Hi there![]

FO1 intro Vault Boy

Welcome to the Vault!

Welcome to our Fallout wiki and thank you for your contributions! I hope you'll stay with us and make many more improvements.

A little help to get you started:

  • Recent changes lets you see what other people are editing right this minute and where you can help. You can also check our community portal for things to do.
  • If you haven't already, create a user page about yourself. If you do, we'll be able to know you better as a member of our community.
  • If you have questions, you can ask in our forums, join the live chat in our IRC channel or post a message on my talk page.
  • The help pages can help you learn how to edit and how use the wiki tools. The Vault's policies and guidelines can help you with putting those tools to good use and getting up to speed with our editing customs.

I'm glad to have you here and look forward to working with you!

Capitalization[]

I direct your attention to our policy on capitalization. Cheers.--Gothemasticator 18:07, June 14, 2010 (UTC)

Terminal entries[]

Not to rain on your parade, but there is a full list of terminal entries at User:Mirar/FO3 notes (albeit with holodisk and paper note texts mixed in). Of course, they are not ordered by the terminals they appear in, but at least transcribing the texts has already been done :) -- Porter21 (talk) 11:17, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

Well, the sort of work you're doing is certainly very welcome :) I'd suggest you take a look at Category:Fallout 3 terminal entries and see for which locations the corresponding pages are still missing; you could then add those if you like. You simply don't have to write down all the entries; a text search on the page I've linked usually brings up the transcript of any entry (which is also guaranteed to be 100% correct as they were exported directly from the construction set). -- Porter21 (talk) 11:53, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

Anti-materiel rifle[]

I take a very dim view of people vandalizing the anti-materiel rifle page. This edit comes perilously close to vandalism by adding a note incorrectly indicating that the name is misspelled when it's not. There's a reason why every instance of the name within the article has a HTML comment indicating that the spelling is correct. Consider this a warning not to do it again. Thanks.
Also, regarding that edit, please don't improperly capitalize things. --Kris User Hola 15:43, November 7, 2010 (UTC)

You're splitting hairs on the spelling issue; the note says it's spelled correctly, therefore it's spelled correctly and a note should not be added saying it's not. On pages where the item isn't spelled correctly we do note that. --Kris User Hola 19:19, November 8, 2010 (UTC)
Add a comment? The article is peppered with HTML comments about the name being spelled correctly. Every instance of "materiel" has a comment by it. --Kris User Hola 19:49, November 8, 2010 (UTC)
