have picked most of the meat off of Van Buren's bones, but there is still some marrow left, namely the B.O.M.B.-001 and the whole Ulysses/New Plague thing. Use that, with all of the '50s science-fiction feature cheesiness. Because, after all, that's what Fallout is all about. Perhaps something involving the oft-mentioned Commonwealth?

7. Make things less black and white. I nuked Megaton and proceeded to give gallons of water to Carlos, walking away with "Very Good". Structure the Karmic system to be more objective. IRL, using nuclear weapons on the innocent will not be redeemed by giving water to the drug-addled bum down the street. Let an asshole have his short-term rewards but make it difficult in the long run. If people hate you, make it apparent: pissed off the people in The Hub? Well water just got a Hell of a lot more expensive. Have guards in larger cities bully you, demand for bribes and whatnot.

8.It also must be more like 3. No coddling the player with little radiation and people living it up in cushy hotels with running water while properly armed militaries duke it out. This is the apocalypse for fuck's sake! We want to see people killing each other for scraps and dirty urban homes. Caps must be hard to get, not from a casino that yields 45,000 if you clean them all out.

9. Alter mechanics. Repair should allow you to use scrap metal to fix weapons, add items like Weapon Repair Kits (which, BTW, ditch that. It was too easy, especially with Dead Money). Get rid of unique weapons, allow PC to name the Assault Rifle they've been using the whole game ("My Luck Assault Rifle"). Vastly expand weapon customization (i.e., Chinese Scope or American Scope). Allow the PC to mark his/her housing to stop disappearing/NPC taking items. Allow the player to arm and supply his own caravan to supplement income. Structure the "dungeons" to be more Diablo-ish and have some unique boss at the end. Expand racial options but have a canonical human Vault Dweller.

10. For God's sake, release a finished game on day one, Bethesda. Oblivion, 3, Vegas, Skyrim--It's getting out of hand. And work on your graphics and characters who have three pivot points.

In short, make it more realistic, a bit harder but above all, more fun. I could be adding more as things come to kind. --Hammerhead18 03:21, January 14, 2012 (UTC)

Wishlist

1. Fallout 4 should be set in a place that is either untouched (like the mojave) or nearly destroyed (like D.C.)

2. WE should be able to shape the character any way we want. If I want my character to be a ghoul, then i can cycle through the race option.

3. EXTREMELY DEVELOPED PLOT!

4. Kinect for xbox and use of a mic universally. Like if i wanted to talk to an npc id say 'hi' or 'sup'

5. Better npc A.I.

6. Vehicles

7. Co-Op

8. MAKE I

WISHLIST

-All i want is for it to be a sequel to Fallout 2 -And being able to JOIN THE ENCLAVE -More weapons -I DON'T want vehicles -Better graphics engine -More story driven quests -More info into what happened after the bombs fell -Maybe it could take place in Phoenix, Arizona or some were in California -Possibly a sequel to Fallout New Vegas -Co-op so i can explore the Wasteland with friends -Better A.I. -And finally MORE NUKES

-Wishlist-

1. More places to explore would be great, like in Fallout3. New Vegas was lacking in this respect, which hurt it's replay value.

2. There was way too much diplomacy in NV, many of the quests revolved around running about asking people their two cents, instead of actually doing stuff. Fallout 4 would do better to focus on places to explore and enemies to fight.

Wishlist

  • A new storyline that doesn't re-use story elements from older games.
  • More melee weapon move variations.
  • Less emphasis on the Brotherhood of Steel and Enclave. Kind of like what NV did with the Enclave....
  • Less quantities of items. You know, item conservation.
  • Either a big wasteland, or less copy-pasted locations. More like a big, explorable wasteland. :D
  • AN NPC WHO ISN'T THIN FOR ONCE. And with that, NPCs with unique animations, etc.
  • More songs on the radio station.
  • Less bugs and glitches. LESS BUGS AND GLITCHES
  • A "unique weapon" system with features like giving it your own name, boosting a certain stat, etc. Oh wait, you can do that by modding the game... well, this is for those who can't mod.
  • Neutral non-faction NPCs that level with your character. So you know you're not the only one that's strong out there.
  • More weapon variations.
  • An inifinity mode option where you can continue to play the game just for fun after you finish it. Like, NPCs will respawn and you'll be given a chance to fix your rep with that faction, blardy blardy blah. As long as it doesn't make the game even buggier.
  • An option where you can turn fast-travel off. It's hard to avoid not using it when... you can, and the only option is hardcore mode. :D
  • Option to turn into a ghoul after suffering too much with radiation.
  • A certain level of bad karma that makes you hostile to any faction, and friendly to any raider.
  • Mini-bosses that are actually intimidating, and will make you run.
  • Repair system where you can repair with just scrap metal, etc. Jury-rigging was OP.
  • A perk that lets you sprint.
  • Less perks, more traits.
  • Less skill points, more levels.
  • Three companions, perhaps? :D And with that, more companions. And make them steal less of your kills.
  • A pack brahmin, perhaps. You can bring it with you, but they are fragile. If they die, you have to purchase a new one or capture one and train it.
    • Which reminds me of an idea..... a perk where you can capture your own wasteland pet!!! If you want to get rid of it, either let it go for good karma or "euthanize" it for bad. Higher Survival skill=better pet-capturing skills. It functions like a companion, but you have to watch out for its hunger meter.
    • OR a feature where you can customize your own dog companion. Pick its gender, name, tagged skills, stats, blah. Give it its own dog pack or dog armor or other dog apparel.
  • And seriously, the list goes on.

Note: I'd like to thank some of the previous posters for giving me some good ideas in my wish list. We have something in common, at least. :D

Note to those who think there should be more depression about the apocalypse in Fallout :
I read a few times about how the folks in the games don't seem to be affected by the apocalypse.
It's been 200 years. Don't you think after a few centuries people will come to accept what had happened? OH, right. All of them came out of vaults, or under a rock. NO, THEY DIDN'T. People have continued to live above the surface even after the bombs fell, in the form of tribes and other factions. These tribes developed during those two centuries, creating a generation that is unable to live like they did. And with every generation, the desire to live in the past continues to be pacified. Some may have grown up around this world knowing that the bombs destroyed it, some haven't. But what's common about them is that they grew up in a world where there are giant ants, big rectangle things that have a tendency of exploding, slimy and scaly things swimming in the sea, two-headed bovine creatures, scary blue invisible giant monsters, and noisy metal currency. What gives them the reason to be sad when they've been living in a post-apocalyptic world all their lives? This isn't the year 2078. The ones left to mope are the pre-war ghouls, but look at them. They've either turned feral or have come to accept their situation, and are making the best of it.
Well, I hope you understand.
