Trent Bascom is a farmer living at the NCR sharecropper farms in 2281. He can be found tending crops towards the southwestern corner of the farm.
Background[]
Found working on his crops in the southwestern part of the farms, Trent is one of the critics of the NCR's approach to farmers at the sharecropper farms. Originally making a living in the Hub, Trent moved to the Mojave after the Thaler Act was enacted.[1] He mentions getting by on growing maize and tobacco,[2] though the recent water shortages give him no end of troubles in meeting his quota.[3] Ignored by NCR authorities, he is prepared to give up sharecropper farming and move back to California.[4] He considers moving to Redding to work with brahmin, even though he hates working with the animals.[5]

- The White Wash: When talking to Trent, the player character will discover that White talked to Lieutenant Romanowski.
Effects of player's actions[]
- If the Courier resolves the issue in favor of Tom Anderson, the person responsible for the water being diverted, Trent will mention that he's going back to California since he has no way to meet his quota. However, if one reports and kills Anderson, his quota will be accomplished more than he thought, and will offer the player some surplus of tobbaco and maize.
