Dr. Tom Franklin was a scientist working at the Cambridge Polymer Labs in 2077. He and the other scientists were locked inside the labs by Jon Elwood when the bombs fell.[1] He eventually killed himself with rat poison after becoming virtually incapacitated due to the radiation in the lab, opting for a quicker end rather than suffering further.[2]
