This is really, really getting out of hand. Can we just have one giant (cross-referenced) Easter Egg page? We're getting a ton of utterly pointless "potential references" stuck onto everything. Can't we just leave the articles informative rather than filling it with conjecture that is ultimately irrelevant?

This is the same thing I am thinking. There are many "This name is a reference to this character or place in such and such" on many of the pages (Doc Church, which I removed, and Wadsworth to just name a couple). I think in order for these to be allowed on the pages, they need to be referenced. This wiki should have the same standards as any other wiki, and assumption and conjecture aren't allowed on those, so why is it allowed on this one? --MadDawg2552 20:11, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

There are too many pages with unfounded references and it's going to start turning into a revert war. Any references related to any of the Fallout games, with or without sources, should be moved to Cultural references in Fallout, Cultural references in Fallout 2, or Cultural references in Fallout 3, depending on the game it is found in, of course. They are cluttering up the pages and aren't adding anything useful to the articles. If you check out those pages I linked, you will see that all the references are listed there, meaning all the references in the articles are duplicate information. --MadDawg2552 20:14, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

The final conclusion is that trivia references are acceptable page content when they flat-out use the same name e.g. Fawkes = Guy Fawkes, The Shocker = Marvel Comics villain, etc. Also when it looks exactly like a specific thing e.g. leather armor = Mad Max, Deathclaw Gauntlet = Freddy Kruger, etc. Every other possible reference/connection will be moved to discussion pages. Also, the header References is to be used for external links. Trivia references should go under ==Trivia== near the very bottom of the page (nothing should come after weapons lists charts).
