Project V13

Thanks for the tips on Van Buren and for fixing the PV13 recent news links! Great to have you back, we need a man like you. I was wondering how you created Blog:Project_V13_news. Just create an empty page with the content later on generated by a template? And can we can rid of the redlinked BlogListingPage category on that page? I noticed we can't edit it and other recent news pages like the one for Fallout: New Vegas don't have it. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:02, February 17, 2012 (UTC)

Developers

I also think we shouldn't spend too much time on expanding developer pages, a lot of them won't be interesting to users. But some are, like Chris Avellone, Joshua Sawyer, Timothy Cain and so on. But they already have a good chunk of information. The one you mention though, Scott Campbell, can use some extra info, there's not a lot on his page. Would be worthwile to get the information on his page from the link you posted on my talkpage. So in general, the main developers are worth expanding if needed.

About Project V13, I renamed the few templates still present in [[:Category:Fallout Online portal]] overnight and moved them; what is left to be renamed is {{tl|Wikiportal:Fallout Online/Featured article}}. But it has subpages which can be renamed at the same time. I wouldn't be entirely sure what I'd be doing, so can you take a look? And I wondered why you first renamed the forum index Fallout Online general discussion to Project V13 general discussion and then reverted it again.
And can you change your talkpage link to the Norwegian site to your talkpage here? Jspoel Speech Jspoel 00:46, February 18, 2012 (UTC)
I'm sure he meant to say please ;) κηδεμόνας [~μιλώ~] 00:49, February 18, 2012 (UTC)

Sykers

Thanks for reminding me, I have to sort out a load of cort docs for the wiki.
The reference to Sykers is a little tricky. It was in the (partial) transcript leak of Dec 12 2011.
Referencing the source direct is tricky for a couple of minor issues, which both come from the same initial cause. The leak I recieved was from photographs of the court transcript on courtroom terminals. This means that I have a few dozen Jpegs of the transcript which are hard to read and to make things tougher out of order and missing the odd line. The other problem is that this was that these docs weren't supposed to be accessible outside the court at that time. Given the case is closed I'm not sure the second is really a problem anymore - all US court documents are public documents, even though mine were got with "dirty hands". The former is probably the bigger problem. Is citing the case and date enough, or do we need to work out a solution for the primary source?; all of that said It could simply be I need to check the online system and see if there's a corresponding doc and thus all of that becomes a molehill anyway.Agent c 13:16, February 18, 2012 (UTC)

Bureaucrat

Thanks for the congrats! Jspoel Speech Jspoel 22:18, February 19, 2012 (UTC)

Concept art

Thanks for your blog post. Just asked Tagaziel if we can use his images he uploaded to The Vault. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:33, February 20, 2012 (UTC)

Which page is it on? Then I can have a look to see what you mean :) If it's the one I was thinking of, then I was going to create a page for the Vault, so I can imagine that would be best here too κηδεμόνας [~μιλώ~] 18:41, February 20, 2012 (UTC)
That's the one I thought, I'd create a new page called 'Giant Rat (Fallout 3)', and as for MDad, I'm pretty sure that they could be classed as super mutants. κηδεμόνας [~μιλώ~] 18:50, February 20, 2012 (UTC)
Actually, there is a way you can get confirmation. If you talk to Jspoel, he knows a way to ask J.E.Sawyer questions like that. I think that might be a good idea to ask him to get that confirmation :) κηδεμόνας [~μιλώ~] 19:06, February 20, 2012 (UTC)
As for the bear-type creature, I'd have to agree with you. It has a similar name, and looks extrodinarily similar. What I will say though is that, to me, it looks like it is modelled on the body frame of when a grizzly bear rears up, so I wouldn't classify that as walking around on two legs, but rather showing more of the body by having it in that position. If I'm honest, I reckon that this is a concept for what would become the Yao Guai but that it had it's name changed. I'd also say that it probably doesn't walk aroung like that (also, I've archived my talk for you specially). What do you think? κηδεμόνας [~μιλώ~] 19:45, February 20, 2012 (UTC)
I'd have to disagree with you there. I don't think that the mirelurk is a good precedent when you look at all the work as a whole. A lot of the work ends up exactly the same as it is in the game, and it's entirely feasible that the name would change. For example, recognise this? But yeah, an official answer would be great :). As for the naming of this piece, I will look into the linguistics behind it and endulge my philologist side ;) κηδεμόνας [~μιλώ~] 19:59, February 20, 2012 (UTC)
Oh, that one was the one that stood out the most to me... I thought it was a dead cert'. It's just outside Rivet City when approaching from the West. κηδεμόνας [~μιλώ~] 20:05, February 20, 2012 (UTC)

( We're going to have to upload the images the old fashioned way, Tagaziel doesn't want us to copy his, so we'll respect that. And I'd like to keep those catfish pages separate. Early last year we decided to split the creatures per game, so we're going to do that here too. Giant catfish page separate for Fallout and Catfish mirelurk has a section in the Mirelurk overview page. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 20:13, February 20, 2012 (UTC)

No, I want that page to stay. Not having an image is a pity, but not essential. We have a lot of mentioned only character pages without an image, so also this mentioned creature. I'll wikify it with the dialogue file of the fisherman. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 20:31, February 20, 2012 (UTC)
Nope, not turning any results on the linguistics side. Official check it is ;) κηδεμόνας [~μιλώ~] 20:43, February 20, 2012 (UTC)

Air hammer gun

That's interesting. You used the old infobox on the air hammer gun to get the title header to display cut weapon. That's not possible with the weapon gamebryo template; the type parameter doesn't accept cut. That's the reason you used the old infobox, right? Jspoel Speech Jspoel 23:05, February 20, 2012 (UTC)

KAGBot

My god I can't believe I didn't see that on my talk page. I sent a request to Sannse to give it bot rights. For some reason it will not allow me to do it. I'll let you know when she does it. Again sorry about the wait.--Kingclyde 10:50, March 2, 2012 (UTC)

Sannse gave us bureaucrats the possibility to add the proper rights to bots! So I've given your bot the rights you requested! Jspoel Speech Jspoel 01:42, March 3, 2012 (UTC)
Noticed you set yourself to inactive. I'm sad to see that. Kinda liked having you around here, with your skills. Guess you're going to work on Curse's Wasteland wiki, right? Maybe you can do a bit on Wikia's one too. Well anyway, your choice of course. I was wondering, if we have some bot work, can I give you a ring about that if needed? Jspoel Speech Jspoel 14:06, March 6, 2012 (UTC)
If you feel it's the right thing to do, then that should be good enough for you I think. But you can't blame me for trying to ask you for some help on Wikia. I see your qualities and know-how and as a bureaucrat I feel I should at least try to keep you with us. We're still on the same good terms as always, I respect your decision. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:19, March 6, 2012 (UTC)

Curse

(Just in case you don't notice this one J's TP.) Don't feel that way! It's your decision and preferences that should drive you, not staying out of some sense of misplaced loyalty. ;) Sorry if it seemed like I was trying to guilt-trip you. Dragon Skål! 16:20, March 6, 2012 (UTC)

No hard feelings at all, I will of course respect any decisions you make. I wish you luck with your work over at the Curse variant and I'll be looking forward to still seeing you around here every so often. ;) Dragon Skål! 16:29, March 6, 2012 (UTC)

Status?

Howdy Kristoffer. It's been over a year since you last edited here. In that time, a policy was put in place regarding inactive users with extra rights. After a period of time (9 months), we're supposed to check and see if inactive users still intend to edit and use their rights. I just wanted to check in and see what you wanted to do. If you've moved on, that's obviously completely understandable. Just leave me a message with what you want to do. I appreciate your time,  The Gunny  380px-USMC-E7 svg 19:48, April 5, 2013 (UTC)

Well, it's been a week with no response. I'm gonna go ahead and remove your sysops rights. If you find your way back here, the link in the message above details the process to get them back, if you so desire. The Gunny  380px-USMC-E7 svg 19:30, April 12, 2013 (UTC)

Inactive bot

I've removed the bot flag from your inactive bot account. If you need the bot flag replaced, please contact me. The Gunny  380px-USMC-E7 svg 17:08, April 20, 2013 (UTC)
