Actually that was me (Kastera). I found the site from the reference of A Light Shining in Darkness being an Officers M1911 and followed the link. Joshua Graham's pistol.[]
Hello.
I noticed you removed a line from the notes on Joshua Graham's page. Just a question, and not just because I wrote the edit :-). The other sentence in the notes also refers to him using the same gun for melee combat, but you left that in. Seems it would be an all-or-nothing edit removal. My point being, the G.E.C.K. is a "behind the scenes" tool. As far as the player is concerned he's using the same gun, and the whole tone of the notes section is "in-game". Just wondering what your reasoning was. All the best, --FourWayDiablo 12:42, July 19, 2011 (UTC)
- Fair enough, it was only flavour text anyway. I've been trying to tidy up various pages whilst working around the more hyperbolic edits (I wouldn't consider Graham a "master of melee weapons", for example), without leaving the text too dry. --FourWayDiablo 15:04, July 19, 2011 (UTC)

location pages[]
Figured I'd bounce this idea off you seeing as you are the locations project leader.
Would it be useful to: Develop a script that walks the Fallout 3 web pages, looking for location pages. When a location page is found, scrape the adjacent locations (buildings) from the page. Take the gathered info and generate a web page for each location with links to the location's source page(s) and links to the generated page for each adjacent location.
If a location link on a generated page is incorrect (say Megaton links to Arefu), the generated page is not corrected, the source page is found and corrected, and the script is run again to replace the generated pages.
The generated web pages would have almost no descriptive text, follow the link to the source page for that. The current web pages would not be replaced.
This would create a set of pages that are very lean and highly formatted, using the information that has already been written. In my hallucination, the generated pages would eventually map one-to-one to the actual locations in Fallout 3.
The script could be enhanced to scrap other info, like loot, characters, quests, etc. and put them on the generated pages.
What do you think? Or is there someone else should evaluate this? Or has this already been done?
Thank you --User:TheLoneJanitor - "Hey kid, you done with that bottle?" 03:26, August 4, 2011 (UTC)

Basincreek[]
I did check the spawn amount. In fact, I loaded the Basincreek Building 3 times to be sure of the amounts of items spawning. I felt what I added was pertinent information considering that someone said that the second floor loot couldn't be obtained at all. This was my first edit ever. And since it was deleted before I even finished, it'll be my last. I just thought people would want to know that the items were obtainable contrary to what was posted in the notes on that page... Nuka Breaker[]
Hi Nitty ;)!
If you can provide a proof from the devs that the Nuka Breaker is a reference to the Nuka Break serie, I'm ok for add it on the page. If not, please don't put it on the page, it's just a bad speculation and we don't need that here (especially from an admin).
Also, the reference of Sprtel-Wood 9700 was from Josh Sawyer -> [1], and not from a bad speculation.
In an additional note, we don't know when Gun Runners' Arsenal was developed and it was announced (so the development was finished sometime before) on August 25 with the first image was the Nuka Breaker, so the development began a long time before (for creation of the 3D models, the textures etc.). The Nuka Break episode 3 was released on September 26. It's the fan-made series that actually reference the game, not the other way around.
Have a nice day and see you around! Itachou [~talk~] 11:22, October 5, 2011 (UTC)
- Please read everything I wrote above Nitty and not just a part. Itachou [~talk~] 12:51, October 5, 2011 (UTC)
- Just to notify you, I've asked Sawyer on Formspring, and mentioned as much on the NB's talkpage. I'll be sure to message you when he answers. Hugs "Say 'ello to my little friend!"
False, as you can see, this image was uploaded on August 25:
And the episode 3 was released on September 26. So I await your conclusion on the issue.
I just remove at least 4-5 times this reference on the page so I get tired, like the user who started the topic on the talk page. Without real proof, bad speculation is not allowed here and you should know Nitty. Itachou [~talk~] 21:13, October 5, 2011 (UTC)
- Just a note Nitty but what you have done here is sadly a fault into your admin position in my opinion. You have bring a speculation without proof and without check in spite of all that I told you. It was easy to see when the Gun Runners' Arsenal page was created (August 25) or when the image was uploaded (August 25), but no, you have prefered to keep your speculative position without listening to the arguments of others and without checking. So please in the future, be more neutral and open minded. I know you since long time and I had trouble understanding your action while you were without fault from the beginning. But it doesn't matter, each of us have made mistakes and you remain an excellent admin for me, and a good friend =).
- Also, nothing is minor, such acceptance without real proof can bring a lot of more speculation in the future. Anyone comes on the talk page and talk with people before adding a reference which is not sure (as some people have done), not add it as if he was sure of him without real proof and verification (as some people have done also), pragmatic actions are not welcome here as you know. Adding a reference which is not sure, not verified and without proof is "inserting false information". For a reference which is not sure, just come with or wait a proof is the thing to do. Itachou [~talk~] 15:18, October 6, 2011 (UTC)
about "fallout new vegas" references[]
While going through I noticed that very likely reference was unlisted. I made a section before realizing that it was blocked, so I figured that you could look at it. The section is
==Beyond the Horizon==
- When passing a speech check with Ralph he will open up a secret stock of weapons for you to buy. When you talk to him after unlocking the hidden addition, he will say "A polite society is an armed society." This is almost word for word, with polite and armed switching it is exactly, a quote from Robert A. Heinlein's "Beyond the horizon", but the quote also appears in "Time Enough for Love".
I think it's a likely reference because you don't see anything in it's vain elsewhere in the game, and it's a rather good choice for the game, because that's the main threat for not taking anything, until you get a unique weapon that is.
Hope you consider, thanks.

How to hide text[]
Sorry to bother you, but would you happen to know how to add text to an article so you can only see it when you go to edit? For example, you want to tell editors not to add a certain piece of trivia to a section, but have it only when they hit the edit button and go to add it, not when simply browsing the article. Aestune's ban[]
I'm sorry, but I see your ban of Aestune as a very clear conflict of interest. You considered his civil disagreement a problem but "So, why don't you shut the fuck up and shove these stupid comments up your ass" was OK? I understand there is history here, but removing dissent at this critical moment is very unreasonable. I'm asking that you remove this ban... you are getting your say, please allow others the same. -- sannse (help forum | blog) 01:02, November 23, 2011 (UTC)
- Aestune was banned after disagreeing with people in a style that seems very consistent with a lot of the other comments here. The comment I quoted was a previous one on the same blog post (directed at someone else unhappy with admins here). I see that one as worse than anything Aestune said, but it seems to have been ignored. The style here seems to frequently be less polite than I tend to feel appropriate, but it was only when one person argued strongly against your position that you chose to ban.
- As I said, I understand that there is history, but Aestune wasn't banned after he first edited... which would be what I would expect if this were about him having another account. There were 30 or more comments before the ban, and I suspect any impartial observer would be worried about him being shut down that way.
- Aestune cannot wait out the ban, it's infinite. And it's at a time when banning him silences counter arguments. For fairness' sake, everyone should get their say right now. -- sannse (help forum | blog) 01:33, November 23, 2011 (UTC)

Aestune[]
I reviewed the ban and cannot see too many actual similarities to Flowers. Flowers attacked the wiki and wanted all of us admins to be "rotated out". This person is really just arguing the whole name thing. It appears he/she was taking sides but that in a way makes the ban look biased. I will lower the ban to a week (from today) and leave a note on the page. Insulting editors should not create a perm ban. And it does not appear to be a sock puppet account.--Kingclyde 22:42, November 30, 2011 (UTC)
